hah i broke my collar this easter of 2011 and like when i went to hospital they took x rays and gave me a sling and like a pain pill then i went home and they put a plate in my arm and my scar is like straight across and like i split my neck muscle and a bunch of veins and tishu and stuff like that i thought it was funny cause i crashe dmy bike and i got up and laughed then went to hospital lol
Broke my left clavicle 2 weeks ago on a mt bike. Its damn displaced with broken pieces and you can see the pointy bone outline through my skin. Its just sitting on top if the other broken side. My first doc said no surgery needed but it looks nasty with the pointy stuff all up in my shoulder. I don't know what to do. Surgery or not? They say you can get nerve damage after surgery...that doesn't seem fun. I had a second opinion and the doc said it's up to me. Let me know guys. Thnx
It's my second favorite scar. I've got one that looks like a tear coming out of my left eye, that's my favorite. It's hard to see because it happened 17 years ago but it's cool.
This all happened almost a year ago. It still hurts but nothing to cry about. I heard of people getting the plate removed later and the pain going away. If I ever need to spend a few grand, I'll get that done.
You might want to ask for the surgery, you only get one chance to heal it right. I got a plate + screws on my bone vs a rod in the bone. It's been 9 months and the only issue I have is nerve damage, kinda feels like minor frost bite. Mobility is at 100%.
The scar looks real cool too and you can see the outline of the plate though my skin.
Medical bills were about $3,000 with insurance though.
@4hoodedniggz Yeah I'm kind of pissed that they didn't perform surgery on mine. It was up into a V shape and they just gave me a sling. To this day it still feels weaker than my other shoulder. There is also a pretty nice bump on it from where the bone calcified over

My collarbone has been broken before I was in a hammock me and my sis made and I was swinging in it then I untied and I went flying on the floor

Broke mine about a month ago but its almost healed now, thankfully i didnt need surgery but the doctor saif it was a nasty break! :P

That's pretty cool. I broke mine a couple of weeks ago and had it operated on. I've literally got a 3-4 inch cut. I have internal stitches though
