and i know that deathmatch sucks.but co-op and singleplayer don't.

TB's criticism of the lack of maps is spot on but the rest isn't truthful at all. The blurring can be disabled in the graphics options (Gaussian Blur) as well as the lens flare. I'm sure the dust can be tweaked as well. Also the double barrel shotgun is just as "OP" as it was in the original games as well as their HD updates. Was insta-kill up close.

I had a thought- if the game moves faster a la Unreal Tournament and Quake, it presumably requires more skill to, and is harder to, aim accurately with the likes of a sniper rifle, yes?

Then if the converse is true, that a slower game makes aiming and sniping easier, then with slower shooters in recent years such as the modern military shooters, is it really a surprise that camping has emerged as a practicality and a problem?

Knowing Croteam, weapon balancing can be done ad hoc on servers... There's an immense list of CVARS, and (if I remember correctly from the Serious Sam HD games) things can be nerfed/balanced with a config or autoexec.

@CptBobbossa The point isn't that Halo shouldn't have a one-hit sword or Gears it's sawed off. People do have a problem with the knife in CoD. The point is that an arcade style deathmatch-game shouldn't have a weapon that kills almost anything in one hit even with terrible aim. These kind of games usually have 3-4 times more health than the "realistic" shooters. Instakills don't exist outside railguns, sniper headshots and InstaGib.

You, Sir, Mr. Biscuit, Sir, are talking a load of crap in this video. In Quake 3 you DIE from a shotgun at blank range with full HP and 20 Armor. In Quake 3 when you don't decrease all the graphic settings, there is hella lot of smoke and shit too. In Quake 3 people spawn behind you all the time. In Quake 3 you can die 5 times in 15 seconds. From the gameplay that I have seen in this video, this game seems a lot like Q3 to me and you shittalk it into oblivion. You don't make sense.
