  • I really enjoy wireflys coverage well done! Really awsome phone the battery is unreal i am a heavy user and stream media alot and have not been able to kill tje battery in a day!

  • can i have the droid razr

  • This is nice video, nice phone.. but I can't get it in my country Malaysia due to no LTE 4G network...

btw, you sound like Nicholas Cage~~ :)

  • @onizheng Yeah, people say I sound like Nicolas Cage, although I don't hear it. Someone once told me that I look like Woody Allen, but I didn't see that, either. Mostly, I'm just...

  • @wirefly pshhh dont listen to @onizheng .....you sound like ADAM WEST!!!

  • @slash4ulzz Yeah, I get that a lot, too. Mostly, I think I sound like me, but I could be mistaken.

    Bob at Wirefly

  • @wirefly lol mk...keep up the good work Mr West

  • @jay196jay A DROID RAZR sold for Verizon in the US will probably not work in Jordan. It uses CDMA for 3G service and LTE for 4G service, and Jordan probably has neither of those.

  • To charge what a battery nope

  • The black plate is better

  • @wirefly. Does this work on gsm sims? im from india. Pls rply

  • @DHARUNTHEDESTROYER No, the Motorola DROID RAZR does not work with GSM SIMs. At least the version sold in the US for Verizon does not work with GSM SIMs. I don't know if there is an international version.

  • New maxx order through wirefly for my wife will be here tomorrow. No roses = new phone.

  • @Riddlersmyth Sometimes a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do. Thanks for ordering from Wirefly!

  • how much is is to upgrade to the maxx for a 2 year plan?

  • @blakedrewcub13 Prices change all the time, so it's best if you go to Wirefly and check for the current price. Anything I say here could be obsolete in a few weeks.

  • Bob think you can do Spectrum vs Nitro HD

  • @sboy100xx Wirefly doesn't sell AT&T phones, so I unfortunately don't have easy access to the Nitro. That would be fun, however... anyone want to lend me a Nitro so that I can do a Schmackdown? I'll take you out to lunch at the deli across the street!

  • Bob, galaxy note, galaxy nexus, or, droid razr maxx?

  • @nuffsaidguy I haven't seen the Galaxy Note yet but am very interested. I really like the RAZR Maxx for its outstanding battery. The Galaxy Nexus is nice but Android 4 isn't moving me yet. And don't forget the Rezound. (The Spectrum is a possibility but it needs an update.)

I think I prefer the Rezound, but that might change when the Note arrives.

  • the battery is the reason why it's so thick

  • That is a very big battery! How long can it last?

  • @EthanCarrasco102998 The battery can last for several years, maybe more than a decade if you care for it properly.

Or are you asking how long it can run the phone?

    Bob at Wirefly

  • @wirefly btw thanks for the reviews,i always wat h your videos and it always helps me decide between phones because im always getting a different one

  • @crashcourse1989 You're welcome!

    Bob at Wirefly

  • @wirefly awe man! Well thanks for letting me know before i messed it up trying,I been getting 6 hours out of my battery with heavy use better than when i first bought it

  • I'm thinking Motorola did this just to get more money,I bought the droid Razr then 2 months later a Razr maxx! That's not enough time to make a phone so the maxx was ready when the first Razr came out,but I took the back off my Razr it comes off so I may try to get my hands on a maxx back and battery and switch it :)

  • @crashcourse1989 The problem with your idea is that the Maxx has a case that is bigger to accommodate the larger battery. You won't get the Maxx's battery to fit in the original RAZR's case.

    Bob at Wirefly

  • Thanks bob!

  • are u going to do a review becasue it seems like its the same as the original razr except thinckness and battery, most peopl ejust wanna hear howthe battery is

  • @jayzg60 I will do a review of the RAZR Maxx, but probably not right away. I have a couple other things on my plate first.

    Bob at Wirefly

  • @wirefly Hey Bob, well I'm hoping that the things on your plate are interesting....maybe a new phone to unbox? Perhaps a new 'schmackdown'? The Maxx vs Spectrum? :o)

So this is the Droid Maxx that you mentioned was a great fit for my extremely busy spouse (12+ hour days & no schmartphone can last) but probably the biggest thing for her is a great camera (Nexus is out of the running), then battery, then no 'bugs', like some of the new phones have, ease of use. Can't wait to see the Droid 4.

  • @Azracingfan Yes, this is the phone with the huge battery that should easily last for more than a day. It's a very nice phone. The DROID 4 is coming soon and I have three videos completed on it... just waiting to get approval to go live with the videos. That includes a review and two Schmackdowns, although not the one you identified. :-(

    Bob at Wirefly

  • @wirefly Thanks Bob. Funny you mention your upcoming Droid 4 reviews......I showed my wife the CES vid regarding the Maxx and the 4 and she's a QWERTY girl (Droid2) and kinda likes the keyboards so I can't wait to see those. And as always, thanks for awesome reviews!

  • @mak450 It didn't have to be the RAZR. Who cares what it's called? What matters is how good the phone is. If that's the case then they coulda named THIS phone something else and changed the UI a little.

  • Hey bob this is probably out of the topic-but what phones allow the consumer to talk and surf the net simultaneously?

  • @gtr2828 There are several phones that can do that, and I probably don't know all of them. The Rezound, Spectrum, Galaxy Nexus, Samsung Epic 4G Touch, at least one version of the iPhone 4S and probably some others.

    Bob at Wirefly

  • I feel sorry for whoever bought the old Razr,,

  • This is what it should've been from the start. Either way I don't care for Blur. It sucked on the Bionic.

  • @mdotsosa no im shouldn't have...this thing is about as thick as the Nexus what'd be the point of naming the first reuse of the Razr name on a device that isn't thinner than the contemporary competition? They'd have had to name this something awful...like the KRAZR

  • wtf im tired of reviewers saying lets see if this has any power in the battery . it has power everything is shipped with a full charge . I'm tired of people saying that

  • @yaboyjorge18 I can tell you that I received a new phone today. I opened the box, popped in a battery and plugged in a charger, and the display indicated the battery had 30% charge. When the camera is running, I try not to assume anything.

    Bob at Wirefly

  • @wirefly i meant to say it like all products come with enough to at least turn it on and set up . my bad

  • I just hope verizOn don't come out with HTC rezound ultra beats since Motorola releasing another same phone with a big battery

  • This should had been from the begining instead of dropping the droid razr

  • 3300 mAh battery!? That's incredible and revolutionary, l look forward to the review of day to day performance with this amazing battery

  • Does the fact that GSM doesn't work mean that roaming is not possible?

  • @5luvyleevz At the moment, roaming onto GSM networks is indeed not possible with a stock RAZR Maxx. However, there are rumors about Verizon doing a firmware update on *some* of its LTE phones that will allow them to work with GSM. As far as I know, this is a rumor, although it sounds good. I've heard that the Spectrum and Rezound will get this treatment, but don't remember the RAZR being included.

    Bob at Wirefly

  • @wirefly yes but verizon lets you roam on usc on 3g soooooo they cover everywhere and by that fact i mean 100% of the united states!!

  • Razr > Razr Maxx > Razr Dev Edition... Seriously, Motorola?!!

  • Good job. Thank you.

  • I have to say out of all the reviewers out there. You tend to give the best reviews as far as pointing out the phones features and what to look for and expect in the phones. I don't believe I have ever heard you trying to pit one phone against another as far as quality. You simply do a comparison between the phones and let the consumer decide what they want. Good Work.

  • @GoMetricToday Thank you. I have a lot of experience reviewing products, and I've found that there are seldom absolutes. A feature that one person hates is usually a feature that someone else loves, so the best thing to do is to tell the truth and stand out of the way.

    Bob at Wirefly

  • Bob, that dual usb charger also came with the original droid razr too.......

  • @DCfreak009 I probably saw it then but it didn't stick with me. Thanks for reminding me.

    Bob at Wirefly

  • Wow, these phones release back-to-back now

  • @avgjo86 dude I got the old epic too and Ive had the bigger battery for it for like half a year now, the phones runs great and for days!!!!!!!! At least two days without charging is what I get oiy of it sometimes, just buy it off amazon there like 10 bux well worth it

  • Wow that is one massive battery. Wish I could get anywhere near that with my old epic 4g!

  • Yeah
