@dresio666 Not including Metallica is rather silly. Same with Anthrax. Just because YOU might not personally like them, doesn't take away from what they accomplished. Bands like Testament, Exodus, etc., were influenced by the early work of these bands. And Metallica alone, their influence on Thrash is undeniable. They were THE thrash band. Just because they moved on to other styles doesn't mean they aren't still one of the "Big 4". And quite frankly, Death Magnetic was pretty Thrash.

My thrash elite is six bands and in this particular order: Testament, Anthrax, Megadeth, Overkill, Metallica and Dark Angel. I like Slayer also, but I think they're too repetitive, so I replace them with Dark Angel, which is even more brutal thrash anyway. I also don't put Metallica higher than fifth place because their albums after 1988 aren't too interesting to me and they simply are not the best band in the world.

.. and I was there.. 92 monster of rock Reggio Emilia :) when megadeath performed anarchy in uk an hearthquake had that place as epicenter. I remember a billion of empty bottles of whater flyng contemporarely .. like a great choreography. testament was for me the first time I heared some of their music and I never stopped to do it. There where people like Iron maiden, pantera, black sabbath, megadeath. pratically all bands I've always been fan of.
