In the U.S. its really easy to get one. They don't cost as much as you think, white tigers are the most expensive but you can get a lion cub for the same cost of a purebred dog. You can find a breeder really easy on the internet. I'm glad Germany doesn't allow people to own them as pets I dont think the average person would be able to take care of them.

Firstly 'zoo's and the like inbreed tigers to get the white color' - if you watch any of the programmes on tv, youll see that zoos swap and trade animals between them to avoid inbreeding and to try and raise healthy cubs. Plus they're white because of the mutant albino gene (i'm not 100% on that so feel free to correct me IF YOU'RE RIGHT).
you are rigth accredited zoo do swap tigers if they are part of an ssp program. However, some uaccredited places will inbreed white tigers in order to get white babies. There are not albions since tehy have stripes it just a color variation caused by a double recessive gene.

That way, zoos can write that the animal died of a natural death. It's a sickly practice that should be illegal!

Face it they are pretty free, how smart do you think a tiger is? Vets know when animals suffer from "cabin fever" and they know how much area a tiger needs to feel like its living somewhere in the open, the people who take care of these animals are the ones that really love them, there much better off there then in the wild, I bet they occasionally enjoy the attention they get too.

Your common dog was once a wolf that belonged in the wild. Decades of breeding and isolation from the wild has turned it into a domestic dog, now man's best friend capable of performing numerous tasks. White tigers are not originally found in the wild, It's a birth defect.

Yes thats right. Put out in the wild where people who arent idealistic as you can hunt them for their skins. At least in that zoo they are free from poachers and most nasty diseases that could affect them. Their species will live on, and can be enjoyed for generations to come.
Would you prefer to have wild tigers that you can show to your kids in a photo book, or would you prefer to maybe one day take your kids to see a real live tiger?

Okay, and secondly (aimed at CERTAIN PEOPLE), i thought this video was about two tigers? Since when did issues about other races come into it?? I'm not religious in any way and I'm proud of it, but I will say I agree with the christian ideal that God created everyone in his image, so WE ARE ALL THE SAME. Get OVER YOURSELVES, because we have. okay, I want to adress a few comments here that have me annoyed. Firstly 'zoo's and the like inbreed tigers to get the white color' - if you watch any of the programmes on tv, youll see that zoos swap and trade animals between them to avoid inbreeding and to try and raise healthy cubs. Plus they're white because of the mutant albino gene (i'm not 100% on that so feel free to correct me IF YOU'RE RIGHT).

you are rigth accredited zoo do swap tigers if they are part of an ssp program. However, some uaccredited places will inbreed white tigers in order to get white babies. There are not albions since tehy have stripes it just a color variation caused by a double recessive gene.

It's so terrible, the inbreeding. Have you ever seen a picture of a mentally defective, genetically screwey tiger? It hurts your heart like you wouldn't believe. Tigers were put on this earth as one of the proudest,most regal, balanced, beautiful creatures in existence. To see one drooling on itself, cross-eyed, and skeletally distorted is just atrocious.

Yes, this inbreeding MUST stop! 80% of all white tigers are stillborn, and of the remaining, most are so deformed and messed up from the inbreeding that they are deemed "unsuitable" for display and are killed through terrible means, oftentimes starvation. That way, zoos can write that the animal died of a natural death. It's a sickly practice that should be illegal!
