This is the decade where real fashion went down the toilet. Women here in America stopped wearing skirts/dresses (minis especially), heels & nylons. In other words they stopped dressing sexy & conservatively. This is also where movies, music, TV & sports all took a huge nosedive. The decade that gave us shit like Lady CaCa, Avril Lavigne, Katy Perry, St!nk, Rihanna, Coldplay, Paramore, Not So Good Charlotte, All Things Don't Rock, Emo Screamo, Gays Anatomy, Desperate Hosebags, AI & Reality TV.
Gay shit. The new millennium SUCKS!! So why do a lameass show about the most depressing decade I've ever lived through?
The only thing good about the new millennium is what was in the REAL news. NOT Hollyweird, NOT music, NOT movies, NOT pro sports & certainly NOT reality or talk shows.
Actually, the fact is that in terms of popular culture, extravagance, and general idiocy, this decade was so much worse than any decade before it, including the 1980s. And that's precisely why I love (hating) the 00s, it was such an over the top and outrageously bad decade, it'll always be entertaining to make fun of.
All episodes are on Veoh somebody uploaded them all!!! Thanks to who ever did it. pretty funny I heard theyre coming up with the last last part 08 and 09 soon.
This show is fun for us young people who grew up in the zeros. I don't know maybe we should save these for another 20 years because it's really not all that nostalgic. Lol. Our kids will say "Look I'm emo. I'm a zeros guy!" I'm 20 I was too young to party like it's 1999. I got screwed, but then again I don't know why people partied. This was one of the worst decades in our nation's history. The zeros sucked royal chode! We did get the Ipod, internet, and the nice cars, so that's good.
Jim Nieb here from the video. Thanks for posting this. I was surprised to find it. What a lot of comments as well. Glad you enjoyed the spot. It was a lot of fun to shoot!
In the 2000's, music in general got worse. Never before have I seen so many untalented stiffs be regarded as "stars" in their profession. This includes that singing turd Ashlee Simpson. I'll never forget the 2005 Orange Bowl. That was a testament to how much music sucks today. Has there ever been a more unprofessional cast? Nobody stands out in music today. NOBODY.
haha we dont dress as crazy as the 80s. the 90s was influenced by the 80s but changed it. we were influenced by the 90s and changed it too. this will probably keep happening over and over. infact i dont think things change by the decade, its like every 5 years. because early 00s was like the late 90s.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
A few of the main things that I really am surprised that they didn't mention are: Livestrong bands, High School Musical, Hollister, and Hannah Montana. I guess the problem is that the comedians were never kids in this decade so they wouldn't really have well-rounded points of views.
I still don't understand why they didn't wait until the new millenium was over. Why would they start now and were not even out of the decade yet. And surprised they didn't talk about 9/11 and Dale Earnhardt in the 2001 episode.
I REALLY hate to say it, but the shit sucked. Why the fuck didn't they talk about Eminem in 2000? EVERYBODY was talking about him back then and he started alot of controversy, but Eminem wasn't even talked about. They better come out with "I Love The New Millenium part 2 like they did "I Love The 90s". "I Love The 90s" and "I Love The 90s Part Duex" is my favorite ones out of all of them. They really disappointed me when they didn't mention Eminem. Did they even mention 8 Mile in 2002?
I agree it would of been hilarious to see their comments on all that Disney junk! I think it's because the comedians were never kids in this millenium so they wouldn't have a very good view. That's why they never talked about toys besides the razor scooter.
Feel free to ad on, but please don't delete this cuz its like the 1000000000th time I've had to redo this! Lets hope they do a part 2 because they left out some pretty major stuff!
Livestrong bands, High School Musical, Starbucks, energy drinks, Atkins Diet, Obesity epidemic/ health craze, Hannah Montana, Hollaback Girl, Pon De Replay, Sexyback, Minneapolis bridge collapse, Juno, Emo
i agree with u, 100%, they left out a lot. i mean it was still awesum, i've seen it like 100 times, but i mean c'mon, obesity is taking over the country and no1 tlkd about it?! and sexy baq was like the greatest song, so was hollaback girl. and they didnt even mention the biggest disney channel hit, hsm. like i sed, it was great and all, but they left out sum major stuff.
so what wil be in the I Love The New Millenium 2008, well most likely the obama vs hilary, the olympics cuz u know somethings gunna happen this summer in chinia, and back to 2007 im suprised they didnt talk about hannha montana craz, i would have love to hear them joke about that
they act like 2007 was 1991 or smoething, damn and they could have waited at least to 2009 or mid 09, but they 2000 episode was the best, love to see how things have changed
Why they didn't mention anything about Napoleon Dynamite, The Blue Collar Comedy Tour, or Howard Dean going nuts at the Iowa Caucus on the 2004 edition is beyond me. Of course I'm sure they'll have an I love the new millennium part 2 where they'll mention all the stuff they didn't in this one.
VH1 just couldn't wait for the 2000s to end to show I Love the New Millenium. I know that this decade is about 85% complete but they could've waited until at least December 2009 to show this.
true, the new milleneuim is not over yet, and i am waching it right now at this second as i am typing and they are treating the 2000's like the past, it's not over yet!!!!!!!!

the show is funny, but still we should wait at least until 3 or 4 years AFTER this decade is over! and I think that the show should go back to the old satus quo, no politics or tragedy! We get enough of that shit in the news, in ANY decade! its supposed to be about pop culture. I say VH1 should stick to the pop culture.
i think their main reason for doing it this early, is that they might not be around in 2010 or 2016, so their doing it now while their on top and people are interested in this topic.
and even if they do stay around that long people might not even be interested.
maybe they just wanted to do it now cause there are just soo many things happening right now! The war, Britney, the election, Britney. Did i mention BRITNEY?? so i say y wait? bsides, just like i love the 70's,80's, & 90's they'll do a part 2! (my fav is I love the 80's) Nothin really happened in the 90's. (bsides me being born!! :D)
britney used to b cool then she went downhill and everyone wuz like omg look wat she did but now,idk bout u ,but she bores me cause thats all she does . idk bout now though i ignor her.
I think for most of what 2007 had to offer would only be a total shot in the dark to say it, but THE REAL REASON 2007 might have been instant nostalgia would be all thanks to Christopher Mintz-Plasse.
What can I say? If it weren't for the phrase "I'M McLOVIN", plus the fact that people would stop saying it at some point in 2008, you could see just how 2007 would be brought up at some point. In short, that phrase will NEVER die.
Not only that, but NO ONE will ever let go of I-35W's demise.
Just to have 2008 & 2009 in the mix. For all we can sum up about this year & next year, 2008 would be nothing more than an argument between Hillary Clinton & Barock Obama(to whom will OBVIOUSLY be President anyway), Gas Prices going up to $4(god forbid $5 gas), The Olympics in Beijing, TV's switching to Digital Broadcasting, the NY Giants making an upset to The New England Patriots, Total Drama Island, & the rest will be written until it happens just after the end of 2008 & the rest of 2009.
they copied the WAZZ UP idea from this lil kid video these kids were on the phone saying wazz up...n the response would b...drinkin sum milk watchin the game like he said chillin n rulin da world.
degrassi31, what in the world? You're obviously a little too young to realize that the WAZZZUP thing wasn't a parody on a youtube vid by little kids drinking milk...It was from a budweiser commercial in 2000 where they were "watchin the game havin a bud." everybody and their mother started saying WUZZZUPPP after that. it was also parodied in Scary Movie. they wouldn't parody something if it didnt have some kind of pop culture significance.
I'm surprised they don't have I love the 90's part 3. There's still much to be discussed. The 90s is starting to get more retro, now that more time has passed. I'll watch I love 2K, but it's still to early to be nostalgic.
I Love The 90s when I was 18. And yet, it was a highly transformed decade. We had NEW WAVE & GRUNGE in the start, then BUBBLEGUM TEENY-BOPPER POP & ALTERNATIVE COLLEGE ROCK at the end.
I'm only watching ILTNM just to see if they'll mention DETHKLOK somewhere along 2006 & 2007. If not, then I'll be enraged & outraged.
Not only that, but watching Gas Prices jump dramatically would be about the footnote to the decade that still is. So yeah, Taylor Dane will have something to talk about.
Oh, the 90's was the deacde of ends. The end of quality rap, the end of not giving a fuck, the end of relaxation, and most importantly, the end of Britney Spears sanity :(
Think about it, she use to say "I'm Single" when she was all right with the world. But then making wrong decisions(namely K-Fed & shaving her head) and ended up with more than she bargan'd for as a Pop Singer, Mother, & Eye Candy to desperate nerdy youths who once said in 1999 that they'd marry her.
Yeah, Rap went downhill, although I like Eminem, even though he has his critics. And as for not giving a fuck & relaxation...BLAME OSAMA for that one.
What really disappointed me about this show is I love the 90's never talked about Star Wars Episode 1 wasn't that a Huge thing in 1999. That is why I stopped watching this program.
With any luck, a 3rd I LOVE THE 90s might come in and talk about Anakin Skywalker before he became Darth Vader. For all I know, they'll end up talk'n about the PSP vs Nintendo DS in I LOVE 2005, and then the raising concern about Emulators & Roms running on both systems, which was said in a Holiday 2005 issue of GamePro.
You're not alone with mentioning faves, tlo65. If they should talk about anything right now, it's THEY MIGHT BE GIANTS. They deserve a spot on ILT80s, 90s, & NEW MILLENNIUM.
Would it be for her show on E!, or for her death in 2007?
I mean, she did say she was the next Marilyn Monroe, and well...ya know the rest, since it was LAST YEAR.
I remembered watch'n her in the 3rd The Naked Gun series, but for Skyscraper...I didn't see it. I've heard about it, but I haven't seen it.
If they mention I LOVE THE 80s in I LOVE 2002, then y'know they're running out of ideas. Not unless they get I LOVE THE 60s. I guess it's for Michael Ian Black's existence that counts to VH1?
i love this series but i think its a little too early to look back at this last decade considering it isnt even over yet. this decade so far has pretty much sucked. i guess the people who'll appreciate it most are those kids 13 and under.
Watch MadTV's "I Luv Vh1" skit, "Mrs. Garret the show is catching up with it's self." "NOOH!" "catching up with it's self." "NOOH!""catching up with it's self." "NOOH!"
"Vh1 has fold in upon itself and caused a wrinkle of time; please stay tuned for the end of the world."
But seriously the only good things to come out of The New Millenium is PS2, Xbox, Xbox360, and PS3; other then that it is Same Shit, Different Decade.
This is the decade where real fashion went down the toilet. Women here in America stopped wearing skirts/dresses (minis especially), heels & nylons. In other words they stopped dressing sexy & conservatively. This is also where movies, music, TV & sports all took a huge nosedive.

As much as I love this idea, I dont really understand why Vh1 is doing this now with 2 1/2 more years to go

ROFLOLMAOxINFINITY to Brittney Spears.

They deserve a spot on ILT80s, 90s, & NEW MILLENNIUM.
jonnyveliky 3 years ago
lmao.
they're going to talk about Anna Nicole Smith.
Byakugan12236 3 years ago
Would it be for her show on E!, or for her death in 2007?
I mean, she did say she was the next Marilyn Monroe, and well...ya know the rest, since it was LAST YEAR.
I remembered watch'n her in the 3rd The Naked Gun series, but for Skyscraper...I didn't see it. I've heard about it, but I haven't seen it.
If they mention I LOVE THE 80s in I LOVE 2002, then y'know they're running out of ideas. Not unless they get I LOVE THE 60s. I guess it's for Michael Ian Black's existence that counts to VH1?

oh crap! not again! lmaoo
i love this series but i think its a little too early to look back at this last decade considering it isnt even over yet. this decade so far has pretty much sucked. i guess the people who'll appreciate it most are those kids 13 and under.
