  • This song was written by Alan O'Day! Although it never made it to #1 for any artist, it was recorded by dozens of major recording artists.

  • My first exposure to this song was by Tony Orlando and Dawn. I don't think they ever released it as a single, either. Pity, as it's a great song, and Tennile does a great job with it here.

  • Look how weird his eyes look!

  • @gypsyqueen1964 Daryl has always suffered from a congenital defect that makes him look like a deer in headlights when he's photographed. This is why he wears sunglasses for so many of his pix.

  • This was one of C&T's very best & should've been the the third single released fro "Come In From The Rain" (after"Can't Stop Dancin'" and the title song. Instead, they released "Circles". You decide which would've been more commercially successful.

  • A great song, with a sensational performance from Toni. First rate!

  • Loved this group so much. Thanks for posting this. They were a great music team and all the more so being husband and wife. That made it something special.

  • nice track. what year?

  • @agfagaevart 1977

  • @agfagaevart From the year 1977, and the LP "Come In From The Rain."

  • Great video, and I've always loved the song. Lots of great photos and clips. Kudos!!

  • Very sexy song!

  • One of C&T's very best songs (and probably their sexiest to that date), courtesy of Daryl's genius.

A&M didn't release many of C&T's best songs as singles, choosing instead some truly banal stuff. Perfect example: instead of releasing this sizzler as the third single from "Come In From the Rain" (the first two being "Can't Stop Dancin'" & their excruciatingly beautiful arrangement of the title track), A&M released the incredibly bland "Circles", which didn't even graze the Billboard Hot 100.

  • An amazingly talented couple: singer Toni Tennille and keyboard artist Daryl Dragon aka "The Captain", son of famed orchestra leader Carmen Dragon

  • Ms.Tennille looks sexy in that red, floral print sarong and that pink towel that she sports sarong style in the steam bath with her husband "Capt.Darryll" Dragon.

  • Thanks for posting....I've wanted to hear this track again for the past ten years!!

  • As good as this is, and its IS good, John Kay's version is REALLY evil!

  • They were my prime time

  • They do make a great, good looking couple. Its good to see that they ae still happily together and that "Love will keep us together" did come true for them both.

    Congrats to them both!

  • Album covers and inserts. It was so much fun pouring over them back in the day. Thanks for the blast from the past.

  • Thank you...this rocks!

  • 1970's, man music was music then..thnx 4-posting..smile

  • I used to think Darryl couldn't talk because he would just sit there and say nothing she'd do all the talking

  • This sing was also recorded by John Kay after Steppenwolf. The album was titled "My Sportin Life". I think it was his first solo gig after leaving the band. This was around '75, I believe.

  • Don't they have any kids?

  • No they don't. My friend read in People Magazine in 1975 that they weren't into having kids because they wanted a music career. They were just looking forward to being Aunt Toni and Uncle Daryl to all their nieces and nephews. If they did have kids, they would have made good, loving parents.

  • I think this is on the "Come In From The Rain" album. Seriously, this is probably my favorite song!!!!!!! I haven't heard it in forever. Sadly, it's never played anywhere, so I appreciate your uploading this very much!

  • You're right. I agree with you every step of the way!

  • Yep, I was in the C & T fan club as well and have lots of clips as well as those newsletters! Saw them the year this particular album came out and thought they were great!

  • Great song, never heard it before...Toni Tenille's voice is near perfection.

And stop the video around the 2:45 mark...what fantastic legs!!! lol :)

  • I agree with you 120% about Toni's voice. She has a nice, soothing voice that just warms my heart!

  • this track was also done by tony orlando and dawn

  • Excellent video brought back alot of memories you did a great job!!

  • "So Chinese a Evil...such a sin chew he see..." Yeah, I was so dumb back then.

What a gerat band. I was just a kid, but I loved looking at the pics on the albums.

What a better time to live in.

  • Wow - if I didn't know better, I'd think you'd raided my old stash of C&T memorabilia to make this video! I would nearly pee my pants with excitement when those blue-ink newsletters would show up at my house. :-D

  • What a FABULOUS song. I loved C&T back in the 70's, and today as well. Thanks for posting this!

  • LOL! U dedicated this to ME, Mama! Hahaha! Ur so sweet!

  • Amazing legs~~~

  • Toni's a lucky lady; Daryl Dragon was so handsome back in the day.

  • The Captain's lucky, too. Toni Tennille was pretty good looking herself. I was only six when "Love Will Keep Us Together" came out, but I can remember thinking she was very pretty. I don't know if she was the catalyst of my love of leggy women with overbites, or just an early example, but either way, she was hot stuff.

  • Yeah! The Lulu version is nice, too -- and some other ones on Spotify: John Travolta and Peggy Lee also pretty good.

  • A true gem of a song done as only C & T could do!! One of their best....And the pictures were awesome!!

  • I had no idea how sexy Tenille is until I saw her with that pink towel on in 2:44.

Great song. Thanks for posting it. I love the video.

  • Me too -when I saw it, it was like wow! -Not at all like the photos on their albums I have from the 70's.

  • Enjoyed the video...quite a collection of pictures. Good job.

  • John Kay Of Sreppenwolf did this on "My Sportin` Life" around 1973; written by Alan O`day I think...

  • She did NOT steal his song.

  • I can't keep my eyes off of the captain, damm he was good looking

  • I enjoyed revisiting some of the photos from their fanclub in the 70s...I was 20 feet from her at CBS TV Network in H'wood and was working there as a stage assistant. Bruno and Carol Ciccotti (sp?) came up to her and then I couldn't (even after meeting many stars at CBS) get up the nerve to go up and "hello". One of my one regrets. Due to her and Daryl, I became a professional musician (played alto sax in LA, San Franciso, and Portland blues bands). I also opened for Etta James in Portland.

  • Steppenwolf!

  • ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

    LOVE TONI TENILLE !!

& the Captain of course, a little bit... :-)

    Thanks for sharing

  • you know, toni has some nice feets in this. 30 years ago i'd love to sniff and sucvk her toes after a long day. i have a fetish. she was hot

  • I don't but i certainly would, too. Easily the sexiest female recording artist ever. Flawless. That damn lucky Captain!

  • I remember that John Travolta cover this song

  • toni had some legs

  • Great memories! I ever listened this song and many other songs for thousand times since 1975.

  • damn, in some of those she looks like charlize theron . . . that wacky voice in the middle kinda gives me the creeps . . shiver.

  • hey! if you can find it, could you upload that song "Going Bananas"? It's a wild and cool song I remember years ago, but also haven't heard for years!

  • I like the song "Going Bananas" too. That's a cute and funny song.

  • I love all the songs they put out, all of them are great.

  • I agree with you 100% gck5lions. They are 2 of the greastest people in the world!

  • Tony Tennille looked a lot like Shelly Long!!!

  • I was working at a gas station in the late 70"s in yorba linda, california when I met toni tennilles father. He was on his way to las vegas to quote" see the kids." Seemed like a a real nice fellow.

  • Nice story, I still can not belive that I did not go see C. & T. perform. I lived in Vancouver at the time, must of been 5-6 times in Las-Vegas. Big mistake. They are so great.

  • Did Captain ever smile?

  • I think Tennille over-smiled so much that it made up for his blank face

  • Reminds me of this hot hairy guy I like!!!

  • I heard this song year's ago on Sylvia's album "Pillow Talk." This version is way better though. Just goes to show how underrated Darryl Dragon's producing skills were. Sylvia was a great songwriter/producer but this is way better.

  • I agree with you 100%.

  • Easy Evil is one of their best songs!! This is just great!

  • It should have been made the cut on their "Greatest Hits" album. And also on their "Ultimate Collection" and "Millenium Collection" CDs. I don't know why it didn't.

  • Can not get enough of C.and T.

  • Me neither!!! I'm totally hooked on C&T!

  • So nice couple and what kind of LEGSSSS of her! WOW!

  • This is great and thank you for posting it. It's been alongtime since I have seen some of the covers here. Brings back many memories. Does anyone know if Daryl is blind? My husband insists that he is, but I have never heard anything about him being blind. Either way both Toni and Daryl are great, and I love their music. 5 stars 2 u and thanks again.

Peace and Many Blessings to you rondiscscinema

  • No, Daryl's not blind. Not at all!

But yes, these pictures are awesome!

  • Thank you so much for clearing that up. Daryl has such beautiful eyes, I am thankful to know for sure he isn't blind, and can see his beautiful Toni, and her smile.

They have been, and continue to be such a blessing to so many.

    Peace and Many Blessings tennille1998

  • Peace and many blessings to you too, tsalagiwaya!! Many happiness as well :) I like the way you said "Daryl can see his beautiful Toni". She is VERY beautiful and has such a sweet smile! You're right Daryl does have beautiful eyes; Toni does too. Although I'll admit I'm more partial to blue eyes, but brown can be nice too.

  • There tunes are always in my head. They are simply the best.

  • i think the charm of that union was not their talent but that subtle "sexy girl seducing the quiet guy" schtick.

  • Totally not true!! And even if it was, it's none of your business whatsoever!! If she were to seduce him that's totally none of your business!!!

  • Great music, I love it.

  • Yes it is the best!!

  • nice tune

  • I think they are perfect for each other.

  • Look at the body language here. He sits there and takes it all. does he ever give it back?? What was/is that marriage like?? 100%to zero??? Shame shame on him. Fu%#er!!!

  • For your information yddeeddy, they have one of the best marriages in the world. They've been married for 32 years. Whatever she gives him, he gives her in return. Whatever personal stuff they do, is NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS. So shame, shame on you, you big fat fu##ker!!!! Eat shit!!

  • Calm down. Just my opinion. Glad to hear things are fine with them. My life kinda sucks right now. Just "assumed". I've been married 25yrs. Sometimes when you think you know where your life is going, you get blindsided. Sorry. Enjoy the tunes.

  • I'm sorry too. Things are sensational with them. If I was guaranteed a marriage like theirs, I'd jump right into it like I was jumping into a pool. Sorry also about your misfortune. Hopefully things will turn around.

By the way, you know what happens when you "assume", you make an ass out of you and me. LOL. Have a nice day. I'm very sorry again.

  • Cool.

  • :) :) :) :)

  • Is it sad that I got a crush on a pop star from a long time ago? He so nice to look at...

  • That's okay. You're allowed to have a crush on anyone you want, regardless of time period. When I was in my teens, I used to have a crush on Ralph Kramden of the Honeymooners. That was long before my time. I found his face very attractive with those dimples and bulging eyes, but most of all that mad smile used to turn me on - where he would only show the bottom part of his upper teeth - straight across. If I saw a picture of him like that, I'd want it!!

  • Thanks, I don't know who Ralph Camden is though. The captain looks especially hot at 2:35 I think luck Tennille to have her arms wrapped round him, I wish that was me.

  • The name is Kramden (K-R-A-M-D-E-N). He was played by Jackie Gleason in the Honeymooners. In fact, he was the star. He was the big fat guy with the hot temper (always yelling at his wife, Alice). He also played a busdriver. Jackie Gleason passed away in June 1987. The other characters on the Honeymooners are Ralph's wife, Alice, Ed Norton, Ralph's best friend and Trixie, Ed's wife. It's really a good show. I'm just sorry they don't show it on TV anymore, but I hope to get the DVDs soon.

  • Yes, the captain was lucky to have Tennille wrap her arms around him like that. I wish that was me too, but in a friendly way, of course. I'd hug her big in return.

  • Daryl Dragon is soooo hot!

  • Yes he is, especially with his many hats!!! And Toni is quite a beauty queen.

  • I think he looks nice with his moustache and those sexy pictures of him with his shirt undone. He's nice looking even now when he is older. I didn't know Toni was a beauty queen as well however. Very talented!

  • Yes he does look nice with a moustache and he still looks good. I don't know if Toni was actually a beauty queen where she used to participate in beauty pageons. Just to me (in my eyes) she's a beauty queen as well as a vision of lovlieness!! If she was in a beauty queen pageant, she'd win first prize -no doubt.

  • At 2:45 my you-know-what got rock hard !!!

  • That's sick. Just as that man who said he used to masterbate to Tennille. Get a mate, you sick pervert!

  • hahahahaha ALL of U-tube is sick!!!

  • No, not all, just you, you deranged clown!!!!

  • just me?? better start looking at something other than just Capt. & Toenail sites on U-tube!!!

  • No!! I could look at whatever sites I want. And it's Captain & TENNILLE, you see that - Tennille, not Toenail you dumbass! It just so happens I like Captain & Tennille the best. You better start looking at other sites you big fat butterhog!! Or better yet, STAY THE HELL OFF OF YOUTUBE!!!

  • You are a stupid idiot!!! The name is Tennille, not Toenail. Can you read that? Tennille, Tennille, Tennille, TENNILLE. T.E.N.N.I.L.L.E. Now can you read that? Stay off of youtube and read a porn magazine instead!!

  • According to my Top 40 book "Can't Stop Dancin'" is the only song from this album to make the charts. But I really like this song, "Come in From the Rain", and "Sad Eyes" better. Those were awesome and should have been singles themselves if they weren't.

  • takes me back in time.

  • John Travolta also did this song on his 2nd album in 1977.

  • Her voice is so smooth and sexy, it's great to play this one on a romantic dinner at home. Her voice is so soft to the eardrums, unlike some screechy female artists nowadays. A lot of female artists are not really not that good.

  • "Easy Evil" is easily one of my favorite Captain and Tennille songs. It's from the CD "Come In From The Rain". Also check out their "Make Your Move" CD...simply amazing.

  • Thanks a bunch. I seem to keep on going back in the past with music. I can't move forward. The songs today don't interest me as much as the oldies. I'm stuck in the past!

  • The song was written by Alan O'Day, who also wrote the mysterious "Angie Baby" for Helen Reddy.

  • I just checked "Angie Baby" in YT. It sounds pretty cool. I hear the slight resemblance to this song.

  • I'm totally with you!!

  • You are so right!! She has a very sweet voice and it just warms my heart!

  • My boss needs to hear this one. He's one of the most uptight and cranky person in the world! He has to sit down and relax to this one. LOL

  • My boss is the same as yours. He never really talks to anyone, unless you're one of his favorites. He doesn't even say hello or good morning when you pass him. He acts like he doesn't even know you. When he's in a bad mood, he pretty much takes it out on everyone. So the least little thing could be the last straw.

  • It's like two different people. Off work, he's really cool. Once he starts, he becomes the opposite. He does say "hi." Must be just the job. He's weird. I sent you a message in your inbox about your replies from "Love Will Keep Us Together." I can't seem to find it. I don't know what happened to it. This is the first time that I lost someone's replies! Are they still together? The captain and Tenille? Someone replied to me that the Captain had some issues.

  • Yes, the Captain & Tennille are still together. Still happily married. The captain does not have any issues. Anyone who said that, obviously is talking trash!

  • That' good! 30 years married, right?

  • It's over 30 years, almost 32 years in fact. That's the best!

  • That's great! It's rare for celebrity couples to stay that long nowadays, I find.

  • That's true. It is great!

  • Do you happen to know if they have any kids and if they're following their parents' footsteps?

  • They don't have any kids.

  • That's too bad. At least they're still happily married, and that's good.

  • Yes it is.

  • They look good together. You can tell they're happily married by the way she looks at him, and she's always smiling in the pictures. Tennille is very pretty, and she's got that sweet smile. In her most recent pictures in this video, she still looks good, and the Captain too. They haven't changed much.

  • You're right, they do look good together. I agree that Tenille is very pretty and she does have a sweet smile. She has a very sweet smile. They still look the same. The only difference is that Tennille changed her hair over the years. It's very short now, she doesn't have that bowl cut anymore. But she still looks good.

  • She has that certain face that any haircut suits her, don't you think?

  • Yes I do!!

  • You know what, I must be having fun at work today because for some reason, I seem to be having this song in my head all day long! I tried to come up with another song. But I couldn't. I felt relaxed, and at the same time, productive due to this song. Even other people noticed that too! So, that's the remedy to enjoy work. Have this song run around in my head all day long. It's funny!

  • That's the way to do it! Glad you are having a nice day at work. I'm not having a bad day myself. I'm in my own office, so nobody really takes notice of what I do, which is good because I don't like too many people in my business. I love the song as well as the video. Did you see the one with Toni's song "Don't Forget Me"?

  • I saw it on YT just now. I heard it before when I was very young. Now I know it was her who sang it. It's a sweet song. Did you ever notice that she sounds black? She's got that big, smooth, soulful voice. It's beautiful! That's why I grew up thinking the song "Love Will Keep Us Together" was sang by a black woman. So far, I like all the songs I hear from them here in YT.

  • I like every song I hear from Toni as well. Her songs just warm my heart!!

  • When she sings "Your Good Thing (Is About To End)" on her Keeping Our Love Warm album, she sounds very soulful. It sounds almost like the blues.

  • That song is not on YT. Do you know other websites that may have this? I feel like buying their albums now. I hope they don't have that many. I'm broke at the moment.LOL

  • Their first 6 albums that they released in the 70's early 80's are back in print and are on CD. You can order them through Amazon or Deepdiscount CD. Also Toni's solo CDs are available as well through Amazon.

  • Thanks a bunch!

  • You're welcome!!

  • You think she sounds black? Maybe you should talk to the people who were knocking her for not being black enough for "Clean Up Woman", which she did just fine. They either said she butchered the song, or didn't put enough soul into it or she whitened the hell out of it. I think she did it just fine. She's never butchered anything in her life!!

  • I hope this comment goes through. It says here an error has occurred on my Youtube account. I'm trying again. Which album is "Clean Up Woman" in? A beautiful voice like that butchering a song? They're probably just jealous that they can't sing as well as Toni. That's what I think.

  • You are so right. Toni couldn't butcher any song, no matter how hard she tried!

Clean Up Woman is from her talk show. Check out the sight. It's good.

  • What's the name of the site?

  • It's on Youtube in under Toni Tennille. Just look for the video that says "Clean Up Woman".

  • Hey, now it's working!

  • I added you as a friend, so I'll send you the video. Enjoy it!!

  • Thank you very much!

  • You're welcome very much!

  • To Asiansual, I should of gotten back to you 2 months ago to comment on what I'm about to say. The Captain & Tennille are still together. When I said Toni went on her own, I meant, she recorded some songs on her own. They're still (happily) married. The captain did NOT get busted for any gay sexual encounter nor for coke. Lawnmaster was just talking garbage. You can't believe anything he says when he talks stuff like that.

  • Why is Lawnmaster talking garbage about the Captain? Is he even a fan at all? If you don't mind me prying about the "Toenail" guy? I think he's just typing that to see who would take a bite and get irritated. Some people do that you know, just to spite someone. Just ignore him. He's been playing a game with you, I think.

  • Lawnmaster likes to talk garbage about the Captain & Tennille. I'm not sure if he's a true fan of them. He used to say that Toni was on coke. I think the "Toenail" guy is just an idiotic moron who needs help. I think he has been playing a game with me to work me up. But I think I got him good and he won't be bothering me for a while. (Knock on wood.)

  • Such a smooth, sexy song. I like it a lot!

  • What a collection of pictures of the duo. And I had never heard this song before. Great posting!

  • SmokeHouse Blues without them after all these years.

  • Don't think I had heard this song before. Thank you for posting.

  • This song is from their "Come In From The Rain" album.

  • It would be an excellent song for Argentine Tango.

  • Who is Argentine Tango?

  • Argentine Tango is a kind of dance.

  • Wow That was pretty Cool!

  • Great tribute! :)

  • I love it !!!!

  • I love all those pictures. I'm a true Captain & Tennille fan. I adore Toni most of all. I'm glad you posted this on youtube. I truly enjoy.

  • hubba hubba ....you look good too Toni

  • Thanks for posting this, brings back many memories.

  • Thanks, Ron. That was awesome. I always loved how Toni only had eyes for her Daryl - you could see how much they loved one another, and are still together after over 30 years.

  • You are right! They are quite the couple!
