I would love the sheet for this, btw you played it exellent, seen your other videos aswell and you are great. Does anyone know where you can get the sheet?
I love this!! Great job!! I love this piece so much. You really bring the spirit of it to life!! Great job on playing all those arpeggios so cleanly, too!! ;)
Loved your transcription AND performance. Did you say your were sharing your sheet music transcription? If so how can I get it!!! Thanks for sharing your talent!
I like you already, but I'd love you if you'd make a tutorial! You have amazing fingerskills, and by making one simple little tutorial, you could share that talent with de whole world!! 5/5
was this audio picked up by the cams microphone? If so, this is a fake. The external cam mc would pick up resonances from the room. Sounds like a recording with a stereo spread on the piano.
I stand corrected. Incredible performance!! Would like to see another take with spotlight on keyboard though, to see fingering technique. Also would remove all doubt.
awesome! i tried learning this, but then my piano teacher told me that john williams probably just gave the part to two separate players (since they're not on camera any way), but now i'm re-inspired!!
yes it's me... i didn't like the way the camera bleached out my face with the lights on, it's a really basic camera and i can't manually adjust lighting levels
Unfortunately at a certain level of difficulty it becomes impractical and the best thing to do (if you can't read sheet music) is to play a MIDI file on a virtual keyboard (if you have Cakewalk or Logic or something, or else on a light up keyboard) and slow it way down.
I tried learning it from the E.T. piano score book as first published.. I found that some of the notes are mis-printed or incorrect after comparing it to the version as played in the end credits of the movie.. did you find that too?
Excellent performance by the way... this is by far one of the most difficult pieces I've ever seen on the printed page in my 25 years of playing piano..
I didn't know that this particular piece was ever published as a piano score. I do notice differences between the original soundtrack and the concert versions though... I don't like some of the changes in the piano arrangements and I like to put them back the way I heard them in the orchestral version
please man do a tutorial, i got the music of u but it makes no sence to me, it sounds better the way u play it, just do a vid with an over head view so all us confused lot can stop/pause/play and learn
thanks. yeah i had to learn it, E.T. is the best-scored film ever. EVER. you would think after a quarter of a century someone would have outdone it but no, John Williams is still the king and this piece still rules. i learned it from the soundtrack.
Is it weird that I understood exactly the part you meant? The part you're talking about is in a different section of the score. This is the part that goes "Du du du du du du du du du du du DU DU".
well done, sir. I always wondered if there was any sheet music floating around for that piano solo in the ending credits...I'll be grateful leech #254, and please if you can, send me your sheets. Cheers!
I am a piano teacher & performer. After watching E.T. earlier today, I finally noticed the beautiful piano part played in the end credit, googled, and found your site. Awesome transcribing & beautiful playing. I spent a little time trying to reproduce the part myself...yet I would love to have the sheet music for me & my students. How do I send you an email to request this? Thanks.
Hmmm, I can play this but not that well, and I always get lost on the end of the second part. I thought the original had two pianos playing. I wish you could've brightened the room a bit because you do cast doubt in my mind. Nicely done though, if it is you playing the whole of it then congrats.
the piano music in ET can definitely be played on one instrument, i have heard (but not confirmed) that Williams played the piano part himself in the original recording
excuse me .. I just thought, its too brilliant, it cant be real. Do you know what people are able to do with a computer.. so I thought its kinda fake :)
Its amazing!!!! (a little too fast during the last 15 sec.-I think)
how long did it take you to learn dis cuz i got da sheet music like 2 weeks ago and I can barely play 4 measures on da right hand it is such a challenging song
i can't remember, i think it took a few weeks... i don't know if this will help, but you can try practicing all the triplet groups as chords (slow of course), and when you have it down fairly well try breaking them up (it's convenient that almost all of the arps span 1 octave)
Dude that is absolutely phenomenal!! I am a selftaught piano player tryin to learn to play this... from what i can tell, the bass is pretty simple but the treble is mad hard.... I am SOO impressed!
Any advice for me???... I know music theory very well so dont feel like you need to talk down to me or anything...
That was really awesome! I just watched the movie, less than 2 minuets ago, with my niece, and yours sounds so flawless. Do you have the sheet music to this?
thank you, yes i noticed that a performance of the E.T. end title was conspicuously absent on YouTube, and it has got to be one of the most classic and recognizable piano cues in motion picture history
for some reason i can't reply to your PM - I didn't have a score , I think I slowed the track right down to identify the notes. Or I might have found a MIDI file on the net.
you continue to impress me with your piano music!! great job!!

i can't remember, i think it took a few weeks... i don't know if this will help, but you can try practicing all the triplet groups as chords (slow of course), and when you have it down fairly well try breaking them up (it's convenient that almost all of the arps span 1 octave)

i was thinking to myself... yeah ill learn abit more then ill post my version up and ill be the only one on youtube to play it...
and then i go and find this....
