  • His bowels tense... no false moves here...

  • Where can you download this movie?

  • Green tea on my motherfucking keyboard!

  • Albus is a powerful beast indeed.

  • Brittania.

  • "'Shhhh,' says Dumbledore to the baby, and 'shhhhh,' he says to the lady."

  • veritable weapon of the gods. holy wow.

  • this guy would make the greatest dm ;)

  • 131 people had to wait in the frickin car

  • anyone who likes this should search thetapesqueens, they did AMAZING dubs of the hp movies!

  • when i watched all of them on abc i kept thinking of how he would comentary it.

  • no offense to anyone, but brad neely is funnier than sedaris. creased comics!

  • @NoNoDigUpStupid creased comics for the win! babycakes up in this! neely isn't a human so him vs sedaris is just unfair anyway.

  • funniest series of videos on youtube, by far

  • 130 Obviously are Cybermen and have no sense of humor.

  • This is the draft version of Neely's work.

    /watch?v=ok5ibUzjkOo

    For the final edit.

  • best timing ever on 'wait in the frikin car if he has to'!

  • have you ever thought about dubbing over happy days?

  • What the crap! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!

  • this is the greatest thing i have ever heard

  • Hahahaa, this is funny, but your voice is so annoying. lmao.

  • This is funny to the point of pain. Awesome, awesomeness.

  • his sky leopard lmao

  • i love brad needly so much its not even funny

  • lol "sorcerer's stone", such a fail dub

  • "a huge... man."

  • I feel like this kind of thing is best watched on a huge projector screen with the volume high and with a large group of Harry Potter fans :) Watching alone isn't the same :P

  • lmao.

  • Watching tip: don't drink or eat while you watch this. You will choke.

  • @peanutbutterswirl I am actually eating right now, Should I be very afraid?

  • df! ready set go!

  • is this the original?

  • Do you do birthday parties?

  • Make Movie 2!!

  • THE BABY!

  • Is this suppose to be funny? >< or just random?

  • BUT LO!

  • Hard castle McCormick!!! Lol

  • Um, this does not sound like Brad Neely. Did someone rerecord this?

  • @StarlightDragon I'm 99% sure it's still him, but the audio files you can download from illegalart or wherever are superior in audio quality and in delivery/couple of better formed lines. If you're used to that audio version, this one is barely sufficient (but it saves you the trouble of havign to sync yourself, so I still check in every now and then)

  • @jaketheweasel Huh, interesting. It did sound quite a bit different form the original. Thanks for the tip.

  • @StarlightDragon Dude, none of Brad Neely's characters sound like Brad Neely...

  • @tehUBERn00blet That's not what I meant. I have a copy of the original Wizard people on audio tape. I got it when he first released it. It sounds nothing like this. It's similar but obviously different. I am not sure if this was just another recording of him doing it at a different time or somebody covering his work.

  • @StarlightDragon Hey man.

There are two versions of Wizard People. Both by Neely.

One is a draft, the other the final edit (sometimes called the second draft). This one is the first draft. You can tell by the "fuzz" in the audio. Also, in the final edit, the delivery is often much smoother. You can find either of these versions via torrents or on youtube. They are both quite similar though in terms of script.

  • @nikolas88 Ohh, so that's what it is. Thanks for the information

  • This was freshman year at W&M :)

  • lol

  • Omg Its Hagar the Horrible

  • " 'Shhhh,' says Dumbledore to the baby and 'shhhh,' he says to the lady." This is too awesome! I loved it from the first time I watched it during fall term of my freshman year of college and I love it every time I watch it xD

  • This never gets old.

  • sky panther <3

  • This should be a live event.

  • this is fucking excellent

  • "He walks with dignity despite his age and his attire."

    Heheheheheh.

  • Brad Neely needs to do this with the last movie now.

  • HE SEES A CAT THAT HE KNOWS

  • I like to think that this is what would happen if David Sedaris showed up to the recording of This American Life, hungover off a three day tequila binge, and just said to the guys, "Fuck it, I'm doing Harry Potter today."

  • At times he sounds like a preacher

  • This is the first time I've ever disliked a video on Youtube. . . ?

  • @Pielettie This should be an example of the greatness that can be found on YouTube.

  • @Drillur

I don't think you understood me.

  • Nah. I'm pretty sure that the lack of enjoyment wouldn't make one too 'different".

The "dislike/like" feature, as with prettymuch anything, merely indicates the like and/or dislike of the people driving by.

It's the kind of thing you like, if you like that kind of thing.

If you don't like it, you probably didn't come by here in the first place.

Millions of viewers can agree... or not.

  • @aimprofane sadly, not that i know of. I don't think Neely ever intended even *this* one to take off! Personally, I'd love to see other movies done in this fashion, even though it'll never become super popular. It's so hard to describe: a redubbing of an adapted film by a narrator reading a fake version of the audiobook version synced to the movie? Just try getting a random passerby to wrap their head around that concept!

  • Why did they need to change the title of the story for American Audiences? .-.

  • @kateroonistudios What are you talking about?

  • @wilrk The original story is called: HP and the Philosopher's stone, but for American audiences they renamed it 'the Sorcerer's stone' .-.

  • @kateroonistudios Oh, that. I heard it was because they didn't think American children would be interested if it was titled, "Philosopher's Stone". Depending on their age, the children would either not know what it meant, or would expect it to be about philosophy. The title "Sorcerer's Stone" would attract American audiences because they would know it was about magic. That's just what I've heard, and I think the title change is a little degrading, but oh well.

  • @kateroonistudios , @wilrk is right. They thought children would not understand a Philosopher's Stone so they changed it to Sorcerer's Stone, along with other things. For example in Philosopher's Stone Harry and Ron are wearing jumpers ( in America that is a little girl's dress) so in Sorcerer's stone they changed them to sweaters. J.K. Rowling didn't have a say in the change really but she said if she did, she would have kept it Philosopher's Stone even for the American version. Hope it helps!

  • are there any other dear reader "books?"

  • his bowels tense, no false moves here!

  • Hahaha, he sounds like the principal from problem child.

  • Dumbledore excepts the swaddled child like the delicate button of an atomic bomb lol

  • I want more! Will he ever do the next movie like this one??

  • He is clearly a powerful beast, and walks with dignity, despite his age and attire.

  • Magical deeds are afoot here, dear readers; magical darkness...A MUST

  • HAGAR THE HORRIBLE

  • "His bowels tense. No false moves here."

  • Neely fucking kills me, man. I just hurt myself laughing.

  • I want this guy to read all my books to me. Even Shakespeare. At least this time it'll be interesting.

  • @LouiPetz Really? Shakespeare? Because that could happen. Search YouTube for "Babycakes sees a play"

  • Ive had this on my zune, iphone, ipod video, dvd, cd, mp3, usb flash drive, and watched on youtube. I still think its the funniest fucking thing

  • "You may mistake him for a giant harry truck"

  • @SaintVicious I mean "giant HAIRY truck" although I suppose either works in this case.

  • THE BABY

  • LMFAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @blueicing301 No sir this is Harry Potter for those with a sense of humor.

  • @blueicing301 this is Harry Potter for people who are so fucking awesome they can't handle it.

  • I literally just peed my pants.

  • @thatspud

i dont know if i should like this or...

  • SO FUNNY

  • not the version of the audio i like... search "wizard people" and search for the "illegal-art" result

  • HIS BOWELS TENSE.

  • Paradox of babyness & power.

  • HARRY POTTER AND THE SORCERER"S STONE!!!!

  • I just cant understand how he can do this without laughing... true skill right there.

  • This thing is hilarious.

  • Professor Hardcastle McCormick. LOL.

  • Is this the first version or the second? When I first saw it his voice was less growly and more warbly, I think I prefer that one.

  • "Quote from the video"

    Lol

  • Harry, the wizard who is destined to vanquish all evil and if he so wishes brings it back again! LOL!!

  • "A giant, hairy truck"

    "His bowels tense"

"... this veritable weapon of the Gods, this parodox of babyness and power"

    Lol, this is so funny!

  • he is clearly a powerful beast, and walks with dignity, despite his age and attire.

    rofl

  • And now perched upon his sky leopard, Hagar seems at the end of an errand that almost bested him.

  • sweet moustache; willikers this is some good stuff. Too bad there isn't a version w/less F-bombs so that I could share it w/more people.

  • @MrYoungberg

    i hope your joking

  • Hardcastle McCormick! lol XD

  • Wait in the frickin car if you have to. xDDDDDDDDDD

  • So, my friends and I showed this in our residence hall lounge and we were all left writhing in pain from laughing so hard XD Great job, mate!

  • if you dont think this is funny there is something SERIOUSLY wrong with you.

i've seen this more times then the actual movie.

  • @SodaPopElectric ..i guess thers something wrong with me cuz this is stupid.. but then again so harry potter .....as a matter of fact im getting a headache from this guys voice while typing this...wait.....WHY AM I TYPING THIS.?

  • @ggallinsblood you're welcome, good sir.

  • So, someone has been listening to Steven Jesse Bernstein. Hmm.

  • Wizard People is one of my favorite things of all time, I think.

  • He sounds like Gilbert Gottfried.

  • @toms1266 That's exactly what I was thinking, I just didn't know the name of him.

  • "And if he so wishes, bring it back again." FAVORITE LINE.

  • "POWER-BABY" is the best first chapter title ever.

  • his master tells him to "wait in the freakin car if you need to!" lol

  • This guy kind of sounds like Gary Sinise...

  • You should make a narration for Chamber of Secrets! And also, one for the movie Gladiator. That would be awesome!

  • Hagar the Horrible, Professor Hardcastle, etc. lol!!

  • You know, I practically learned how to read with the Harry Potter series, but I find myself only able to watch the musicals and this masterpiece instead of reading the books (yet again), or watching the movies.

I mean, I've got the musicals and the newer version of this commentary burned to three DVDs....

    Is this normal?

  • This isn't just comedic geniousness, this is poetry!

  • paused at 0:55

My abs are already getting that laugh workout.

  • Yes. It's conspired amongst people who understand satire and comedy.

Your lack of enjoyment makes you different but not special.

  • Yeah, I'm not feeling this...

  • Is this some giant conspiracy? Because it seems I'm the only one who doesn't like this even though it's crap. Big hairy truck? Seriously? Big hairy truck is funny?

  • @TheBenjamins13 I'd suggest, since your claimed interest in the language is so profound, that you capitalize the names of things and places (such as "English") and refrain from responding in fragments (such as "Which is more.." and "Scratch that...") if you plan on correcting the grammar of others. Cheers!

  • @telephowned I'm ending this dick measuring contest now. I don't want to get into one of these inane and unending conversations where people pick apart each word in ever sentence, taking up space on a comments page with comments having nothing to do with the video. My intention was not to flaunt my "prowess" as a linguist, just to guide a lost soul to spelling salvation. So please telephowned, don't reply to this message because it would be a waste of my time, and yours. Cheers!

  • @CCTwang Whatever helps you save face, podna =)
