@MOP359 Her version's sweet, but it would be entirely out of place here, so no, she didn't do it better. Miller's the original King of the Road, inspiration to and friend of (prior to a very early passing) Johnny Cash, Kenny Rogers, Minnie Pearl, Chet Atkins, & Bill Anderson among many, many others; he composed (lyrics&music)what hit the top of the charts for dozens beyond his own performances that won Grammys&Tonys (has Megan scored&performed in a Broadway musical?) & has him in halls of fame.
What happened to the Classic Disney films like this? I mean, Princess and the Frog is alright but Tangled really got on my nerves! Bring back the Classic Disney!!!
@cookiesgood1 Alan-a-Dale (the folk-singer) is a Rooster. ;) His voice actor is Roger Miller who was famous for writing and singing "King of the Road".
shame that disney only brings out crap these days .... missing good old movies like "robin hood" or " the sword in the stone" .... all that trash comming out now can`t compete with the old ones!
I was singin this yesterday to myself in the car and I didn't realize it, and when I did, I couldn't remember where it was from! Lol... it was nice when I realized that even though I'm 22, I can still remember this stuff.
@Orb105 Same thing with me tonight, was just sittin and reading and then started singing this song, then I remembered where it was from, I jumped here to see it, and i'm 21 turning 22 in a few months, and it IS nice to be still able to remember this stuff
I saw this in the theater when it first came out. It was my favorite record as a kid. Later on I became a Roger Miller fan. Never realized he was the rooster until now. Bigger fan than ever now. Dang Me!
