  • @JudeOrEleanor thank you for putting the mp3/itunes links for all of these s&g songs!

  • Paul Simon's voice is incredible in this song!

  • Simon and garfunke are the best...

  • Looks like 2 Islamic extremists disliked this vid.

  • @hablerz Sorry, but what do on earth islamic extremists have to do with this song?

  • @hablerz I agree.

  • @hablerz fuck are you talking about bro where that come from?

  • @hablerz If you change Galilee to Makkah it be pretty much the same...

  • YEAH I AM HIPIE BOY ! LOVE SONGS FROM 60'''

YEAAAAAAAAAH NOW I WANT TO PUT SOME FLOWERS TO HAIRS OF SOME LOVELY GIRL !DAMN!!

  • J'adore ! excellent ! <3

  • He brought JOY

  • @recole1 He brought MILK and COOKIES

  • yes to do!!!!

  • Know whats so great about this. The joy S and G found in a piece like this. It feels joyful and fun, energetic. The religion was not a concern, it was the music and tey could appreciate it on that level and embrace that. No prejudice here, folks. Just love of music. God, I love these guys. Notice there are several Christian folk songs on this album. Long live S & G!

  • @apol7lo Uh..you realize that a great deal of this music is traditional, as in folk.

That's the main reason why there are so many references to Christianity. lol.

Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel were raised Jewish, however Art Garfunkel is an avid reader and that's probably where it comes from. There's a lot of poetry and metaphors in the bible that makes for interesting song writing.

I've noticed even atheists/agnostics have made references to the bible in their work, Robert Frost for example.

  • Very good

  • Brings backs some really good memories, weren't they pretty bloody good !!!!!

  • I love this song ! Joy joy joy joy ! I love how simon sing in 0:40 !

  • I prefer 0:09 - 0:30 , but the hole song is goodd :))

  • The arrangement was lifted from Bob Gibson and Hamilton Camp.

  • @phljrh Yes, this debut album of theirs was evidently a collection of

lifts and covers, the body of their club act. Whatever the critics and Hammond

saw in them didn't quite translate to vinyl. The album went unrecognized,

and likely would remain so until "Sounds Of Silence" became a sleeper smash.

  • @phljrh No it wasn't lifted, they gave Bob Gibson and Bob camp credit for it.

  • I'm a teenager, and I'm more than proud to say that I got a record player for my birthday last year and I love Simon and Garfunkel. They'll live forever!

  • when I was younger I didn't understand English and I sang this song :P S&G I love them :)

Now I'm a teenager too and I love the sound and because I understand their texts I love them too :P

    S&G live forever

  • @UberFrederick Hope it was a Crosley "Stack-O-Matic" repro model.

That's the only way to get down with the old Columbia "360"s..!

  • This was really a beautiful album. I heard it properly as a small kid, when I picked out the 8-track tape at Lafayette Electronics with my new player. Back in 1964 though, with the folk craze, these guys got lost in the shuffle and ended up sounding like Smothers Brothers soundalikes without the comedy. Paul's

subsequent U.K. album, "Songbook", was way more powerful.

  • Awesome song!!!!

    Simon And Garfunkel Forever!!!
