  • damn i remember listening to this shit in ninth grade rolling white owls and garcia vegas being blowed as fuck wishing i could get down on a track with these niggas and wishing the girls in school looked like foxy brown

still real true g shit fuck all this new aged fake shit just listening to this shit again reminds me that these niggas aint really rappin

  • Damn I'm feeling this beat ..... who produced this?

  • @thedarkchild86 not Dre, but in fact Curt Gowdy & Trackmasters

  • @hiphopheadkingmag good looking out ....

  • Its fucked up how nas kicked out cormega!

  • @riddley39

Theres a lot more to the story then that, Mega went to jail for Nas... Don't want to get into all that right now... Nas a true bitch and Mega will always be superior to a bitch nigga like that.

  • @yukmouth23jayrich23 Not sure about that to be honest infact thats the first ive ever heard of that, you must have the inside scope or sumfin, i just heard it was a fall out over some bulshit, but maybe your right and if you are he definately is a bitch for that coz cormega never really made it and was defo second to nas for skill if not the same, that must burn!

  • @riddley39

Cormega talked about it in the Who I Am dvd.

  • Check Killah Priest and Cannibus on a trak called "bop ya head to this"... Bis shits all over the trak worse than here believe it or not

  • those who hate must not know their music to well!!!!!

  • "In fact, perhaps you should quit rap, instead of always

Tryin to diss back, cause niggas keep tellin you that your shit's wack"

I like Canibus' old stuff, but this is probably the most ironic thing I've heard.

  • Damn! This track is sick....Been listening to this shit since it first came out. Holla from Greece yaw!!

  • THE GOD and AZ need to buddy up and make an album

  • canibus is going to kill dizaster

  • Canibus vs dizaster june 10th out in LA

  • Bis is like Hilary Swank in "Million Dollar Baby". So good, such a cold heart killer, that nobody wants to do business with him because they'll look really bad after they lose to him. Swank wasn't a best-seller allstar either, but she was definitely the best of her kind, and that what made others shun away from her eventually. Bis is like that, too.

All hail the Beast from the East

  • Go list to Hip Hop Top Brass, now tell me bis ain't still the illest, too many snakes out there telling us who the best is, Wayne is the best.. really America, that's what were at now, Wayne.... SMH

  • When Canibus first came out I actually thought he was going to be the Greatest rapper in the Hip Hop field.

  • @051290ma He is and will always be for the real heads man C'mon, you are the one who fell off son and didn't stay up with the kid... they got you all twisted up, they won't even respond to him....

  • f&ck my record label i appear courtesy of myself> never knew how sick canibus was always blew him off cus my boy em ripped him up but canibus sick too, respect

  • @TYJENNER Canibus shit on Em

  • @Corleonex3 in fact nobody won the beef, it was "the most threatical rap beef of all time" as canibus himself said

  • @ZebreI10I I agree it was but it all comes down to opinion I think Canibus won but either way Eminem didn't shit on Bis.

  • ONE DISLIKE HUH_ DAMNN__ ALWAYS A FAGGOT HATER OUTTHERE

  • @milesherrera333 Word its like this fag goes through all the hip hop and dislikes it

  • Comment removed

  • Damnn canibus starts it off hard

  • One of the dopest hooks ever too.

  • MAAAAN..... THIS DAT MOTHA FUKIN SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT....YA HEARD ME....GAT DAMN...!! TIMELESS.......FUK WAT U HEARD...!!..don't repeat this kids...

  • Canibus set this shit off!

  • one of the 90's classic songs with one of the nicest freestyle mc's ever

  • chhhyyeaaa

  • running bull will hit u harder than running back---goooodddaaamn

  • At this point canibus was hangin with fugees, def squad, dogg pound, lost boyz and the firm. Yet when shit went down with LL only wyclef spoke up or backed him. Everyone else left him to die. But he was the best lyricist I ever heard touch the mic apart from black thought.

  • @tech4156 He still is one of the best...he STILL makes music..

  • Canibus vrs prolly was one of the best I've ever heard . Im flabberghasted

  • At the time this was bis peak. It was daring that NAS, AZ and Nature dared to follow the track after he ripped his mic. They did the best thing and gave their best. Still you look bad after bis has done his. That's why everyone want's him to end the track.

  • @TheBusinix please...a lot mc's would kill bis on a track :pun, big,em,jay, billy danze, nas i could go on but i have shit to do

  • iIF I WAS NAS I WOULDA TOLD BIS TO JUS KEEP THIS 4 HIMSELF... I THINK THAT'S A REASON WHY ALOTTA PEOPLE DON'T WANNA COLLAB WITH BIS THEY DON'T WANNA LOOK STUPID.

  • canibus murdered this!

  • Canibus' verse should be rap 101 for novices man...

  • Ill shit

  • RIP Cormega! woulda spat some real shit on this track!!!

  • Bis ripped a mudhole n this hardbody, 4 realz!!!

  • when I say CAN-I you say BUS rap is dead R.I.P homie a good thing won't last forever it was good while it lasted u was like my mistress piece

  • Wait, why didnt Foxy hit this joint instead of just being ambiance? Shoulda just kicked Nature's ass out. Jungle is weak shit too. Canibus can't be on tracks with humans.

  • As good as Canibus was back at this time, AZ held his own against him. This song goes so hard!

  • I used to LOVE this album back in the day.The Firm is one of those slept on albums. And as far as Canibus... gongrats to you brotha', you've done it again. Best verse on the track.

  • i can see why nas didnt have a verse on this canibus was going for heads in his early days cant say he ever lost on his features

  • @VADY2B Nas was not scared. He was trying to give Nature shine.

  • @union410 really bruh.... Nas ran from this track like a fat kid....

  • @palerhymer Yeah cause fat kids run. #FAIL.. Nas was not scared of this track. You sound foolish. Nas is one of the greatest of all time.

  • @union410 Ayo its a "track" ie exercise so the fat kid wants to part of it (field)... FAIL, c'mon son SMH, maybe I need to dumb it down for ya? Your interpretive skill need work. The fact that you missed that is proof of why ignorant people say Bis uses big words and don't say shit.. Nas is one of the greats right below Bis... IMO, that is the beauty, its opinion brother, I respect yours and having this convo, real! When RTJ 00 drops, at least give it a listen cause I know cats won't buy it.

  • @palerhymer "so the fat kid wants to part of it" What? English please. What fat kid wants to be on a track? And Canibus never in his life is better than Nas. Sorry buddy. Nas is a much better song maker and stays on the subject better than Canibus. Canibus still doesn't have a classic album. Nas has two.

  • @union410 "so the fat kid wants no part of it..." my bad on the typo. If you don't thin 2000 BC and Rip the Jacker aren't classics, we just disagree. Canibus has 15+ classic freestyles, how many does Nas have. Canibus is releasing a 10,000 bar infinite rhyme that will expose the corruption in our lost culture and this music industry, so it ain't just albums yo, this ain't the NFL playa! This is fun, I enjoy the back and forth, we can all learn from eachother my brother!

  • @palerhymer I could call 2000BC a classic. A stretch if you ask me because it wasn't topical enough, but Rip the Jacker was not a classic. And Illmatic and Stillmatic > 2000BC and Rip the Jacker. And that's not even close. And Nas never needed so called freestyles. Canibus is a rhymer no doubt, but his song making ability is not where Nas' is. "What Comes Around" is better than any Canibus song. Canibus has been salty since Wyclef. He's mad that lyrics don't sell. He should get over it!

  • @palerhymer And we can learn. Have you heard of Hopsin? If not, merry christmas. Oh, and peep King of the Dot battles if you haven't already. Watch Pat Stay vs Marvwon.

  • @palerhymer Don't get me wrong, Canibus is great, and I've heard way more than you think I have, but he is not better than Nas. I don't even think he's better that Tech N9ne if you want to go underground. Not better than Eminem either. Well, maybe Eminem today but not Eminem in his prime.

  • @union410 Cool playa will do, but c'mon son thought you were a Nas fan its "what goes round," yes one of my all time favs from God's Son! Ill song, but does it beat Poet Laureate 2.... not in my book, but hey whatever much love and respect brother! I peep Hopsin, dude is sick! I will check the other 1 too.

  • @palerhymer LMAO you know what I meant! I know that song word for word... Poet Laureate II is crazy. My favorite Canibus song is Pine Comb Poem. That's my shit.

  • @union410 Bllaahahaa, yeah I knew, ha. Yes PCP (funny acronym) is so dope, fuck a chorus!!!!! Peace bruh!

  • @palerhymer Honestly tho as great as Canibus verse, AZ's verse is just as good in my opinion. AZ spits about that street shit, its like you can vision what he's saying.

  • @union410 For the record I love NAS!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @palerhymer Nas is great. Best of all time. He is tied with Eminem in my opinion.

  • nas murdered part 2 of this

  • canibus did kill this, too bad eminem kinda killed him :/

  • @outsideshot40 eminem didnt kill shit

  • @outsideshot40

    When did this happen?

  • @outsideshot40 Eminem is a fucking faggot

  • @outsideshot40 Em's diss was weak as hell

  • @outsideshot40

That little white nerdy virgin never even came close to killing Canibus.

  • @outsideshot40 None of them killed none of them. Both disses were wack.

  • canibus murks this.......you get clapped bringing the wrong raps to combat

  • That Nigga Said, Put You In The Figure Four & Break Your Thorax..

  • Running Bull will hit you harder than Running Back!! Classic Line!!

  • GOOD MUSIC!!!!!! <3

  • Cannibus...is so slept on smh its sad BEAST MODE on this track...'My intelligence beings where your peaks at"

  • AZ spit some fire too...just sayin.

  • I grew up this side A side B yea 1997 was ill kid yo if you had the beginning with the call from Sosa to Hector it would have been mad ill son

  • canibus>Nas,2pac, biggie,Pun,Big L and other people that grabbed a mic in Hip Hop

  • who made this beat???!!! #MillionDollarQuestion

  • @yungrayne Dre

  • @yungrayne Dre didn't produce it it was Curt Gowdy & Trackmasters

  • Canibus went apeshit on this one

  • You ever dance with the devil under the pale moonlight?"

  • ive danced with the devil a couple times.. word life

  • Everyone giving props to Canibus for his verse on this track has real taste in hip hop. Good work everyone.

  • :97 hot mentality,,

  • Nas is amazing but he was smart not to try to compete with Canibus in his full prime

  • @gtownsenda Nas was more of a conservative rapper - No one can compare to his level of diversity, dynamism - it aint hard to tell is one of the most unorthodox songs in rap history. I dont think they can match up - Cannibus should have competed with Big L or Punisher if anything cuz of their goal as rappers.

  • canibus should be recognized as one of the best ever! at least real hip-hop headz know what's up.

i always thought he would blow up after he destroyed ll cool j

  • @Funkdogg You mean after LL destroyed him.

  • @hennylo68 na i think he was riqht the first time

  • @Funkdogg people are clouded by the beef with em. but he's defo 1 of the best hip hop emcees to ever grace the mic!!

  • @TheKarateAnt 4 sure he is. he deserves more recognition in my opinion. but some of the best rappers out there are not known by the masses.

  • this nigga ripped it!!!! "the ref said chill black"!!!!

  • I can't remember how many people I showed this Canibus verse to, I turned people into hip hop fans by making em listen to this haha. Only problem w this song is Nas should've had a verse. 1

  • @DaProlifik1reaLyrics Canibus, AZ & Nas on a track together is something the world is not ready for

  • canibus destroyed this like bus says u cant shine on a track that features him

  • LEGENDARY PERFORMANCE.

  • CANIBUS KILLED IT!!!!RIPPED THIS BEAT TO PIECES!!!

  • nas is the best, but i think Canibus is better my a lil.

  • Canibus from '97-99 was a BEAST!!!!

  • @malibu631 Canibus still is...go listen to one of his newest tracks called "Lyrical Noir".

  • @malibu631 Canibus a beast from 1974 to present day man, C'mon don't pull a J Clone, listen to Lyrical Law, he fell off, that statement alone is proof of Illumanati...

  • @palerhymer Whoa... J. Cole is great. If you can't appreciate his addition to hip hop you need to kill yourself.

  • @union410 Dude, never said he wasn't a step in the right direction, but he doesn't recognize any of Bis's music past 2000 BC. If you don't think Rip The Jacker, Micclub, For Whom The Beat Tolls and C of Tranquility aren't better than J Cole's album, they got you zombied kid thats real..... I love J Cole's stuff before he used Paula Abdul's flow to get a hit... SMH, same shit different laxitive. Cole is kid making music for teens Bis is a beast making music for human kind...

  • @palerhymer Canibus was great back in the day, nowadays he just uses a bunch of one/two syllable rhymes with a robotic flow. J Cole's debut album was way better than Bis' last 5 CDs or so. Lyrical Law was disappointing.

  • @palerhymer Have you heard Friday Night Lights? If you have, and think J. Cole is rapping for kids then we don't need to have this conversation because you aren't thinking clearly. J. Cole is a really nigga rapping about real nigga shit. Every day struggles instead of Human Genomes and the density of the ocean. Canibus is and was raw, but he raps just to rap, J. Cole is rapping to spread his message. And he produces 100% of his own material. And he is not hating on other rappers like Bis does.

  • @palerhymer Don't get me wrong, I love Canibus. His addition to the game is great. But he's a hater to even go at J. Cole. Canibus is like 40 years old dissing J. Cole. That shit was wack to me. He was wack for dissing Eminem too. He was wack for dissing Blinky Blink, and Camron and Blink whipped his ass for it. Remember that? J. Cole was a big Canibus fan too. Nigga hating just to hate. With a TERRIBLE diss song I might add. I wish J. Cole responded and roasted his old ass.

  • @palerhymer Oh and J. Cole didn't even need a hit. He was #1 on the Billboard without a #1 single. He is large because of his fans. His fans love him because of how real he is. Man J. Cole is great. For him to even be talked about in this thread shows his greatness. I'm 31 years old and have been a hip hop since 12. J. Cole is one of the greatest to ever do it.

  • @union410 Put out a few mix tapes and one commercial album that sold what Can-I-Bus did and now you wanna crown him? I bought his album, I just want more out of hip hop than the same old shit mainstream be pushing. I don't think you get Bis' message man, but the blue pill if you want to. Dude Cole act like Bis ain't alive like he didn't even make the infinite rhyme, doesn't even recognize Rip The Jacker album, he don't do for sales he does it to further the culture push it to new places.

  • how in the world can you compare LL cool GAY to canibus when it comes to lyrics?

  • @murdacityadabraka LL was hard as hell in his early days. Mommas gonna knock you out had one of the hardest flows of the time, Listen to it. Really. He went too mainstream, and Canibus won the battle because LL was makin songs for girls at that point... You guys should be focusing on Nature's verse anyways

  • DAM SO MANY NY RAPPER THAT SPIT RAW SHIT...

  • Big Pun would DESTROY this beat!

  • Eminem Who??????

  • Comment removed

  • @fjahmad If you equate album sales with skills then Master P would be considered better than Tupac. so #SITYOUASSDOWN. I'm from Detroit. don't get it twisted Emgot skills. But the bar was always low for a white rapper, so if a white rapper could rap even average he would be a major success. Shit Royce Da 5'9 & Jada Kiss is equally as lyrical as Em some argue even better. So why aren't they as successful? Because there held to a higher standard. So again #SITYOASSDOWN

  • @Saladin2999 couldn't have said it better myself.

  • @Saladin2999 Eminem's nice and so's cannibus.I'm not sittin my ass down EVER. U stand up for your rapper, I'll stand up for mine...

  • @Saladin2999 2pac is actually the 2nd highest selling rapper of all time. sales dont equate lyrical skill they just show how popular the artist is. eminem is successfel because he came in 97/98 with something completely different that we havent seen before. its 2011 not 1911, him being white hardly affects his sales. most of lil waynes fans are white. there is no "best rapper" because everyone has different opinions. my favourite rapper is nas though.

  • @hiphopismydrug1 If you really believe his race is not a factor then your delusional. I'm not saying he's not talented. But what he has done and he even mentions it in his songs is take black music and excel further than most black artist with the same talent like Elvis Presely google. I'm from Detroit. Em original style was like Das Efx until Bizarre came back from New Jersey where he hung around Redman & others, if you notice they have the same subject style Em just put his spin on it

  • @hiphopismydrug1 I agree there is no best rapper, because we all have our opinions. People say Pac was the deepest rapper. I say Killah Priest was deeper

  • @Saladin2999 yeah, and there are so many categories to judge a rapper on its impossible to pinpoint the best.

  • @fjahmad who you ?

  • @qBzFiNesTBiGsB1 mannn, I got luv for Cannibus. But I'm a big eminem fan so I defend him...I'm done.

  • Comment removed

  • @fjahmad i dont do this internet qanqsta shit pussy

  • CLASSIC TRACK HOOD NIGGAS FROM GREENVILLE SC KNOW WHAT IT IS WEST. G STAND UP!

  • Let me explain how I maintain thresh holes to pain

I walk across the sun barefoot looking for shame

I rearrange your rib cage like a 12 gauge at close range

And change the position of your frame

From 1997 to 2000, Canibus was the best punchline rapper.

  • @KTD82291

It's "looking for shade", not "looking for shame". He's talking about how he's walking across the surface of the sun, with no shoes or socks on, looking for a shadow. Just hilarious! When i first heard this, many years ago, i was literally laughing out loud. For me, all great lyricists have this in commen. They make me laugh...

  • @Troublesome2008

Ah fuck, typo. I meant shade. But definitely, Canibus never does fail to impress me.

  • im so glad they let canibus go first he set the table so right! every one after him had to go the fuck in! elevated the energy on the whole track.

  • nature shoulda never made it in, that was cormegas spot!!!!!!!

  • nature shoulda never made it in, that was cormegas spot!!!!!!!

  • @kslick801 nature ripped it homie. U don't think so u need to hear the verse again

  • heard this shit yesterday on pandora while i was getting tatted ; hadnt heard it in a while.

"fuk my record label i appear courtesy of myself"

  • CANIBUS CAN-I-BUS

  • @rightbackatyouable Nah man, truthfully I honestly feel that Canibus is nice in all, but all his verses sound like battle raps, and they're repetitive and he goes at them in the same way. Not to mention I think THIS verse is better than the beast of the east... only slightly though. Canibus is a battle rapper, who can make verses, but he can't eat INS on his best day. EVER.

  • @MichaelSuess INS spits battle rap too....his opening verse on Triumph was that of a battle, his verse on Guru's above the cloud was also a battle rhyme.....BIS' shit r for the most part repetitive I agree but I also think he is capable of eating any MC on any giving day....well that's my opinion.

  • @rightbackatyouable I disagree, I think Inspectah Deck's verse in Triumph is the best verse of all time.

  • @MichaelSuess i think that Rugged Man in song Uncommon Valor has best verse :)

  • @021MaRkrs You'll change your mind after you hear the 2nd verse by Pharoahe Monch on "Prisoners of War", check it out, you won't be disappointed.

  • i remember being 16 and rollin deep to this in my whip louder than fuck not giving a fuck ,rollin outside all the clubs north, south, east and west london on a saturday night lol good ol'days man shiiiit 'beam me back to da 90tys scotty' lmao

  • Smfh @ anyone that says ANYONE takes this besides Canibus he CLEARLY lays down the tracks and then Rips the beat to shreds " yall niggas is wack rapping over microphone FEED BACK, my intelligence begins where YOURS peaks at.."

  • "put u in a figure four break ya thorax jump off the top turnbuckle and land on ya back till i hear it snap and crackle" OOOOOOOOOOOO this niggas a problem

  • AZ kill all !!!

  • cot damn cannibus ripped it
