  • was this filmed with a potato?

  • i think if you put an ss uniform on certain people they will instantly become evil,Christoph became evil infact i would need to be convinced Christoph wasnt evil even though we know he is an actor and obviously a nice fella he still has a very happy physcho thing going on!!!

  • Before Inglorious Basterds Waltz was the most underrated German actor ever. The German movies he had to play in before sucked!

  • I wonder if this guy wants ablowjob... cause i d be willing to give him one all he needs to do is ask...

  • He speaks english better then english people

  • Hes a bastard lol a real bastard

  • if that was me talking to him i'd be all: "omg you were so awsim in that film holy crap you rule" over and over again. :P

  • Christoph Waltz is an amazing actor. I didn't even want to see the Green Hornet... then I found out he was in the movie, and now it's at the top of my 'to-see' list x).

  • he is bizarrely attractive as hans landa :D

  • Tarantino gets the best performance of the actors, Travolta (Pulp Fiction) , David Carradine (Kill Bill), Kurt Russell (Death Proof) , Samuel L. Jackson (Pulp Fiction and Jackie Brown)...and Christoph Waltz (Inglourious Basterds)

  • he and his words.... i am confused

  • incredible acting

  • can i please just have sex with you christoph waltz oh my godddd

  • Actually jizzed. Such a DILF.

  • I LOVE HIM. :)

  • cool, this guy asked some good questions

  • Why isnt their an swastika on his forehaed?

  • He can speak English better then I can and I'm British...

  • This guy is an amazing actor

  • The way he is expressing himself, makes it seem as if he wrote the screenplay. He is so good. He just reminds me of the first scene wherein he talks about rats. Man! this guy is just fantastic. IG was one great pscyhological thriller.

  • @ToriiHunterFan - yes, but Christoph Waltz is far better :)

  • Hans Landa definietly got the Joker-syndrome in this movie.

You know you're not supposed to like the badguy in the movie, but he's just too awesome.

  • @manilabarbie sexy as hell!!!!

  • he is very expressive and well chosen for his role.

  • he puts so much thought into each sentence. wow. you could talk to him all day and not get bored <3

  • the movie guy is a rating tool he only speaks for ratings he has NO opinion at all just questions about nothing

  • typical german accent......

  • @Alya887 well at least waltz can distinguish the difference between and adjective and adverb... "do good" HA

  • Finally we have ONE thing in Austria to be proud of: Christoph Waltz :)

  • @Verooo007 - don't you have good beer??

  • This man was incredible and so evil in the movie. He was WORTHY of that Oscar. Hopefully he's best villain in MTV. But since last year, I don't trust MTV.

  • @TheNewEmphinix Nope, he lost to Malfoy in Harry Potter; I was really pissed too

  • @Marco007Marco007

I did not see the awards, but I heard. Fucking teenage girls!

  • his performance in basterds was incredable i hope to see him in more movies soon!

  • Wow Christoph is so articulate!!!

  • this guy is a great actor and i like hearing him speak about this role....best character in the best movie I have seen in a LONG time!!.. BRAVO WALTZ!!!

  • Oscar well deserved, Christoph.

  • recently saw an interview in german tv of him, and a realized, AGAIN, how bad german interviewers ask and how stupid their questions are...

  • The American interviews aren't much better, trust me...

  • God, he is SO smart. You can tell he's on a completely different plane of thought than almost any other actor I've heard speak.

  • he is such an incredible actor. he made the movie.

  • He did an AWESOME job in the movie

  • Dam! He can speak better english than me! He has such a wide range in his vocabulary, I need to read more or something. Brilliant, ...he should get the oscar

  • @sammy1324 sure sure "didn't wrote" "you cannot possible translate". other than that you see him struggling to formulate his points all the while trying to come off like the completely cool gentleman fluent in 5 languages or w/e. he certainly fools a lot of you but I'm on to this bastard. also, his accent is annoying as FUCK. oh and yes, im very aware of the fact that im being an inconstructive hater, and I dont give a shit. please note that I do appreciate his acting ability in the film.

  • @flessenkoning is his accent really annoying?:D It's funny because i'm hungarian and my english isn't perfect and every words of his is perfectly understandable to me:D (and hungarian is not near german)

  • I was spell bound watching his performance. Yes and handsome to. If ever someone deserved it, he sure does. If he doesn't than shame on the academy. It's not a popularity contest or who scratches who's back in Hollywood, it is for the role that had you setting on the edge of your seat...and his sure did.

  • I dont know what the hell he's talking about in this interview but he did such a fantastic job in the movie. he's right up there as good as ralph fines nazi in shindlers list.

  • Damn he's smart.

  • lol redet deutsch.

  • his son is a rabbi 0_o?

  • the greatest SS-Oberst Actor ever!

  • one of the best supporting actor roles ive seen in such a long time...he is just brilliant in this movie

  • @jakep42zer0 Absolutely. Normally I couldn't care less about the Oscars but he's a shoe-in for the best supporting actor; far more so than even the late Heath Ledger.

  • 3:07 :O

  • I love this guy, very intelligent and handsome ;D And an incredible acting in this movie..perfect choice!! GO FOR THE OSCAR YOU DESERVE IT!

  • He definitly played one of the coolest roles ever :D

Even ppl I know who totally hate tarantino movies said that its one of the best characters ever.

  • wow, what a smart dude

  • The way he talks is like a philosopher... so articulate and poignant. A lot like the character he plays!

  • The first scene of this movie is one of the most unbelievable things I've seen in film, this man portrays a character unlike anything I've seen before--and definitely unlike any stereotypical figure of the Nazi--he's not only evil, but cruel in an absurd, ironic, even comical way, that scene was an extraordinary mingle of comedy and tragedy. He's impeccable throughout the whole movie.

  • @gmhmilenio: From what my grandma told me, SS people actually were that “happy evil”. Especially the Hitler youth types. She told me that they didn’t seem like humans anymore. They didn’t act or think like humans. What were horrors to normal people, were “fun” to them. His portraying reminded me a lot of what my grandma told me. Fuck that must have been scary to see such a real-life horror film monster with a happy smile.

  • @gmhmilenio Christoph gave one of the most brilliant performance in the history of cinema, no doubt. Tarantino gave him his american career and he gave Tarantino one of the best movies ever :)

  • He is awesome. Definitely needs to win an Oscar.

  • He is suprisingly animated for a German. Most Germans, besides actors, are not this animated.

  • He's Austrian though

  • *meep, meep*: Austrian, living in Berlin AND in London. ;-)

  • THAT'S A BINGO

  • i love him! he is abosolutely amazing! <3 so charming, itelligent, and handsome! =D

  • LMFAO!!! pause it at 00:40

  • He needs to win the Oscar. What an amazing actor.

  • He is amazing. He's really an intelligent person or so he seems, as an actor.

  • clever guy - and of course an amazing actor. genius.

  • he rocks!

  • he ' ll better win the oscar

  • hahaha 3:06! i love his smile! <3

  • I don't like how the movie was marketed.

  • very intelligent man.

  • oscar ffs! new star...

  • Oscar for him! xD he is awesome :)

  • First came Joker from Batman now Hans Landa. :) so many good villains

  • i swear to christ christph waltz is in angels and demons

  • Oscar please! Tarantino was thinking of casting Leonardo Dicaprio for Hans part! Thank's god he didn't hire him...

  • It`s the ACADEMY, don`t forget that point. Would the academy ever give an award to a guy, who played a nazi? Don`t think so. :(

  • He's actually considered the the most likely to score the Oscar right now by a lot of different sources. I can't believe people still think he can't get the award because he played a Nazi.

  • I don't think it matters much to the Academy that he played a nazi. The whole point of acknowledging great performances is not to decide if a character in a movie is likable or politically correct, but how well the actor portrayed that character. And in that sense Waltz performance was definitely one of the best this year. If the Academy overlooks him it would make them incompetent in my eyes.

  • @jst1998 the Academy is already incompetent. lol. They're the same asses that gave "hard out here for a pimp" the oscar over Bird York's "In The Deep" which was one of the most ridiculous things I've ever seen. But yes, Christoph deserves recognition for this performance. He won best actor at Cannes. At least they got it right. lol

  • I couldn't agree with you more. very well said.

  • don't forget... he only PLAYS a nazi!

  • So true!

  • Ummmmm. Is it wrong to think that Waltz is kinda......sexy? lol. In a charming sort of way. =) lol.

  • @PurpleOctopus15 im with you lol.

  • @FuturePilotGrrrl Yay! =)

  • @PurpleOctopus15 he's DEFINITELY sexy

  • @TheBoysAreBacknCtown Haha. Good to know I'm not alone. =)

  • when i first saw the beginning of the movie i hated mr. waltz's character.. i swear i would have thrown a shoe at the dude if i ever saw him on the street, but as the story unfold i sorta understood his complex role, he wasnt a bad guy he was just really good at doing his job (and working for the badguys). great actor NO DOUBT!

  • Quentin is just an inspiring screenplay writer and Director, I just love his work but I have to say he did a great decision in hiring Christoph 2 play Hans Landa because his acting was incredible...They should both get the golden globes and hopefully oscars, Awesome movie!!!!!!!

  • this guy should play a bond villian, or bond

  • Waltz definitely should win Best Supporting Actor

  • Best performance ive seen for along time magnificent !!!

  • I even watched the "Roy Black Story" because of him°°

  • i was BLOWN AWAY with his performance

  • a genius actor, very clever and wise too, but best of all: AUSTRIAN!

  • the new bond!

  • his handsomeness is too much for me to handle.

    i'm shallow. i know lol

  • no you're not shallow you just speak the truth! :)

  • Academy award fir this amazing Austrian actor whom I had no idea about before. He contradicts the stereotype of German speakers´ poor English. Tarantino is amazing - it needed 65 years and his genius to make a movie about the ultimate Jewish revenge on the Nazi sickos

  • Goog interview! And better actor. He's amazing!!

  • This guy is an amazing actor....where has this guy been hidding...he's incredible in IB

  • the movie was good just because of him.

    Great actor!

  • Just a exemple... Please don't be to hard on my opinion:D

For example, Roberd DeNiro, one of my favorites, plays his roles like you can't see he is acting... the true goal by a actor i guess. And Waltz does the same, but in a less serious way. Almost theater. Still he does it with so many intelligence and passion, that you can't see he's acting. Just seeing he knows everthing about his character and play it like he is the SSer himself . And still... make it look 'nice.'

    Exclusive,

    Thanks!

  • I just dont know what to say...

I like movies almost as I like girls... its a passion. The movie, inglorious bastards, speaks for its self. Made by tarantino, who always puts us to suprises. And thanks to him for that. Because he brought us ChrisWaltz

The real compliments and efforts with the film is Christoph Waltz.

Before the film, like probably everyone would have (so did I) didn't know the guy. Except for austrians probably. He is just amazing. Never experienced a actor like him. BEST EVER

  • what? lol! he's austrian... of course he "talks funny" hahaha... can you speak four languages...? LMAO! YOU talk funny! ehehe

  • no i talk normal, speaking 4 languages doesn't add to your accent

  • Well I would love to hear you talk in a foreign language! What the hell is funny about his talking?

  • he is speaking 5

  • damn peeps, my bad. lol. I'm a big Christoph Waltz fan but I don't speak anything other than Spanish and American. American is its own language in itself. lol. Be cool... its all good. I dig his acting and I wish I could understand him when he's speaking one of five languages he speaks that's all.... ;) Thanks for schooling me though ;)

  • Christoph seems to be a bit caffeinated in this interview.

  • I saw it las night, and i have to say, Quentin just wrote one of my favorite characters of all, detective hans landa, and this guy gave it life, made it real , fuckign great actor lml. btw Brad Pitt was okay, but you could tell he was acting :/ and what the fuck is it with the Myke Myers cameo ? :S

  • AwesOme mOvie !! (:

  • chuck you are an asshole and a moron fucker, learn how to make good interviews and dont otter the good actors like cris

  • You shouldn't start interviews of with sudo-sarcastic sounding comments, even if the phrase was intended as humor. I found that incredibly distasteful, especially to an actor the caliber of Christoph Waltz. If you're going to deliver a line like that meant as humor, make a better joke that can actually be laughted at, otherwise you sound like an unsavory ass.

  • Phenomenal actor

  • He should win this year's oscar for best supporting actor hands down.

  • Very good point, but it still was a wonderful performance by Waltz. We are used to great scripts and dialogues from Tarantino, while the Austrian gentleman is something new and refreshing...

  • how? the only similarity i see is that he's accent is the same...wich makes sense cause he's from Austria, what do u mean he seems the same? does he really look like a sadistic crazy killer to u in this interview?( im just asking no offense)

  • I totally agree that Tarantino should win for best screenplay but Christoph should win for best actor as well... then all bases are covered... both were outstanding pieces of performance/art!

  • @gabrielfrancois , well, you're right. When he talks, when he smiles, he is very similar to Hans Landa. BUT, his performance was just stunning. Both Tarantino and Christoph Waltz should win an Oscar.

  • I think he should get Lead Role, because he was in the movie more than Brad!

  • Waltz is amazing!

I loved the beginning, how much would could a wood chuck chuck?

  • oh god i hope they won't typecast him....

  • Look at the left eye of the fat guy...please change your blue screen!

  • second-hand embarrassment with this dumb interviewer. christoph is amazing :)

  • If Christoph does not win an oscar it will be a crime

  • NO KIDDING!

  • LOL! I'm with you Scaralli, wherever he comes from he's brilliant in this film. But that he's not only Austrian but Viennese is icing on a beautifully-baked cake. :-)

  • Yes, but we - here in the deepest Styrian Alps - claim our share of the cake! ;-)

  • LOL @ beginning :P Christoph's awesome...

  • This interviewer is an insult to Waltz's intelligence.

  • Hes fucking cool!

  • lol thats funny i'm german and i'm listening to a german in a amerivan tv-show talking english

  • Well, actually you`re listening to an Austian. But wherever he comes from, he`s done a wonderful job in IB! ;)

  • ja stimmt, tschuldigung^^

  • Einigen wir uns einfach auf "deutschsprachig", dann sind wir alle glücklich. :-)

  • It's even more weird, I am German too, and read the english comment of an other German about... yeah.. you wrote it already :P

  • His play was absolutely a masterpiece!! More Waltz!!

Uhm... I need a glass of milk:)

  • christopher waltz was PHENOMENAL in this movie!

  • Well done Christoph hope we see you in many more movies.

  • Waltz is such a good actor. Loved his performance!

  • Christoph is one handsome devil.

    He's also hella charming.

  • this is guy is very well educated. he's kinda like one of those cool geeks...what a wonderful performance..bravo!

  • I know it! He talks like this history professor I had. She spoke with such intelligence (she loved to speak German, BTW), that my brain would just shut off. I listen to Waltz and how he speaks English better than I do.......The guy is SHARP.

  • Comment removed

  • Anyone have a glass of milk?

  • this guy is amazing

  • Wow he is as charming as his character!

  • the actor who played hellstrom is August Diehl he was good!! but gotta give respect

to Christoph Waltz hands down he better win the oscar come 2010!!

  • Oscar, Oscar, Oscar *demands*

  • um wow he's sexy. I'm not joking.

  • I definitely agree with you. *drools* XD

  • I was beginning to think I was the only one who thought so.....!

  • lol everyone I talked to so far had said that to me, like it's some kind of secret. I'm open about it XD

  • Yeah, there's that initial shock of, "uh oh, I think I'm hot for a Nazi."

The guy's just so great and watching him here, he's ridiculously smart. Let's face it, there's a lot to love all around.

  • Oscar goes to.... Christoph Waltz

  • his Landa was great!

and don´t forget major Dieter Hellstrom, he was the rough SS guy!

  • yeah hellstrom was a real badass :P

never the less , waltz 4 academy award !! :)

  • i know, i´m austrian myself;) but it does sound quite different than german in a few regions:)

  • this man is just glourious ( ;D ) i mean there is really no other way to describe the extremely talented mr.waltz
