Dottie touched my heart with her music when I was very young...and this song still makes me cry for my momma, who is in heaven and I think she is doing some teaching herself up there. But I just keep praying and having faith that one day I will meet here again.

This is sooo beautiful and touching! The only memory I have of my natural mother is her beautiful voice singing to me when I was just tiny. I was told that her voice was angelic and when I hear this song I think of her and I know heavens choir is so much prettier with her voice there. Dottie knew how to touch your heart with a song!!!

What lyrics! David lays down his harp and heavens bells won't ring when Momma's teaching angels how to sing. What a poet Dottie was. I miss her so much. I saw her at Dollywood the year before she went to be with Jesus. Thank God that her music remains to bless us.

I cry everytime I hear this song. It is such a beautiful song. I think it was fitting that it was sang at funeral/memorial service. I would like to think that someone would remake it, but I doubt anyone else could do it justice.

Thanks to the one that posted this. My MAMA is in Heaven Today and I sang this song the June 23Rd last year in Memory of her. She passed away in 1990. I have been listening to the Rambos since I was a teenager. I have a lot of their record albums and still play them today. It was so sad the way she had to leave this world but in a way it was a Blessing. She isn't suffering any more. May God Bless Her family.

I will never forget as a boy of 6 years old lying on the floor in our little Texas home in the days after my mother went to be with Jesus, listening to the Rambos singing this song, just picturing her there. It isn't hard to see Dottie there now. We are all richer for your journey here, dear sister.
