  • Well...the America's have been invaded. By European people. Displacing the NATIVE americans, their culture, their way of living, everything. And this type of humans have caused many species to become extinct and it is not via zebramussels. Name one species that has become extinct because of it. Besides: look at the Mountain Pine beetle. Perfectly native. Killing massive, massivr e amounts of conifers in teh PNW and threatening to do the same via Picea glauca all over the continent...

  • @Serenoj69 I made this "public service" project a year ago for a blowoff class... Perhaps it was an exaggeration saying that clams could become extinct and (now that I'm in AP Biology) I really don't know how factually the algae statement was. However, the rest was pretty accurate. Although the "zebra mussel invasion" may be overdramatized, it is still a real thing. However, there are much worse threats in nature: us. I'm not a "green freak", but I support a sustainable environment.
