I saw Tony Orlando and Dawn in March 1976 at the Carolina Coliseum in Columbia, SC. The show was delayed due to an ankle injury to Joyce. Her ankle was taped up and she was toted out and placed on a stool where she remained for the entire concert. Despite this, it was still a good show.
@CousinSusie Thanks for the reply. This was my first ever concert, BTW. Our neighbors had some extra tickets and invited my mother and me to go. It was very generous on their part. I had lost my father just over a year earlier and I'm sure that played a part in it. They paid for our supper and all. Like I said, it was a kind gesture.

I love this song! I am such a BIG fan of Joyce Vincent-Wilson. Joyce is such a beautiful and a wonderful singer and she is a true person. I meet Joyce awhile back in LA she was doing a play with her wonderful sister Pam I wanted to get there autograph but everyone was asking 4 there autograph and Joyce saw me and said did you want me to autograph your CD? I bought the original 45. It's a shame a song like Pick It Up wasn't as the B Side. It was one of the best songs they ever did. But nobody ever flips over records and plays the other side. If you haven't heard Pick It Up, you should listen to it.

This is the first time I heard Tony Orlando record this song - I've always been a great fan of Tony Orlando and Dawn ever since early in '71 over here in the UK with his first hit here Candida. My favourites in those days were Knock Three Times, What Are You Doing Sunday, I Play and Sing, and I still love them. I've just discovered Summer Sands today - that's also a great song and should have been released over here.

Hi Cousin Susie...The next time you speak with Cousin Tony, ask him if he ever recorded a version of "Always Something There Ro Remind Me." I saw him perform it on the "Tonight Show" a la 1979 but I don't know if he ever put it on vinyl. He did a great job on the song I might add.
Thanks so much for posting! Tony made a seldom-seen movie several years ago called (I believe? Anyone please correct me if I'm wrong) "300 Miles for Stephanie", based on the true story of a AZ? TX? police officer who ran 300 miles on behalf of his disabled daughter. TO did an awesome acting job. It was a real tear jerker, but a totally inspiring movie.
I can't find it on YouTube or anywhere else, but would love to see it again! It was one of my favorite made for TV movies.

I love this song! I am such a BIG fan of Joyce Vincent-Wilson. Joyce is such a beautiful and a wonderful singer and she is a true person. I meet Joyce awhile back in LA she was doing a play with her wonderful sister Pam I wanted to get there autograph but everyone was asking 4 there autograph and Joyce saw me and said did you want me to autograph your CD? I say OMG! YES! I was shocked that she saw me but I did not want to be rude I knew they were ready to leave, Joyce & Pam are wonderful ladies

I got there Christmas Reunion CD that they did in 2006 it is wonderful Christmas CD! Did you see Joyce is on the Former Ladies Of The Supremes she is so beautiful and she is also on a New group called Tour DE 4Force, The CD came out about 3 months it is wonderful The CD is called: Quite Moon! order it Amazon

I'm even recommending, and I hope you don't mind, CousinSusie, that MGoddard84 redo his Billboard Chart Sweep of #1 of 1975 and one of the video recordings he might put in for as a clip for this #1 tune would be this one. I bought the original 45. It's a shame a song like Pick It Up wasn't as the B Side. It was one of the best songs they ever did. But nobody ever flips over records and plays the other side. If you haven't heard Pick It Up, you should listen to it.

This is the first time I heard Tony Orlando record this song - I've always been a great fan of Tony Orlando and Dawn ever since early in '71 over here in the UK with his first hit here Candida. My favourites in those days were Knock Three Times, What Are You Doing Sunday, I Play and Sing, and I still love them. I've just discovered Summer Sands today - that's also a great song and should have been released over here.

Hi Cousin Susie...The next time you speak with Cousin Tony, ask him if he ever recorded a version of "Always Something There Ro Remind Me." I saw him perform it on the "Tonight Show" a la 1979 but I don't know if he ever put it on vinyl. He did a great job on the song I might add.

Thanks so much for posting! Tony made a seldom-seen movie several years ago called (I believe? Anyone please correct me if I'm wrong) "300 Miles for Stephanie", based on the true story of a AZ? TX? police officer who ran 300 miles on behalf of his disabled daughter. TO did an awesome acting job. It was a real tear jerker, but a totally inspiring movie.
I can't find it on YouTube or anywhere else, but would love to see it again! It was one of my favorite made for TV movies.
