  • I don't even think the showrunner and writers even know who killed Rosie..

  • ATTENTION THERE ARE ASSHOLES HERE WHO HAVE WRITTEN THE SPOILER OF WHO THE KILLER IS IN THE DANISH VERSION. LET IT BE KNOWN THAT IT WILL NOT BE THE SAME PERSON IT THE AMERICAN VERSION, THE CREATOR SAID SO WAY BACK WHEN THE FIRST SEASON CAME OUT. SO IF YOU WANT TO WATCH THE DANISH VERSION BE WARNED OF IMPENDING ASSHOLES BELOW

  • @TheDoctorwho747 VAGN, THE FAMILY FRIEND IS THE KILLER IN THE DANISH VERSION! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

  • Comment removed

  • WTF is wrong with you people who seem to have never heard of cliffhangers before? You also seem to have never heard of red herrings, innocent characters that appear to be guilty. It's something that's IN EVERY cop/mystery tv shows, books, and movies. And that is how real fucking police investigations are, they can go through many suspects before finally finding the guilty one. Season 2 starts next month and halfway through Rosie's murder will conclude so you can all unbunch your fucking panties

  • @TheDoctorwho747 They should've concluded Rosie's murder in the season 1 finale. But they didn't. That is why this show SUCKS BALLS and no one should ever watch it again. You don't cliffhang the audience in the season finale. Season finale's are supposed to offer resolution. They fucked up.

  • @TheBrindleBoxer cont.. end up hurting yourself five minutes into watching it when you're tiny little brain goes into overload because you would probably try to sue AMC afterwards, yeah you're just that truly stupid. But here is the bottom line asshole YOU WILL WATCH IT, yes that's right YOU AND ALL the other people who have bitched and threatened not watch will do just the opposite. Why? just so you can bitch about it online afterwards. Please prove me wrong and stick to reality shows moron!

  • @TheBrindleBoxer Oh tv shows don't use cliffhangers? really? So all the shows that I have watched that do use them never happened? Did I imagine all of that? Thank you for your posts really, you think you're being clever by writing the spoiler again but really all you've done is prove my point and showed how truly fucking pathetic you really are. If you really think that the show is bad because of a cliffhanger and nothing else than So please do us all a favor and don't watch S2, you would just

  • @TheDoctorwho747 I won't be watching. I already know who the killer is and, I don't care what you say, they should've resolved Rosie's murder in the season 1 finale. They fucked up by not doing that. Concentrating on the same murder for more than 1 full season is just ridiculous. You have to reward your audience for sticking with the show for 13 fucking long-ass episodes. Cliffhanging them, yet again, in the season finale is like one giant FUCK YOU.

  • I didn't even finish this trailer.... even from a snippet I can tell that this is nowhere near being a match to the brilliant original. What is it with the Americans that makes them think they can do everything better? The Danish original is a tv masterpiece, the storytelling, the pace, the atmosphere and the acting is incomparable to anything I've ever seen. Go get it.

  • Chuck Norris knows who killed Rosie.

  • belko isnt the killer u retards..do u think the writers for the american version..would copy it knowing you outta towner euro idiots would just drop spoilers? getta fucking clue...

  • @SFflippinGiant Thank you at least someone else said that, the creator of the US version specifically said they were changing the killer. There are fucking assholes all over here writing spoilers and shit like "Well now you don't have to watch season 2, i did you a favor" And the worst part is they really mean it, and they don't even get that they just spoiled the ending of the Danish version for anyone who would want to watch it!

  • This show sucks. Just one cliffhanger after another. Nothing ever comes to a conclusion. They pretend they're about to find the killer, then NOPE, it isn't that guy after all. Even the season finale was a fucking cliffhanger. LAME!

  • Looks like a Twin Peaks ripoff to me.

  • It's weak that the Americans have to ruin good TV-shows made by other countries. Shame on you!

  • You Mess with Admiral Cain's Daughter, You mess with the Battlestar Pegasus 0_o

  • Oh wow. Just wow. They have ruined it. It's like they've tried to make a Faberge egg out of plasticine.

  • Good show, but SouthLAnd is still the best of all cop shows currently on tv....

  • What the f.uck am I looking at? Damn the acting is bad and over dramatic. Go watch the original with English subtitles instead.

  • Don't watch this version. Watch the original Danish one.

That's an order! ............or read a book!

  • BTW the parents friend did it ;O)

  • @Hetlund72 Fucking loser

  • @Hetlund72 Yep, BELKO ROYCE IS THE KILLER! everyone who's seen Forbrydelden know this. No need to watch season 2, folks. The family friend, Belko Royce, killed Rosie.

  • Im disappointed AMC

  • "AMC ORIGINAL SERIES" my arse. Inferior and redundant rip off quite frankly.

  • They could have at the very least had the characters speaking Danish in the American version. This was one of the most striking things about "The Killing".

  • At the beggining.. soundtrack from Land of the Dead (The Game PC version)

  • is it just because americans don't want to read the subtitles?

  • the original was an almost perfect masterpiece of a cranial thriller ; watch it if you possibly can and ignore the inferior copy.

  • oh for crying out loud, why did you have to do this, whyyyyyyy? would it kill the american people to learn something about other cultures once in a while? are you afraid of subtitles or what? can't you read? i'm very disappointed.

  • @jtfan00

I think it's the distributor's and big american movie companies fault and responsibility. They want to sell their own productions and very few movies not made in America comes there. So if one is a fan of a series or movie just have to make a remake to share with others.

  • @jtfan00 Amen.

  • @jtfan00 Popular shows get remade for other countries all the time. Every country has it's own version of "the office", for example. It's not just about subtitles. It's about culture reference points. America isn't the only country that remakes shows.

  • @TheBrindleBoxer i know, but the office is a comedy and as such it does heavily rely on culture reference points. it's humor we're talking about. the killing isn't it. it's about family, human nature, politics and power that goes with it. those things aren't that culturally specific that americans couldn't understand or follow it properly. it's a shame they missed out on great writing and performances.

  • I liked it, for those of us who don't get to see or even hear about the original shows, it opens it up to a wider audience. Now I would like to see the original. Ok I know there are some craptastic American remakes out there, but there are some great ones too...The Departed immediately comes to mind. I'd never heard of Joel Kinnaman before either & I thought he was amazing, another great Swedish export. And you know, if they didn't want an american version, they wouldn't have sold it.

  • Typical hollywood crap as of late. Draw out what should be a miniseries, into something drawnout and captivatingly lost. After about 5 or 6 episodes you realize that the show becomes a glorified soap opera instead of a good crime drama. Too much emphasis on the family's coping of their loss(half the last episode i watched, yawning), and less on the final result. Fail again, Hollywood!

  • America has made brilliant crime dramas i don't think they should have done this though, the American Sarah Lund tries way to hard.

    Denmark ftw

  • america makes good crime dramas why the hell did they have to make a terrible remake of the Danish version.

  • Indeed, Forbrydelsen is far above AMC's remake, but the latter is also a very enjoyable series, that in no way will change what you think about the original. I enjoy both.

  • Completely rubbish. Why watch this American remake when the Danish one is so much better? That's not to say I dislike American television, but this one specifically is awful.

  • This show is from a danish comcept, and has allready been sent in Denmark, we in Denmark are waiting now for the third and last season, which should air in Denmark in october 2012..

  • I can't wait until Season 2

  • @xeodisfilms Belko is the killer. Now you don't have to worry about season 2.

  • @TheBrindleBoxer Wrong jackass, they specifically said at the start that it would be a different killer so nobody would have to worry about fucking assholes who like to write spoilers. Tell me something moron, did it ever occur to you that some people might want to watch the Danish version but now you went ahead and fucking ruined it for them? I guess not

  • The Danish production was perfect, superb acting and beautifully produced. I'm perplexed that the TV stations in America don't think the American viewing public would tune into a European production. Bravo the Danes! I encourage Americans who love great T.V to watch the original version.

  • Uhm.. they wouldn't buy most UK shows for the same reason they won't get the Danish ones. The narrative experience isn't the same. Most US shows wrap up each episode in 43 mn in europe the average is 78 and then they are not shot at 24fps.There is also a strict colour grading nomenclature in the US which means each TV station has its favoured "look". I can tell an AMC show without seeing the logo same for CBS.There are 1000 reasons why they won't touch european shows with a tent pole.

  • Twin Peaks, Twin Peaks, Twin Peaks

  • this show is awesome (:

  • booooorring

  • another tedious crime procedural. yawn.

  • lol what a piece of shit

  • best thing in this movie "Liam James"

  • and who killed her at the end?????????

  • A have just watched the original (danish) version...didnt know there was 20 episodes..you would never know...so good, very watchable.., from the start to end...fantastic....

  • @buckstoneboy

SO true but what can we do .... im watching it and im burning from inside when i saw that thing about muslims ...

  • @1xxboboxx1 what about the muslims?i am asking cuz i ve never watchd it before

  • im sorry I really like this show but the whole Muslim angle had nothing to do with the main story line. It was just forced on people by the writers to perpetuate the whole Islamaphobic thing. Like the scene in episode 9 withe the mosque being vandalized. That looks so fake with the excess swastikas and the kill muslims graffitti. I mean come on. Fucking liberal ass Hollywood always trying to brainwash its audience. If people dont point out things like this they'll keep doing it.

  • @jam714 All you pointed out is that you're a racist who doesn't get the deep message of the show and the symbolism.

  • @jam714 Your are right, There is no islamophobia in the US. Actually the Muslims are trying to kill Americans so and they are trying to build mosques where they Twin Towers stood, So muslims must be kicked out of the US!

F**K Liberals for trying to brainwash the rest of us!

  • is this serie from denmark from the bengning becuse joel kinnerman is from sweden.

  • it makes me think about twin picks

  • @MisterRSA I was thinking the same!

  • I have to say Forbrydelsen is superior to the AMC remake. Having watched both I cant figure out why Americans have to continually remake superb series. Is it down to not having to read subtitles? Can't praise the Danish show enough as it's beautifully paced, acted, written and performed especially the superb Sofie Gråbøl.

  • @kennstewart actually i like the amc version more maybe bcoz i saw it first..the danish versions too slow for me..i shouldve watch the danish version first..

  • me too lmao! Frankly it is beautifully shot and the story is told beautifully. I just don't like most european shows, unless maybe they are french and even then maybe one or two at most. There is a reason 90% of european shows would NEVER sell in america.Ratings and advertisings are a battle field in america. They make sure the "look" and texture of the show matches every carefully picked sponsor.

  • @cannoir i guess so..but there is one other show i like its a uk series have you heard of skins? its pretty good too..actually im obsessed with it at the moment but its more of a teenage kind of show im not gonna recommend it if youre more into serious type of series like this one..but skins is a hit in the uk and mtv adapted their first season but they have to cancel it bcoz most of the parents are against it..

  • @kennstewart Quite. We've just started on The Killing 2 here in the UK and it still kicks nine bells of crap out of the slightly soggy US remake of the original Danish series. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

  • @kennstewart how can you have watched both when the pilot is do feb 2012???????

  • @Hetlund72

Do not understand your comment. Both the original Danish and American shows were broadcast here in the UK months ago so your comment is redundant

  • @kennstewart just think about it... its difficult to watch a movie and read at the same time. Something will be missed. I think americans just don't want to miss out on anything. Try to keep an open mind and stay positive!

  • what a great series! arghh i hate to wait for the second season....

  • yeah right original series

  • Looks like they refilmed it scene by scene! And sucked out some of the charisma.

  • The first 4 episodes of this were great then it just lost the plot literally . Never known something on TV start so good and end up so bad. The FBI scene looking for terrorists sent it into lala land DISAPPOINTING.

  • @forest3693 hopefully you were wrong bout the latter episodes..coz the first two episodes were great..i cried a lot..its kinda different to other crime series coz it shows the families of the victims struggles too..

  • @msjeopardy24 We re near the series 1 end here in Britain . I was disappointed at the time though it has picked up again and am back into it. First few episodes are really good as you say.

  • @forest3693 im watching the 5th episode now..

  • I had a dream last night that this show was burning.... On the Surface of the Sun...

  • twin peaks?

  • @mrmikebone100 meets 24

  • wow who uses a care package seriously?

  • Comment removed

  • Do yourselves a favour and watch the original.

  • This movie had a strict budget , it was filmed in my school, and my school is complete shit

  • love the atmosphere in this series the rain, clound, really awesome

anyone know any other series like this??!?

  • @watwillwedonext twin peaks.

  • @watwillwedonext Twin Peaks has a similar plot but honestly this show is less bizarre than Twin Peaks.

  • i just watched the final episodes of the American remake, all I can say is 'what the heck happened?'

it turned from a reasonable ish re-telling of the original Danish show into a pretty dire hack written load of nonsense!

the last episode especially was diabolical, who the heck came up with that crap?, seriously cringeworthy nonsense

  • THE ORIGINAL IS THE BEST!

  • LOL that kid was playing modern warfare 2 on favela. ANYWAYS... is this show any good? thinking about watching it

  • o my gosh what song is that that plays towards the end, i love it so much!

  • @smellycat6464 adagio in d minor by john murphy. It's the soundtrack of Sunshine.

  • @wedisegen gotcha thanks so much for the info. it seems a little different in the video, but i like it all the same :)

  • @wedisegen I love the final sequence with this new version of "Adagio in D Minor"... But where can i find (and download) this music version?? Who did create it????

  • This is an ersatz version of the Danish series. While that's noir, this is anything but noir. Probably the first AMC dud and hopefully the last one. Amen.

  • Having seen the original Danish version, which was really fantastic, and the original Swedish Stieg Larsson, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo trilogy, I'm beginning to wonder if the Americans are running out of ideas, and to be honest, nothing they do will compare to the original series.

  • We all know that Holder killed Rosie or had to do with the murder of her. On the Season 2 Commercial on AMC it says "The killer of Rosie Larsen may be closer than you think" Then shows a picture of Holder

  • @11poketrainer

Remove your comment you piece of shit, stop ruining it for others you piss of piss.

  • @QaranTV Ok, FIRST OFF They have not even told us who killed her!!!!!!! I have absolutely NO CLUE who did it. Besides, IT'S BEEN 5 MONTHS, I THOUGHT YOU HAVE PROBABLY SEEN IT ALREADY.

  • will it be aired on a UK channel?

  • @jenniferfoxy It already is! Thursday 9PM. Channel 4...you missed the first episode!

  • @GoaFreak2010 thanx for ur reply..i just watched it on 4oD and it was really nice..cant wait for tonight to c the rest......

  • A dismal failure of an original fantastic Danish series! why do the Americans take a great thing and turn it into ditchwater? dont they learn anything? maybe because its too involved for their audience concentration level but whenever you view an 'Americanisation' of a programme its just a pale shadow of the original?

look what happened to 'till death do us part' and 'the office' .

Europe is producing some great drama TV at present, a new series of 'Wallander' on BBC4..Thanks BEEB!

  • @saabturbo16 are you kidding me? The Office (USA) is an amazing show!

  • just watched all the episodes online after seeing the pilot on tv, its brilliant! i hadn't heard of the original series so ill probably check that out, if you haven't see this yet dont listen to the people who say 'dont watch this crappy american remake' its the best american series since the wire.

  • not a spot on the danish

  • Apparently the US version is faster-paced than the original Danish version. It's a pity that the US did not just broadcast the original but I suspect that many Americans would not appreciate the length, slowness and sheer Danish-ness of that version.

  • Won't Be anywhere near as fantastic as the Danish one- hopefully it'll still be good

  • when does the new season start anyone know?

  • What's the music in this please? I really need the artist for the cover of "Ain't No Sunshine" ><

  • I really want to know who sings that cover of 'Aint No Sunshine' does anyone know?

  • Amazing how this boring danish-series did get so much success!

  • I LOVE JOEL KINNAMAN <3 <3<3<3

  • Forget this and watch the original. I watched in on BBC Four (UK)

  • imagine how many people will die from now till next year waiting for this..

  • I want 13 hours of my life back.... it can't be a good thing that I was envious of Rosie's fate every time I tuned into this insufferable piece of shit, can it?

  • This looks really good. I am from the UK and this has been advertised over here for the past week. Cannot wait until it starts.

  • the twist at the end of episode was stupid , didnt make sense , i dont think they made it in the original , i think they did it to be different from the original

  • @iamkashaloveslave hell yah that shit was stupid and i saw it coming from a mile a way, nothing ever fucking happends in this show, i wanted to like it but who are we kidding it sucks

  • Were they just tryng to find a Kevin federline look alike when they hired that tall skinny dude. His cadence is very phony. As a black man I find it incredibly offensive that a 30 year old caucasian man talks that way.Does he hate his parents.Try a non regional diction if want to change the way you talk. That idiot is the whole reason I don't watch the show. Why didn't they just hire M&M.It's not 1975 anymore people.Black people work on wall street.Join the future folks.

  • @jolem5000 Ummm... whatever man. I didn't know black people had a copyright on specific kinds of speech intonation and word stressing. Maybe you should visit your local high school. You'll see 50 dumbass whiteboys walking around talking like Holder. Why aren't you bitching about Bennet Ahmed and his "white" accent?

Anyway... The season finale SUCKED and just cliffhanged everything. Absolutely zero resolution.

  • 'Yoo Linden' ;) Holder <3

  • looks like full crap

  • i dont wanna sound like a hipster but why did they make an american version? why do americans redo many forreign tv shows and convert them into their own culture and style instead of watching the original series whats wrong with seeing something from another country. i live in Denmark and we watch so much american tv and take in so much american and forreign culture whats the problem with usa trying the same, i just find that annoying

  • @TheInFormer500 No one gets mad when they remake Agitha Christie.

  • @jolem5000 first of all havent seen an agatha christie remake (didnt know there where some) second i stated that i found it annoying to change the setting from the original countries culture and change it into american, my problem is that they dont want any other setting than that of their own culture i said nothing of other series or genres

  • @TheInFormer500 I honestly think its because when someone sees a foreign tv show doing well, they want to bank in on that cash and making an American version is the best way to do it.

  • @Meagan51422 youre probably right i just hate it :P

  • 2 questions:

1- So the whole show is about finding the missing girl or is it just one episode?

2- Why are people talking about a danish version? Is this a danish show with american voices over it or something?

  • @blowy05 the whole season is about finding who killed her,and it was originally a danish series, but redone for usa

  • @bujilou okay :) thanks

  • This reminds me of Twin Peaks!

  • @kikichapstickifilms this is nothing like twin peaks. more like david fincher.

  • @mwells219 The trailer makes it look like Twin Peaks. There's a dead girl and they're looking for the killer.

  • @kikichapstickifilms It is Twin Peaks. They really phoned this one in

  • @kikichapstickifilms yeah but twin peaks was far more surrealistic and experimental. it's like david fincher's seven in that it is very grim and realistic. and it rains alot.

  • What is the name of that last song? I've been looking forever for it!

  • As much as I love Sunshine, hearing the soundtrack for it...everywhere just cheapens the movie for me.

  • @odddity what soundtrack?

  • Why is it Americans think they can do things better - the original was brilliant - why mess with it

  • Why is it Americans think they can do things better - the original was brilliant - why mess with it

  • looks shit

  • i always have a feeling that Terry is the killer or at least involved in the murder..this weird thought came up to my mind since the very beginng of the show, other suspects like the teacher or Belko never wavered my feeling.Terry seemed to be too calm about the whole thing, no anger, no grieving.she even had a mood to flirt with Jasper's dad.(i think it's a clue) just watch ep10,my guess:Rosie and Terry could be both prostitutes, serving some rich and powerful clients.

  • This show SUCKS! It seemed to have a lot of promise, but it went right downhill after the pilot episode. Every week the audience is led to believe its a new killer, only to be disproved by some insane coincidence. Rosie and that Muslim girl just happened to both go missing and both own the same shirt. Belko isn't the killer, he is just really crazy. These red herrings are killing me. And that subplot about Darren Richmond? Some of the most boring TV I have ever watched.

  • @CptPigOut I completely agree! The only people who think this is "brilliant television" are CSI heads who've never seen Twin Peaks or LOST. LOL

  • @CptPigOut the same as ''The Cape'' or whatever it was called. I tought ''oh, nice, something new, gotta watch this''. Yeah, watched first 2 episodes and understood it was crap. BTW is there music from 28 days/weeks later in this trailer?

  • @CptPigOut Everything makes sense in the end (in the danish version)

  • @thor0207 Im Danish but have never seen the Danish Version.

  • @TheVampireRia Serien hedder Den som dræber :D

  • @sniperfreak200 Er det ikke forbrydelsen? o.o'

  • Enjoy the ladies of the Good Wife, but I find Mireile Enos' performance in a class all it's own!

  • lol this is a shit

  • I know who the killer is! If it's like the original!;)

  • @EmmaWatson00 The creator said ithey changed the killer from the original. So, no it's not Belko.

  • @battleboy777 Yeah... My mom told me last night that it was another killer... what a stupid show! It was torture to watch the original and guesing on who the killer was! And ofcourse... I was wrong about the murder in the original one... too!;)

  • The original (danish) one was better. This is kinda.. all right.

  • This is bullshit . Don't waste your time .Watch the original instead.

  • The original Danish version is fist class.

    The American is BULLSHIT!!!!!!!!

  • @Fleshtemple Um.. they stayed true to the original, except not a single genuwine Somalian appears in the movie. That's funny to say the least. I think the settings are fitting.and the link between tears and rain is a great idea. The show is beautifully written.I can only watch the US version, I understand some danish because it is close to german but that not enough to keep me glued to the telly.

  • I completely agree with The Tube Mouse. The Danish version – Forbrydelsen – was the best thing I've seen on TV, ever. Can't wait for the next series.

  • I saw the Danish original and it was superb! The actors playing Pernille and Theis so powerfully communicated emotion without using any dialogue at all; just through facial expression. I loved the style of this series and found myself not really caring so much about who the guilty person was, so much as the characterisation. It was so refreshing to see something different to the usual approach we get on UK telly. The French series, 'Spiral' was also very good. I hope we get more of this.

  • @TheTubeMouse Totally agree with you there! The typical thing is to take silence in the original and fill it with meaningless chatter or people will think they've gone deaf. France's Bob Le Flambeur was a good example (tons of silence), then you had The Good Thief (wall of noise). The other disease, Chris Rock spoke of when he said about taking out the twists in plots was called Americanising them.

  • I love this show! Haven't missed any episodes yet!!!

  • Just give Mireille Enos the Emmy now! Amazing performance in an incomparable series. The unusual music, rainy Seattle, great acting and a wonderful plot...this show has it all.

  • @rkm0003 not quite she will have a hard time getting it with the ladies from the good wife. Their performances are totally emmy worthy. Enos is a great actress she is a dead ringer for Kelly Mc Donald from the boardwalk empire. The emmy are going to be a blood battle next year.

  • My guess is the killer is Stan's partner in the moving business. Look, he was over-eager to get Stan the information the cops had. Look, he had no connection at the school. He probably was lusting for Rosie all along and then he made a a pass and she rejected him and for that he went into a rage and killed her.
