  • What the Highest's light hath filled

Never shall in night be veiled,

    What the Highest's holy nature

For his dwelling shall have chosen

Never shall in night be veiled,

What the Highest's light hath filled.

  • The phrases are not broken, but in a Hocket-style and the phrase not being build simply on "line" but the incremental intensity of words and sequences on the motif....i think your judgement is to modern on that, so dun say people do not know Bach, i think you also do not know J.S.! YOu know, hans172!?

  • nice voice, tempo too slow though, plus the singer doesn't make any lines or build-ups taht last longer than a bar. There is absolutely no tension in this performance. The singer is clearly educated to sing 19th-century repertoire, and he should stick to that. He doesn't know how to sing Bach at all, in spite of his pretty voice.
