  • Pure beauty indeed. There is pride that can be felt in what she was doing. This woman was in love with her craft and it showed.

  • She is immortal.

  • Lovely!!!!

  • Can never stop listening to her. I feel as if I am flying.

  • My favorite female voice of all time. She is the only one who could mess up the lyrics and get away with it. Her voice was a true gift from God. <3

  • @MissCarlyMatt

actually, her voice by most standards was ugly. don't get me wrong, I love callas, but she is 1% talent 99% hard work, conviction and artistry. that why she and joan sutherland are often compared at opposite ends of the spectrum. sutherland was pure, unadulturated singing with a heavenly voice; callas was grit, charisma, passion and drama. sutherland was bright, angellic and ethereal; callas was dark, cavernous and ferocious. that's why both are loved and hated

  • @raigekimaru the wobbly high notes in other pieces from this concert are ugly, but here? the voice is distinct to be sure, but the chest voice, which makes up half this piece, is full and baritonal; the head voice is dark but resonant and spinning. It's not bell-like, but more like silver itself.

  • As close to an angel as anybody could ever be.

  • She made some changes to the original lyrics it seems. Anyone french who can transliterate? :)

  • i cant believe nobody comments, tells me how fucked up taste for music is nowadays

  • My favorite part of the suite :)
