Phantasy Star Online Episode 1: Forest Boss

Oh, sure, it's easy when you have a gun. I've been playing PSO on Dreamcast tonight, and I was having the worst bad luck streak with that damned dragon. Ack! Of course, I'm playing a Force character with a lightsaber, so I have to get up close. I've been stomped once or twice, and killed twice because the creature fell on me...ack! Good fun.

I remember the first time I played this game, I flew through the forst areas and without a thought in me mind, I ended up in front of this Dragon. That scared the shit out if of me. lol

I found this game in my room yesterday when i was cleaning it. I forgot how much i loved that game and when in a burst of nostalgia i went to play it i remembered i'd lent my gamecube controllers to one of my friends a while back and never got them back :( I'm so getting more just to play this game again lol

if your a hunter its way harder and when the dragon falls it crushes u and then if it hits you again with anything your dead

@CoolChick111100 I usually played as rangers but I liked hunters too. I found bosses easier as rangers as a rule but it was better being a hunter for the ruins boss. Any other class took way more levels to get enough health to survive one attack

ah man, multiplayer never saved data, so my friends and i fought our way to this guy every single day. i still have their characters on my memory card, though im not friends with them anymore i could never delete those characters...

but now, i fight the dragon alone. it's fun, to be able to come back to bosses over and over again. provides good EXP lol

Autogun is amazing with normal mode. I use Railgun and M&S VISE with very hard mode.

Personally i loved the offline PSU game, the online side was a real let down, i'd choose this game any day of the week

Um question? Every time I ply episode one and save, I have to do the forest level area ALL over again, does this happen with everyone? Like Ill still have the same level as I did the last time I played, but have to do ALLLLL the levels all over again/

Uhm... that's the way the game works. The entire area resets itself when you leave it, so that you can do it again and possibly get items from it.

I assume you mean if you get to the caves after the forest you'll only have Forest1 and Cave1 available? That's the way game works, if so.

go to the princible, talk to him, then when you check the warp it should be at the stage after the last boss you killed, so if you killed the forest lvl boss (dragon) the warp will give you the opition to go to the cave

You guys are ALL wrong!!! If you can't gain entrance to the caves, that means that you never activated the beacon device in Forest 2, which is in every level and REQUIRED to gain entrance to the level above and the ruins at the end of the game. So all you have to do is touch the beacon, and you can go to caves, then touch the beacon etc. for mines and ruins. Hope this helps out ^^

no, thats incorrect actually lol. those beacons are only for the ruins. after you defeat the boss of the forest, all you have to do is talk to the principal and it will let you play the caves even after turning off the game. trust me ive been glued to PSO for over 5 years lol. and if you dont trust me, go try it yourself =p do a forest run on a new character without activating the beacon, kill the dragon, and talk to the principal and reload the game. =D

A while ago my friend and i started playing again after about 4 months ago, =\ But now we can't stop playing him and i play hard mode in multiplayer to get "Special weapons" like DB's Sader and Musashi. I'm trying to find a Kaldbolg. lol

but it would be smarter to get under the dragon and shoot at the legs

and when he goes underground, you can also go to your item pack to bring up a bigger map so you can see the whole area :]
