"Entitlements for the rich" Sure, let's cut those, but how big is that really? The top 1% probably gets the same entitlements as the 80th percent. Not a big deal. Republicans like to talk about it to move the emphasis away from revenue increase so it looks like they are doing. Take 30,000 away in entitlements and save millions in taxes. What a deal!
@crocofantul11 If the debt ceiling hadn't been raised than the US would have technically defaulted, which means there is no way you can have any good standing with the credit agencies. You think a top level economist would make such a basic mistake???
Krugman has dangerous ideas. To learn what "the new world order" and "globalization" and "social justice" means, study "United Nations Agenda 21." Everyone should know what this agenda means to their everyday life. It's happening NOW!
@Someideasandstuff Y, they R the ones who will get the credit for forcg America to take a hard look at our debt; they may have saved us!Krugman:Typical pencil pusher, hence,Y he made stupid comments about financial trade taxes he wants to impose on U.S.. He claims
@Someideasandstuff conservatives touts how great Singapore&HK use this tax structure, but fails to compare rest of tax structure&why these countries have an economy which is booming.Tax rates in HK,corp&individual, R substantially lower than U.S. rates&HK has no tax on capital gains.Nobel Prize winner is either lieing or is an idiot as Rogers claims
Krugman and Brooks for each party in 2012... it would be a world premier in America: two presidential candidates who actually answer issues analytically and not ideologically. And it would make debates interesting at least!
The problem is that he's accommodating the crooks on wall street and the international Banksters who are finalizing their position for the receivership takeover of America. They've already taken the rest of the world.

@crocofantul11 He is absolutely right about that. If US had not raised the dept ceiling US credit rating would not be any A.

but I enjoy the fate of the world's strongest country being left to how people feel emotionally which changes as easily as the seasons.

Sure, Obama is an accommodating President.
The problem is that he's accommodating the crooks on wall street and the international Banksters who are finalizing their position for the receivership takeover of America. They've already taken the rest of the world.

Well, you're almost there. It's the GOP who cater to the Street. The Dems kowtow to the banks. Two separate entities believe it or not.
