  • usher in the background you fucking kidding me

  • Did anybody noticed. He sounds like Steve Jobs.:)

  • 1.2 WINS!!! LOL

  • can you make a video to youtube on there

  • While there only a slight difference in performance with the 1.5ghz I'm more interested in the battery life on the two clockspeeds. Obviously, 1.5 ghz gonna drain your battery but how much more? Does it put out more heat and how much more? The answers to these questions will truly give the end user a better idea.

  • ok, haven't seen that much of a difference

  • on the second thought this is a good video

  • for me this is no brainer, ofcourse, the 1.5 ghz win vs. 1.2ghz, as you see in numbers, the higher the better. lol

  • @gSausalito this is one of the most stupidest comments I've received for a video that has 42,000 views within two months. BTW, I own two businesses and I'm well respected for what I do.

  • @loudimpact lol way to tell him

  • Ok? U saved half a second?

  • can i have one of your hp touchpad please :( i get one anywhere

  • Interesting and useful. thanks for taking the time to shoot the video brother.

  • HOLYSHIT .1 of a second! I've got to overclock!

  • how do you know if its 1.5 or 1.2

  • the main thing the overclock does for me is that it makes hulu run very smoothly

  • Lol he keeps going the 1.5 wins again like hes shocked i mean what do u expect 1.5 is bigger than 1.2...

  • Don't OC, it does almost nothing, as it will reduce lifespan, though not enough to really matter. It also makes it less stable.

  • Not worth the effort to upgrade to 1.5

  • thumb up if you cried when touchpad comes cuz u got ipad 2

  • sounds like a i am in predator mask

  • 1.5 wins just like I expected it to. neck and neck. And look the 1.5...oh wait...the 1.2 won? Well that's just variances. If you want it to sound like a fair comparison, you shouldn't voice your bias in the video itself by explaining every single win on the 1.2 to "variances". Perhaps its your "variances" that caused the 1.5 to be faster part of the time. Not saying the 1.5 isn't faster, but the comparison could be a bit more objective. hard to do when your right finger wants to tap first

  • @glazedfaith Thanks for the tip, I don't plan to do this professionally. If I was comparing two different products I would sound very unbiased and more objective.

  • you mind selling me one of your touchpad

  • @dtownhuztla Haha funny guy. Why? My tabs never complain.

  • @loudimpact Honestly, i think i'm being a hater, i want one. :(

  • @dtownhuztla why are you watching this in the first place if you are just going to insult him?

  • @dtownhuztla Why not take your own advice? I mean, you're interested in the subject enough to look at this guys video. So, what's that say about you? No GF OR ambition?

  • why is he showing us the fav's instead of the actual apps

  • testing start up speeds is not a great indicator when you're comparing the 2 frequencies. Try comparing a processing task instead. I have mine set at 1.5 and I do notice much smoother scrolling and touch response, although I have also tweaked it with various homebrew tweaks. What I have noticed though, is that you get much faster response from your gestures if you remove the touch ripple, and disable all the logging etc.

  • and btw, this is not a high demand application (Angry Birds)

  • @verbod referring to Angry Birds has a higher demand than most regular applications. In other words, most games require more demand from the processor.

  • risk ? What risk ? This processor was built to run @ 1.5 btw

  • @verbod I already knew it was rated at 1.5Ghz months ago. The risk is about voiding your warranty.

  • Anyway you could make a video on "Hp TouchPad 1.2ghz Vs 1.9ghz Comparison"

  • @sonny899 Had problems with installing the 1.9Ghz, I had to remove it. Waiting for it to become stable.

  • Wow.... I really don't think that saving 0.2 to 0.3 seconds of loading time is worth losing 25% of your battery life....

  • @alkeli78 No significant change in battery life in regular use, unless you play hours of games or movies. I get about 30 hours use before charging and I use the Touchpad several times per day.

  • @loudimpact Depends on what you call "regular use"... my regular use on my touchpad is a bit of facebook, a bit of web browsing for news, but, mostly for movies (which is what I bought it for), music and games.

  • @alkeli78 Battery life from overclocking on this device is very fractional if at all. I have mine clocked at 1.8ghz and have seen very minimal battery life change.

  • @toadfrogjr Again, I see no real gain in doing this since the difference is barely noticeable, but if you were to play a movie (or two), your battery would drain much faster. So really, you would just have to clock back to stock speed whenever you want to watch a movie just to extend your battery life.

  • @ET2H nor spending your life on a apple tablet is real life

  • it's still a piece of shit

  • @fancyasian I guess you didnt get one

  • It's just a pinch faster in my opinion. Does the overclock touchpad lag any?

  • @darrrienk Still some lagging but not as much. Seems that the Touchpad performs better after a restart. So I shut mine completely down once a week.

  • you'll do less every day with the over clocked one actually because it uses more battery

  • Lol for such an "edge" I wouldn't 1. void my warranty 2.overheat the unit 3. minimize the lifespan of the cpu (that means the whole unit).

  • In addition to overclocking, did you also disable the logging services? Apparently, those really slow down the device.

  • I'd consider it an hour if I counted the amount it time it took to download java (seemed like forever), and the process of carefully following each step for a program I didnt understand.

But knowing what I know now and with the files all ready, it would only take about 10 mins.. :)

  • @ET2H no p3n1s

  • @wecannabis I'll take it. Seriously.

  • is it worth to keep a touchpad ? im thinking of selling it

  • @ET2H No hacking involved, nor 20 days of effort. 2 minutes of effort isn't exactly a life time wasted.

  • @ET2H Look, I know you're exaggerating since you took a long time to figure it out, but for some smarter people who actually know what they're doing, they tend to have better results than you. its okay though, we're not all meant to be intelligent. God just doesn't love you as much.

  • @ET2H Takes literally 5 minutes to over clock it, and that is if you have no idea at what you are doing. It is incredibly simple.

  • @ET2H dude wth are you talking about!!? it only takes 5 mins to add preware and overclock your touchpad! if you dnt knw what your talking about dnt bother commenting at all!

  • @yeedig01 They just want to be a sad little troll.

  • @loudimpact and @E2Th Dude it only takes like 10 mins! Wtf you guys smokin on

  • @yeedig01 Can you guys upload a video of your procedure? I'd like to see it and I'm sure you'll get thousands of views. I uploaded my overclocking procedure on my this channel so check it out and let me know what I'm doing wrong. People asked how to do it from scratch and THAT was the popular request. i.e. Install Java, Install WebOS Quick Install, Developer mode, install Preware, Install Uberkernel, install Govnah, Restart. If you have a better complete procedure PLEASE SHARE!

  • @ET2H Ur doin in wrong

  • @ET2H I think your doing it rong

  • @ET2H spending an hour to make the touchpad faster and more comparable to better tablet brands when you only spend 99 or 149 for it as apposed to 500-600 is worth it.

  • @ET2H uh? It only takes about an hour to overclock the Touchpad. Why such a negative comment?

  • @loudimpact an hour??? it took me 30 seconds via Govnah lol

  • @loudimpact it doesnt take an hour to overclock only takes 10 mins tops. Don't know why it took you an hr

  • @loudimpact Actually less than 10 min

  • at 1:47 how did you spin your screen?

  • @gyman978 If you open a game with portrait it automatically spins to landscape. When you close the game it automatically returns to portrait.

  • @loudimpact but mine doesn't work, did I do something wrong?

  • @gyman978 Oh, you need to lock it in portrait first.

  • the fuck is wrong with your mic?

  • @Rudigity It's the YouTube converter, not my mic, It depends on the audio format uploaded to YouTube. In this case I used 20kbp which made the video sound crappy. I used a higher audio format on all the other videos on my channel.

  • This is exactly what apple do. They make a good phone. Then they make it 2 percent faster and charge £100 (or $110 for americans) more for the new one.

  • @Playerchess77 There is already a tutorial on my channel. I tested out the Playbook and I'm not sure if the overclocked Touchpad can beat it in speed. I wouldn't call a 9.7" versus a 7" tablet a fair match though. You have 1024 x 768 versus 1024 x 600. The Playbook has less pixels to load.

  • maybe 1.7 but the 1.5 ghz not worth it to overclock .

  • How did you turn the screen from landscape to portrait after you minimized Angry birds?

  • @Arysse1 If you launch Angry Birds in portrait it automatically goes to landscape then returns to platform when you close.

  • how much of a difference does it make on PDFs? im thinking of overclocking because my touchpad can be pretty slow when loading a 40 MB file. btw, thanks for the vid. really gave me an insight on debating.

  • how much of a difference does it make on PDFs? im thinking of overclocking because my touchpad can be pretty slow when loading a 40 MB file.

  • can u do 1.7 vs 1.5 or 1.2 please..!

  • anyone test the battery life difference between 1.5 & 1.2GHz?

  • Maybe the third app was launched for the first time in the 1.5ghz for the fisrt try ?

  • @joel337 You are probably right.

  • Is it safe overclocking for the touchpad?

  • @MLQ45 I read articles that the true rating of the Touchpad's processor IS 1.5Ghz. Rumors that HP underclocked it to improve battery life. However if you overclock to 1.7Ghz I would say it's still a moderate risk but only if you play games or movies for a long period. There is an automatic shut off of the uberkernel if it gets too hot.

  • What's the difference in battery life?

  • @icomputered At 1.5Ghz it's very difficult to tell the difference. I still get a day and a half battery life. or about 10 hours on a busy day. People don't realize that a faster processor means you get work or tasks done a little quicker so there might be less usage daily.

  • Can you do a 1.7 vs 1.2 and a 2.0 vs 1.2

  • Great video, but the difference is too small, rather just go for 1.7ghz or none

  • @vd853 Let me know how it goes when you overclock yours to 1.7Ghz. I'm just a little worried about battery life.

  • how much battery life do you lose on overclock

  • @fataldesain At 1.5Ghz it's very difficult to tell the difference. I still get a day and a half battery life. or about 10 hours on a busy day. People don't realize that a faster processor means you get work or tasks done a little quicker so there might be less usage daily.
