That was awsome! I've been to the drag strip bunch of times, but never saw anything like this! Only place around here that has something like this says you need a special license to race!?!?!?
I guess you're right. The only problem is my dash says "200Mph" and I would like to "legally" get close to that. I did "illegally" get to 160 once but I don't like doing that!
GREAT footage Junkman! You have sparked my interest for sure - my boys are gonna kill me if their coach misses a football game in the fall, though! Seriously contemplating it, though!
Looks And Sounds Like Such A Blast!! Is A New Windshield In Your Future? I Noticed What Looked Like "Sand Sparkle" Or Tiny Chips In The Glass. These Annoy Me Almost As Much As Swirls.
Those of us who have done it before could get up to 130-140 but the noobs could only get up to around 95 in the turns. It takes a while to get use to and everyone is scared to death of crashing so they really take it easy. Once you get the hang of it, you really start "gettin' some!"
Great videos! I just watched your series on the slow cut technique and it was great. I've been planning on getting the PC 7424 for a while to get rid of the the swirls on my truck, and your vids will help a lot!
As for the PC XP in Australia, I have one but it cost me $380 for the voltage converter and plug adaptor. I also have two Makita 9227 rotaries and a Makita BO6030 orbital and a Flex DA
You're most welcome! Question for you, As an Aussie it seems I cannot operate or get a PC - 7424 here. Do you have an alternative option that I might be able to source here that will be adequate for a novice?
There are different versions of the PC. Meguiar's has one and Griot's also has a branded one. They are basically the same machine, just are branded with those company names. They usually cost more but you're only paying more for the name. There is no difference between them and the regular PC.
You may want to try eBay. You really want a regular PC if you can get one as the others are more expensive for nothing.
Thanks for the reply! I think the issue is that we run 240V mains here and the cost of an expensive transformer just might make it unreleastically expensive here. Can always hope that someone brings out the device for our powerzone. I'll check out the other brands to see if they do a version for Australia.
Your love for life, passion and excitement really show through all your videos. Such a value member! Thanks for all the tips and everything. You're a true legend. Suprised you're not on TV!
WOW! That's a heck of a compliment! I'm flattered! Thanks for posting. You only go around once and I'm trying to get everything out of the way before I start breaking down! lol!
you sound like you had such a blast! glad ya got ya some, and for such a worthy cause! now get to scrubbing that baby back up, i know it had to get dirty as heck on the track. excellent video!!!!!

Well technically, we weren't racing, we were following the pace car. I was following the pace car too, I just wanted to be a tad bit closer to it. :D

I don't think that white car was a Z06. I think it was just a white FRC. I didn't see a rear brake duct.
