  • Well That was disappointing... The last Domino didn't even fall over... D:

  • Lol :-)

  • Omfg

  • It's like Cobb's totem; is that last piece gonna fall or what??!!??

  • I saw 3d, it's cool, my eyes are trained to cross eye since i was little, it doen'st hurt

  • dude stupid

  • I SAW THE3D

  • FAIL!

  • 0:47 FAIL!

  • 0:47 EPIC FAIL!

  • this is not stereogram!!!

  • Does anyone know how to swap the right and left eye views? I try clicking the option in the 3D bar, but it just clicks through to the video (and pauses it).

  • this is not stereogram, its 3d anaglyph what needs special glasses,or its stereoglyph what needs special glasses too

  • Im good at autostereograms! I see wolves and trains, i have a book with nothing but them in it called "Magic Eye"

  • This isn't stereogram. This is 3d

  • Ow, maaan, the last one didn't fall. =\ I hate it when that happens.

  • this is not cross eyed stupid

  • @Opticane

youtube has an option on how you want to view it in 3d, just click the "Cross-eyed" selection

  • Excellent!

I like the concept and the execution.

I used to set up domino soldiers when I was a kid. We had a big flat front porch of smooth cement.

Question: If you set up an arch as you show with real dominoes, do they fall like that? I don't have any dominoes now.

And I'll take your word for the numbers on the dark side of that last domino standing. :-)

  • @neihuslim Thanks for the feedback!

Dominoes fall different each time, so there is no knowing how they fall. The motion of the dominoes here was calculated by Blender's Game Engine, which uses the Bullet Physics System. So in some sense it is realistic. You could be sure they would fall faster however.

  • One more note - it is possible to change the weights of dominos using Blender, so you could cheat the physics and make some pretty cool non-Newtonian stuff. However, all the dominoes in this video are the same weight. The last domino is not set to move at all, so that is the one place where I cheated the physics.

  • ?¿

  • Okay - fix #4, just a minor quality improvement. Now the tags are "yt3d:enable=true yt3d:aspect=2:3 yt3d:swap=true"

This way the video does not lose quality though any stretching, even the nominal stretching that the previous tag caused.)

  • Alright - 3d fix number 3. I think I have it right now and am wearing my glasses correctly.

    The tags are now "yt3d:enable=true yt3d:aspect=3:4 yt3d:right=0.5_0_1_1 yt3d:left=0_0_0.5_1"

To view the original (or a close similarity) set the 3D style to "parallel".

Also - note that the 2-color dependent 3d technologies still don't work that well with this video.

  • Okay - I repent.

I have reactivated the 3d feature on this video and tweaked some settings to make it work better (with the tags "yt3d:enable=true yt3d:aspect=3:4 yt3d:left=0.5_0_1_1 yt3d:right=0_0_0.5_1" I think I got it right - hey, sometimes it helps to be a nerd!)

If you want to watch this video as it looked in its original form, *I think* if you set the 3D View Style to "Cross Eyed" you will have it.

    The original resolution was 640x480.

  • I should mention that I created this video before I knew about youtube's tag "yt3d:enable=true" feature. I applaud their efforts, but when I tried the feature on this video, it came out ugly-warped and non-3d. (my own earlier attempts at red-blue 3d with this model failed as well, and hence they are not posted). I hope to make videos that cooperate with this technology better once I come to understand it.

P.S. Glad to see @ 4 ratings and 296 views it has 4 stars.

  • Thanx!

  • that's cool
