What's the battery life like? Does overclocking work? How about Undervolting? Something like Govnah?

@AftComet I charge it ever 2-3 days with moderate use(games, some video and music). I think the main thing that is keeping the battery life from being better is the fact that wifi doesn't sleep properly, so that's always running. That said, I'd say the battery life is better than on Gingerbread.

I use CPU Master to overclock, I have it running stable at 1.6Ghz

I overclocked my TP running that latest WebOS to 1.8 and I also undervolted the settings. So I have it running at the voltage when it is at 1.2-1.5. Like butter.

never mind i found what i needed in the description , however im still not able to setup the wallpapers like you did. i get five different wallpapers but scaled into one screen only. Are you using a third party launcher , please guide me through the Multi Picture Live Wallpaper setup. thanx !

Hi, great vid. I do have a question. Every time I use the usb connection on my hp touchpad, my computer wants me to reformat the device. It does not list it as a hp touchpad. I am using webos on my touchpad. Also if I reformat it, it will erase everything on the tablet. What should I do?

Good demo. This makes me want to get another TouchPad and load ICS. I got rid of my original one, pre-Android. I can't stand the aspect ratio of the 10.1" tabs but the TP was just right. I quickly got bored of WebOS. The "no-lag" is amazing in the browser. Thanks.

Man!! ICS looks BOSS on the TP, but I just use netflix and youtube too much to make the move. If ONLY they had a dual boot for CM7 and CM9. I cant even remember what webos looks like at this point (thats how long its been since i have used it).

@elnala93 Sounds like you did an in place upgrade from CM7, your going to have issues with method, i recommend booting into clockwork recovery and wiping Data and Cache for best results.

i am still using web Os on my 32gb TP i am pretty content with it except ofcource lack of applications and games, so what i understood from browsing about CM7 or now CM9 for past 2 hours (as i get to know about it) i have 2 questions:

1- is camera, general video playback and web streaming via flash doesn't work at all or doesn't work properly on CM7 or CM9 is that a right perception?

2- dose skype works on this CM9 ?

1. The camera/microphone have never worked well in CM7/9 to my understanding (or at least I've never had much luck with them). Video/Flash playback work just fine in CM7 and I believe Flash runs fine in CM9 but video playback is not hardware accelerated in CM9.

2. Only the portions not reliant upon the webcam/microphone (i.e. pretty much only text messaging services).

Personally I'm usually in Android but reboot whenever I need Skype.

@666StealingSociety Yeah you'll want to wipe before flashing, data, cache, system. If you do that you shouldn't have any problems

Great video. Would you recommend making a CWM backup, then completely wipe the TP clean. then after install CM9 and restore the backup? Sorry if this is a nooby question. I just got into android rooting.

@XvEmoKittyvX Make a CWM back just incase anything goes wrong you can restore, but if you want to keep your apps I'd recommend using mybackup from the market to backup your apps. Wipe everything except boot and flash CM9 and gapps, redownload mybackup and restore.

Hey im planning to install CM9 for the first time on my touchpad. currently there are no specific instructions on how to dualboot cm9 with webos. Will the instructions on how to dualboot with cm7 and webos apply to this release?

@123yik Yes, with CM9 installed I still have the option of booting into WebOS.

Do the external speakers shut off when you plug in headphones? In early CM7, audio would come out both. I use my TP to listen to music at work, so this would be a deal breaker for me to upgrade.

@notman05 Just tried it and they shut off but nothing comes through the head phones :(, so there is a bit of work that needs to be done there.
