@08kie09 That's exactly the party I use, so you'll be fine. It helps to have a Synergist buffing Vanille and another Sab to inflict debuffs, which contribute towards your chances of inflicting Death.

@sec0ndevolution I usually get the second saboteur (Fang for me) to inflict status ailments/debuffs and Hope (My synergist) casts haste on the party, so death is cast more often.

@08kie09 I usually start SAB-SYN-SYN. Cast Vigilance on yourself as Vanille and wait for Hope to caste Haste on her as well. Then switch to SAB-SAB-SYN and summon Hecatoncheir. Cast 2-3 debuffs to improve your hit-rate and then start spamming Death.

Death is more likely to stick if there are other debuffs on it. Malboro wand actually does nothing to improve death's chance of sticking. At this guy's point it's easier to just have Fang as theleader and kill it normally after killing the legs with a summon.

this guy was probably maxed out on crystarium crap but you can do this whenever you get the death spell but i would check out sazh fighting the oversized turtle. even though his crystarium is maxed his stats are super low because his equips suck ass and his health is high but he never gets hit so yeah check that one out

it took me 70 hours of game time to be able to kill a long gui without summoning or using shrouds. btw people that use shrouds are idiots cos if you have a level 5 synergist the buffs will last a lot longer than a shroud...

Hmm, how did you do this? where you fought that Adamantoise is where a Long Gui is on my file.

Also, I've vsed a fuckload of Long Gui's, Shalong Gui's (forgot it's name) and only ever got one Trapezohedron...

I never use Vanille fighting them either, her weapons arn't upgraded like Hopes and I prefer his abilities.

by the way, when death finally worked, the Adamantoise's was at it's stagger threshold, so it appears the best time for it's succession is then. if he gets up, your pretty much screwed because his attacks deal damage around the 5000, so i suggest you farm on another enemy first and get a high hp level (northern highplain, right before you leave the area and enter the caves)

Another way to farm for easy cp is to repeat mark missions. Ex: mission 30 syphax is worth 30000cp and he's not too tough if you've already beat orphan. some of the Titan trials are pretty easy with high cp. As far as getting Gil, platinum ingots is the best bet.
