  • What kind of juice did you use?

  • @uptownbronze I think I used some sort of blueberry juice that Randy found at the grocery store. To be honest, I wouldn't do it exactly the same again. I think I'd pick a different juice. ~Amanda

  • Thanks for the Video, we have Diabetics in the family, so I was looking for a low sugar option.

  • Good morning Amanda! Thank you for getting back to me. Are there different brands of pectin and if so, what do you recommend?

  • Wow, thank you for the quick reply! I am looking forward to making your jam. Would this make-up also work with other berries?

  • @bugsprettyblue yes, and actually the pectin that I bought had specific instructions inside for all kinds of jams. Most of them are pretty much the same though. ~Amanda

  • I am interested in making my own jam, a healthier version that tastes good too. I have never canned anything in my life so please pardon my ignorance. I am using this video as a model to make my jam. When filling the jars, it looked runny, does it thicken up after in the jar or do I cook to desired thickness? HELP!!! :-)

  • @bugsprettyblue it thickens once the jars cool. there is a way to test the consistency of it while you are making it but I haven't done that... you might be able to see that one someone else's video... but honestly, making jam was so much easier than I thought it would be. ~Amanda

  • was your pectin also free of sweeteners? I bought what I thought was no sugar needed, natural pectin and it turned out to have dextrose in it, which is mainly derived from corn. Not exactly what I was after. Perhaps there's another brand?

  • @mamastaci I'm at work at the moment, I'll have to check once I'm home. Will get back to you... hope I remember ... lol....

  • Great video! I want to get to a local you-pick blueberry farm this week ($.90 a lb) with the kids and I am going to try this recipe if we do. Anything with less sugar is good in my book!

  • @Michigansnowpony Wow .90/lb that's cheap. We paid like $30 for 15lbs.

  • Mmmm looks great!

  • OMGosh.... that looks so good!

I wish I could taste them...

Now I want to can some jam.

  • @badboyorganics It was easy. You should do it!

  • mmm tasty! ;)

  • Looks very good I just put ten pounds of blueberries in the freezer, plan to make some jam later.

  • @dalecalder2003 We have a freezer full of them too. ;)

  • aww i really wanted to see the aftermath.

  • @beetlebomb1 Perhaps we can do a video on us eating toast with the jam on it? Would that be ok?

  • @GettingThereGreen That would be wonderful :)

  • Yummy yummy......5*
