  • They are right.. Wahbhism is a radical movement spearding across the globe by Saudi money..

Muslims have to stand up to expose Wahabisim..

  • If in fact the Muslim world is dominated by moderates and neoprogressives that are going to usher in a new era of prosperity and freedom then there is not much we in the west need to do about. But if on the other hand radicals are ascendant then we need to play a big role...so the way we think about this matter and it matter to those that are suffering under a totalitarian system.

  • This guys is awesomely logical. He is my new Vulcan friend.

  • He has no idea what he talking about

  • What an interesting NAME "Gartenstein-ROSS'.. one is probably Jewish and the ROSS part is my own Scottish Clan from Inverness, Scotland.

  • Daveed asserts that the same % of Christians (what did he say - 15%?) would NOT support violence to defend Christianity. WHAT EVIDENCE does he have of that claim. I think that is incorrect.

  • It is demonstrably incorrect. The most reliably pro-war segment of the US population includes conservative, evangelical Christian--25% to 50% of the US population, depending on whose figures you believe.

  • Was it the war against terrorism or the war in defense of Christianity? BIG difference.

  • Also, Daveed said that he would address the violence arguments - did I miss that?!

  • It is precisely the US Imperialist role that has made Islamic Fascism (what he calls radical Islam) ascendant. We have sponsored coups of secular leaders (ex. in Iran) to replace them with Islamic Fascists. If we were promoting democracy and secularism, rather than just our hegemony in the M. East, would Bush have secret weekend getaways in Crawford with Saudi theocratic dictators, while he will not even meet with democratically elected, secular leaders of neighboring counties?

  • 1.Blaming the U.S.

    2.Lying and insinuating falsehoods

    3.Changing the subject

    4.Parroting propaganda

  • treyhenricks: "that has made Islamic Fascism (what he calls radical Islam) ascendant"

So you agree with him that Islamic Fascism is indeed ascendant. The debate is over.

  • @treyhenricks Actually, we sponsored a secular Shah to overthrow a democracy in Iran because it has socialist tendencies, not least of which was to nationalize all British oil holdings. If Iran had any intention of being democratic, one American and a million dollars would not have been enough to prevent their democracy, America is hardly to blame. That democracy was waiting to be overthrown. The US promotes secular dictatorship in the mideast usually. It is the only decent option.

  • @treyhenricks WTF? Islamic radicals quote their Quranic and verses from their Hadiths that predate any kind of US "imperialism"
