I'm sorry but this is fucking horrible...so embarrassing.... Kyo can't sing for shit, he's cutting himself like some emo retard, guitars are always shit and this performance just sucks. it really sucks. Usually all of their Wacken performances suck but this song is just.... wow. Shit! Are you guys pretending to not hear this or what?
Wrong. The vocal range Kyo has, is unique. Hardly anyone has that kind of vocal range. He can sing, grunt, scream, go high, low, normal etc. Granted, this live performance isn't perfect, but it doesn't have to be. Performances aren't supposed to have perfect sound. You have CD's for that. It's about the performance in general, how they translate the song on stage, how they make a show out of it and that's exactly what they do.

Though Diru isn't really visual anymore, they still perform their old stuff, but they perform more as a metal band than a visual-kei band.

Und mit diesem Zeug haben Dir en grey nun wirklich nichts gemein. Wenn es dir nicht gefällt, ist es mir egal, aber bitte hör auf, sie als etwas zu bezeichnen, was sie nicht sind.

He's crazy, like... He has some serious problems. I love the emotion he put into that show I just wouldn't want to watch a vocalist I look up to cut himself on stage and publicly hurt himself. Kind of gives off the wrong message to younger kids looking up to him.

So many people are ignorant to this why be so easy to judge somebody on self inflicting pain? not going pretend i know the guy but sounds like hes been through alot and music is the only thing the he loves and this is the way he show it if you go to any tour now he doesnt do it. just a phase that he needed to go through.

@slipknotmuke Not true, Kyo has one of the absolute best live voices. You have to keep in mind that he's performing the last leg of an hour long set and that he just ripped his mouth open not three songs ago, he is perfectly exhausted and pretty severely wounded at this point of the concert.
These kids are so lucky.. I would have killed to be there. I want to say it's not fair, but it is. They need to be spread widely. If there a disease, I caught it so long ago ;D
Amazing show. Although, something has changed with him over the long years that they have played. They don't really smile or act the same live. My wife and i went to a meet and greet with Diru, they pretty much just stood there. I know from all the meet and greet videos and other concerts they didn't used to be like that. But nonetheless, there music still amazes me. This is still there best album to me though.

No, there isn't. 2003-2008 he was self mutilating. Not only is it impossible to 'fake' what he's doing, but you can actually watch his blood clot and fade in the mixture of sweat and saliva all over him if you bothered to watch a performance in full in which he does it. It's in the past anyway, he got past it and is a far more powerful and masterful performer and vocalist nowadays.

The real reason Kyo cuts and beats the shit out of himself live is because he tries to make up for his lack of vocal talent. Flame the fuck out of me if you want, but you know it's the truth. And don't give me shit about " HE DOESN'T SIGN AS GOOD BECUASE HE'S BEEN SCREAMING ALL DAY LONG AND FOR YEARS YOU DIPSHIT". Well, then in response, i'd say he has no talent at screaming at all, and his technique sucks and he ended up fucking his voice. Chad from Mudvayne can still out-growl him.
He said it himself in a interview, "When my voice can't take it anymore, I have to use other methods" or something like that, which is why he jumps all around and cuts himself and shit.
But then again, this was ages ago, his voice is good now, which probably is why he doesn't act like this on stage
@Kaptenhuahua I love Dir en Grey and i agree that kyo fucked up his voice, but no, he didn't cut himself because he wanted to compensate vocal problems, because at that time he didnt have ones. His voice was perfect in the pre marrow of a bone era. Name one live performance before marrow of a bone in wich he couldn't handle a song.

Bullet for my Valentine war früher eine Emo-Band, Bring me the Horizon ist eine Emo-Band, genau diese anderen total individuellen Bands. Und mit diesem Zeug haben Dir en grey nun wirklich nichts gemein. Wenn es dir nicht gefällt, ist es mir egal, aber bitte hör auf, sie als etwas zu bezeichnen, was sie nicht sind.

@lisachanify deine aussage, dass er der einzige sei, der growling, screaming und clear singing kann und dass die meisten anderen bands 2 oder 3 sänger dafür haben, ist mehr als falsch ;)
kenn die band nicht wirklich gut, hab mich noch net so viel damit beschäftigt, aber dieser auftritt hätte aufm W:O:A meiner meinung nach nichts zu suchen gehabt... werd sie mir dieses jahr mal ansehen, hoffe die haben sich wirklich geändert, so wie du sagst ;)

Klar, es gibt noch viele andere Sänger, die Growling, Screaming und clear können, aber Kyo kann es meiner Meinung nach mit am besten^^
Und ich find auch, dass Dir en grey damals nicht zu Wacken passten... wahrscheinlich sind viele Hater der Meinung, sie passen immer noch nicht dort hin, aber Musik hat sich halt seit damals geändert, doch wie das neue Album aussehen wird, weiss ich ja noch nicht^^

He's crazy, like... He has some serious problems. I love the emotion he put into that show I just wouldn't want to watch a vocalist I look up to cut himself on stage and publicly hurt himself. Kind of gives off the wrong message to younger kids looking up to him.

@slipknotmuke Not true, Kyo has one of the absolute best live voices. You have to keep in mind that he's performing the last leg of an hour long set and that he just ripped his mouth open not three songs ago, he is perfectly exhausted and pretty severely wounded at this point of the concert.

Amazing show. Although, something has changed with him over the long years that they have played. They don't really smile or act the same live. My wife and i went to a meet and greet with Diru, they pretty much just stood there. I know from all the meet and greet videos and other concerts they didn't used to be like that. But nonetheless, there music still amazes me. This is still there best album to me though.

No, there isn't. 2003-2008 he was self mutilating. Not only is it impossible to 'fake' what he's doing, but you can actually watch his blood clot and fade in the mixture of sweat and saliva all over him if you bothered to watch a performance in full in which he does it. It's in the past anyway, he got past it and is a far more powerful and masterful performer and vocalist nowadays.

The real reason Kyo cuts and beats the shit out of himself live is because he tries to make up for his lack of vocal talent. Flame the fuck out of me if you want, but you know it's the truth. And don't give me shit about " HE DOESN'T SIGN AS GOOD BECUASE HE'S BEEN SCREAMING ALL DAY LONG AND FOR YEARS YOU DIPSHIT". Well, then in response, i'd say he has no talent at screaming at all, and his technique sucks and he ended up fucking his voice. Chad from Mudvayne can still out-growl him.

He said it himself in a interview, "When my voice can't take it anymore, I have to use other methods" or something like that, which is why he jumps all around and cuts himself and shit.
But then again, this was ages ago, his voice is good now, which probably is why he doesn't act like this on stage

@Kaptenhuahua I love Dir en Grey and i agree that kyo fucked up his voice, but no, he didn't cut himself because he wanted to compensate vocal problems, because at that time he didnt have ones. His voice was perfect in the pre marrow of a bone era. Name one live performance before marrow of a bone in wich he couldn't handle a song.
