However, I do not like the music they make now as much because it is, in my opinion, not as good.

But I'm a fan of Pinkerton and Blue. And a few other songs. Don't fucking tell me what makes me a real fan just because you're mad at a vague population of people.

@drummerkidkill Weezer forever rules. But, I stopped enjoying their albums after Maladroit. Definitely not bandwagon-jumping, Weezer was a staple of my youth as a 90's kid, it'll never change my opinion on them, I just simply do not like their new albums. I'm just glad to have seen them live in their classic days.

@planexxjane im glad you discovered older weezer tracks through new stuff, but as anyone from the age of about 22 and over will tell you, the new stuff isnt all that great, blue album=great, green album=great, pinkerton=great and so on, most of us grew up around the time weezer came along in the early/mid 90s,

growing up with great music like this then goin to beverly hills and pork and beans... i mean..cmon

They started to make pop songs because thats what the people wanted, they said that Pinkerton was a failed album so they change their songs, thats why their next album (The Green Album) had sucess because of their pop songs like Island in the Sun and all that, im not saying that pinkerton is a shitty album, I like Pinkerton, but people is wondering why weezer change.
