  • Just hit it hard. Really easy really!!

  • Some quality advice here. Was what Garcia did to get back on track with his driving game. Also important to have the right club tho. Golfclubonlinereviews (.com) is another great place to go if you're serious about getting the right clubs and improving your game. Worth a quick look ...

  • Hey dude, I was at the crossroads with golf, couldn't train an inside attack, constantly coming over the top, getting totally pissed off. Watched this vid and focussed on the palm up position as I bring the club head down and what a difference! Granted, I've also toyed with my grip, but the palm up concept has improved my swing and got me back in the game. Thanks.

  • Nice video, I think what you need to show is the drop into the slot, all these amature think you take the club back and swing as hard as you can back to the ball, 99% don't see the under neathe move into the ball, you show the angle but not the drop down into that position, it looks again like just a back and fourth swing. You take the move for granted, thats the magic move they can't see on TV.

  • @golfer348 good observation. Let me ask you, Ive golfed for 31 years. Lowest handicap was 8 (ive shot under par once). I will occasionaly hit the ball off the toe of the club. Which are the most common causes of this?

  • This 90 degree angle is the reason most amateur golfers slice,or have weak contact with the ball,or lack power etc...

The modern method is to actively use the right arm as if you are throwing a ball at the other ball. This creates a more natural technique.

Stop teaching people this stupid angle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I hate expert village...so many clips, all out of order, no numbering....just dumb

  • if you can hit a longdrive enter a longdrive comp!

    enter the world longdrive series

  • on golfman666 we show you how to hit a short driver

  • This is super helpful. I use a few of these tips and they have helped me a lot. This video is really well done thanks for sharing it. Everyone should take note of these tips!

I found some other great tips for driving check them out in my profile!

  • nice r5 you got same exact club and shaft as me

  • Hi, i'm 3 and a half years old. I like hitting my driver. When I was 2 I could hit a draw that went around my suburb and landed back at my feet. Now i'm 3 I can draw the ball around the moon and back. Once I nearly hit the space shuttle. Nasa called to ask me to stop it. I once hit the ball and didn't see it again for 2 weeks. After my lesson next week my coach says I'll be able to draw the ball around the moon, fade it around jupiter and land it on the top of mt everest. No, really...........

  • what-is-the-best-thing-that-you-have-ever-seen-done-in-a-junior-golf-school-camp-or-lesso

  • What a fag man, what part of the big flooded bowl u livin in with a toothpick shack in New Orleans?

  • i once hit a pitching wedge 7500000 yards. i yelled 'fore' and the ball hit a chinese man on his head

  • @joeglimmix Yeah Right! its not possible!

  • that was the dumbest comment i've ever fucking read

  • Tiger's left arm is 100 % straight though

  • Tiger's swing is Amazing, but its all about being comfortable. If your comfortable with your swing and you hit the ball straight and far everytime its whatever does that for you.

  • Thats why he had to have an operation on his leg....because of to much effert..in his swing..even tho he is a great player..I wonder how he will be when he is older..

  • as long as you are disciplined enough. you don't have to keep your left arm straight the entire back swing, many have to keep it straight since they can't re-straighten it on the down swing. i find bending my arm slightly on the backswing makes for a more natural swing. will be different for everyone, though. just don't think that "your arm has to be straight 100% of the swing". that is fiction

  • Big thank you for this Kensey - have had two sessions using the elbow and right palm idea you mention in this vid and it has really helped sort out my hook with the longer clubs - also feels very powerful. Please ignore the morons' comments on here and keep up the good work.

  • Oh I'm not very good at all. I'm very inconsistent and hit a lot shorter than I should.

  • @new5orleans2saints1 It did actually :)

By the way, you do know that you can actually removed comments that you make on youtube?

  • guys...check out my swing...n faults

  • lol i tried my best. check ou tm channel to see my swing.

  • wow...who would of thought it was so hard to hit a ball. fuck me ITS SO EASY... everyone forgets about the FLEX of the head on impact. THINK 1 " FURTHER and that will compensate for the snap. this guy is poop dont waste your time..

  • Straight left arm isnt necessary on your backswing. Most golfers cant physically maintain a straight left arm throughout a proper backswing. I'm 55, compete in long driving, and drive the ball 325. Best advice I ever got was to worry more about a proper turn and dont get hung up on a straight left arm. If you want to worry about your left arm - make sure its straight at impact.

  • If your having trouble with keeping your left arm straight try this.Losen your grip so the club drops a little easier at the top of your swing.Kinda helped me

  • You called it man.I think the absolute number 1 thing to look for in a great swing is the left arm on the backswing. You want that left arm so straight on the backswing it lookslike your punching a straight jab.

  • look how his left arm is bent on his backswing. Indicator number one that this guy is bush league as fuck

  • If you don't get your hands through impact at the right time, (too far behind the rest of your swing), or you don't follow through all the way, (slowing the club down after contact), this could cause a massive slice, a macaroni noodle of a shot. My older bro has the same issue. I'm trying to help him with it. So far, he's hitting it a lot straighter since I had him hit half golf shots with the emphasis on timing of all of his swing's elements, and the importance of a complete follow through.

  • I also notice a 2 key power moves here: i think about keeping the angle between your shoulder and your left arm during the initial downswing, and retaining the L shape in the wrists. These moves store power ready for release at impact. I'm not saying it'll work for everyone but it's doing wonders for my iron play and improving my driving.

  • Why can I hit it on the range but then on the course, I can't hit the side of a barn?!?!?!?! God, I suck!!!!!

  • There's no pressure on the range, but on the course it's totally different. I drove the ball 200 yards on the range, but I got on the first tee and drove it like 100.. I know the feeling. You're not alone.

  • i feel your pain, i can knock it out of the range but i get on a course and im knocking it into the next fairway...

  • Its not just you man everyone struggles more on the course than on the range.

  • well ,he is right about maintaing the angle between the shaft and the left arm,but the hips dont spin or turn on the downswing, that will get the shoulders to come down from the ouside ,hence causing an over the top move,Try to move the hips laterally and dont worry about the turn, they will automatically turn .Try it at home, shift your weight laterally then hips will automatically turn.,

    Happy Golfing People

  • don't listen to that shit i tried it and it made me swing over the top

  • this guy sucks. it might work for him but not everyone has the same swing

  • For me, the key phrase here was to keep the right palm up duriing the initial downswing. For an habitual slicer this has really paid dividends, and I'm getting more distance and snap in both driver and iron shots. Thank you expert village.

  • I have tried everything for more than 20 years. You name it: Hogan's Supination, Sam Snead's pull down the butt of the club, Moe Norman's one plane, Swing the Handle system, A.J. Bonar's little home run, David Leadbetter, etc.. Some of them worked well for a little while and then went awry.

The most consistent, for me at least, is swingmachinegolf by Paul Wilson.

Try it: Powerless arms and wet spaghetti wrists.

  • I love when "pros" are giving lessons and there club face is completly shut and wonder why they cant buy a straightish type of shot

  • from down up is the key, to start the downswing then turn your body through...

  • It's funny how the words "rhythum and timing", hardly ever get mentioned in all the comments on the golf swing. A good swing is easier than most people realise if they would only trust themselves and get out of there own way. Do, dont think !

  • Took this to the driving range, powerful but more often than not cause a massive slice.

  • He lost me at "from here we need to make a move in this fashion." Most of the downswing is a reaction to what went on before. Anybody who thinks that intentionally jamming their right elbow into their gut during the downswing will produce a good shot is just asking for trouble.

  • Every good consistant ball striker does this.

Anyone will luck out and tag one straight every now and then even if they swing like monkey. But to hit it well on a regular basis, you had better be doing this move from the top.

  • Best tip for armature golfers

  • no not at all...keeping your wrist up is a terrible tip a beginner golfer will slice the hall out of the ball if they do that

  • 'armature' haha fail

  • Due to biomechnaics these positions happen automatically.

The problem with the average golfer or in fact most is they force these postitions and that lead to the swing faults you are mentioning.

It's impossible for the left arm not to straighten up in the downswing as a right hander..... that is.

I wish other Pros would make things simpler ,it is the only way to teach.

  • I totally agree. Good grip, good stance, swinging back around the proper axis, without using the hands/arms excessively to manipulate the clubhead will get you to the top fine. From there, all you need to do is clear your lead hip out of the way. On the other hand if you think that your spine is the axis of the swing (as many do) all the end-effects tips in the world won't save you.

  • This is the SECRET!!!! Everhting else , which we constantly consentrate on is insignificant!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
