  • I work on a engine crew for the State Of Montana and I watch this video before every fire season to remember those before me who made the ultimate sacrifice.

  • As an wildland firefighter who has spent time on the ground, and now in the air, one of the most important things you can do for the families who have lost a loved one, is to let them know they are not forgotten, neither the people grieving over a loved one years later, and also that the memory of who gave their life, is not forgotten either.

  • Humbling

  • Wowwy Very strong video sad :(

  • I'm a hotshot with the usda-fs and I'll never forget our lost. ( USDA-FS, BLM, BIA, INMATES, PRIVATE SECTOR, ECT. ) All of us out there no matter who you are we are all brothers/sisters out there.

  • That storm king fire was a beast. I grew up and around prineville oregon and when the news broke that so many prineville hotshots had been taken the whole town was shocked. they built a great memorial for them many years ago and they will never be forgot!!!! God bless all theses fallen firefighters and thier family's! Mike- Patrick Corporation

  • If you are ever in the Glenwood Springs, CO area and you are a Wildland firefighter, make it a point to walk Storm King/South Mountain. You will be a changed person and a better firefighter.

  • I lost my cousin, Caleb Renno, in wildland. (last year) Hellicopter crash, Iron 44. To bad, I feel bad for everyone's family in this video, too.

  • I also fought fires from 2000-2006, I was an inmate firefighter for the state of California. Baseline Camp #36 Jamestown. Very proud of it too! I fought a few fires with Eva ( 2:29) She was an excellent firefighter, but must of all she was a nice person. She knew exactly who we were (Inmates) and she treated us like an equal. I was there that faithful day when she passed. I will never forget her !!!

  • This is what I want to do. Very depressing video, but very good. RIP brothers and sisters.

  • Worked as a wildland firefighter for 3 seasons, worked with Navajo Scouts out of Northeast Arizona, and we had a chance to visit the Wildland Firefighter Foundation Summer of 2006. It was good to visit the base of operations, and to see the comraderie that all firefighters and emts have. i now work as an emt, but i plan on putting both my passions to work and work as an emt of the firelines. Good Bless and Safety First to those going to the firelines this summer.
