Walk around Waterfront Park, they have a little kids swimming area right in the river! You can grab the ferry over to Newburgh for a dollar, grab lunch, and ferry back!!!
Perhaps this should have been titled as a paean to Scenic Hudson. Beacon is a beautiful, livable community with something for everyone. The city has successfully "boot strapped" itself over the last tow decades with the help of, but not because of Scenic Hudson. Come visit and check us out yourself.
