Ok first off if you hold the brakes it won't move. Second it's not rear wheel drive its Mid Rear drive. Third that still does not help answer about this vehicle not strapped down in the front. All Cars must be strapped down front and back with the straps on the drive axle side crossed to prevent the vehicle from swaying side to side. And finally you never use the brakes on a dyno because the car will hope off of it. The rollers will do the braking for you when the test is completed.

This was at a Subaru Dyno day. The dude all the way on the right that keeps looking at the computer is the owner. He rolled up in the Zonda as we were finishing up with the Subarus. That thing was so low we had to make a ramp 15 feet long so we wouldn't scrape the CF. Fun day.

@dicksatan The point of a dyno run is to test power, you can't change gears in the middle, that would give you a messed up graph. All you need is a pull from low to high revs in third (or whichever gear has the closest ratio to 1) .

zonda is 2 kph slower but it has a weight really lower so it turns real easy. Bugatti is fast as hel but it doesn't turn. Like at all. I love the bugatti, its by far my favorite especially because of its look but still, the zonda doesn't need a w16 engine to go as fast. Sure the w16 is impressive, but its like putting 2 engines together to do the job of one zonda engine. technically, zonda is better. it proved it on quite a few occasions. Still, I prefer bugatti's look, more like a prototype

@SprecheDeutsch The Zonda's didn't start sounding F1 until the Zonda F. This is a Zonda S and although it has the same basic AMG 7.3 Mercedes V12 as the Zonda F.. the motors have had alot of change between S and F (especially in vocal notes). The compression was slightly raised, the intakes were changed over to individual throttle body, and the exhaust system has been completely replaced. Hope that helps your confusion.

@chabomzie I'm one of those people. The Bugatti's alright but not as exiting as the Pagani's. The only other vehicle that is as exciting to me as the Pagani's are the Koenigsegg's. Yeah, sure, Veyron's can do a million miles per hour but they're too quiet, too over weight, have the exterior design of an Audi and the interior design of a Bentley. If I'm going to own a million dollar hypercar... I want to feel butterflies everytime I see it and well.. the Bugatti doesn't supply me that.

Bugatti is a fantastic sportscar. This one is more for racing. Its lightweight and built for it much more than the Bugatti. The only thing to compare the Zonda to would be the Koenigsegg.
