  • i wonder what made all those scars are from.

  • well i know they arent blind.they may have good eyesight but, they still have a small brain.

  • think the incidence of shark/human interactions has anything to do with the correlation of habitat and how many f@cking people there are in the water around the bay area? just a thought...

  • Where's the Great White???? All I see is John Mccain eating some breakfast- WTF??

  • LOL, as Colbert would say, "John Mccain...what a Maverick"

  • Everyone knows that man...

  • Sharks don't really "seek out" for human flesh. They are half blind, so they usually think humans are seals. Especially if humans are on surf boards. (gonna be a marine biologist when I grow up) :)

  • very true because not only are they blind their brain is smaller and thus cannot commprehend the fact that its shape is diffenrent and swims a very different way (im going to be a marine biologist too (yay!))

  • (Sorry, my sister posted that comment. She was on my username. :/ Though it could have been from me... I'm going to be a zookeeper. XD)

Sharks don't really like the "taste" of human anyway. It's been reported that sharks have bit people, spit whatever they bit back out, and then swam away. Biting is simply another sense for them. They don't have hands, so they use their mouth.

It would still hurt though. >_>

  • yes. yes it would.

  • i love you sharks

  • Were has my insiteful post gone anyways? Cant see it

  • impressive camera work, too close for my comfort

  • i dont get who jumps in bloody water with a camera and a hungery shark considering they get excited when they smell blood

  • i'm impressed by the camera work. I'm not afraid of sharks as a rule but they have to be brave to do that.

  • man it takes an hour for this vid to load

  • no it doesnt...

  • This was taken at the Farallone Islands by San Fransisco... there's a book about the islands called "The Devil's Teeth". The sharks over there are huge! (including the sisters)

  • HOW THE FUCK DO THEY KNOW that its movement means "dont get to close"....

  • "I THINK WE NEED A BIGGER BOAT." Interesting but I'm still moving to Kansas because of sharks. Anybody else hear of the shark that became adapted to fresh water and swam up the Mississipi to St. Louis before it was caught. Damn you, Discovery Channel!

  • No sharks "became adapted to fresh water" Bull sharks live in both Salt and Fresh all the time. Durring a flood in the Amazon river basin, young monkeys were being eaten by huge bull sharks left and right. Not to mention the perhanas and man eating eels. Pretty pleasant huh?

  • oh peachy! Its going to take me 6 months to get those images out of my head. I stopped putting water in my Scotch after seeing "Jaws".

Maybe it was a bull shark on Shark Week. Got to admit though, it is interesting... from a big distance!

    Thanks!!

  • I know! I don't get why I can go into the woods at night and not be scared of bears and couger which are there and I see them, but in the water I am freeked out of my mind! Just waiting for some huge monster to rip me apart suddenly! Dark shadows of the deep watching, waiting, always there to eat you! Freeking me out!

  • Bull shars are able to live in both fresh water ans salt water due to a special gland that they have in thier body. They have often been found in freshwater, even in lakes that link to the sea. It is not by accident they give birth in fresh/brackish water so that thier young have a greater chance of survivng away from the larger marine predators

  • Ahhh. I see. That is an advantage. Nothing in fresh water could even come close to a 4 ft shark even if it was not yet full size. Scary for float tube fishing!

  • Lol...didn't mean to sund preachy but I' doing Marine Biology and in my opiion sharks are the most misunderstood animals on the planet. You've more chance of winning the lottery than being attacked by one. However I know that one is way better than the other.

  • No, thats cool I like insiteful comments. Thats cool you are doing marine biology. Is that waht you will pursue as a career? You could be the next shark man! Not for me!

  • @FSTOPDR I'm not sure if anyone has responded to this already seeing as your comment was around 2 years ago but bull sharks are able to swim and live in both fresh and salt water, so it's likely that was the type of shark you heard about. :D

  • @jakeyjakefaceman

That sucking sound you hear is me puckering up and kissing "goodbye" the thought of taking baths anymore, "Jaws" got me out of the tub and Norman Bates got me out of the shower.

Oh, if you look at my "British Bash 2010" videos, you will see a "Jaws" running gag, also in the get well card I made for Wavelength Rose.

    Be well and thanks!!

  • @FSTOPDR It was probably a bull shark. They can adapt to fresh water.

  • ahh my leg !
