well pauls my old instructor and what an instructor he was, a true sports man and a great fighter, ive also trained with Steve who he was fighting, another determined bloke, and a decent fighter, at the end of the day, say what you want, its karate at the end of the day, like boxing once you get in there , your opponent is your enemy, and its a fight isnt it?

I would like to say something. I train with paul every monday,friday,saturday and sunday. and for your information he is a great instructor and if teaches us to fight good we'll do that at compettions so thats wot we'll do at the UK open Championships in feb. sooo bluh =]
I saw one of his students in action on Sunday at the south west open karate championships, I was sickened by one of his students who had severe lack of control after being warned for excess contact;at being a point down to a younger smaller boy he aimed a kick at his neck and left him being wheeled out of the centre on a spinal board, with neck brace and on oxygen-is this what we want for our kids!!!
This guy is showing a terrible example to his students and some seem to have got his message. The gloating of his mates in the background is sick. Why has he not been banned? What about self control and respect for your fellow karatika?

i would like to say that both my kids are in paul campells karate club, i looked at other clubs around our areas and i can tell you that not one stood up to pauls club,he is a brillant teacher and works his club hard to which i respect,and so do all our kids that are under him, he is in full control when fighting, it seems to me that the people nocking paul have no idea about karate themselfs, i say thank you to paul campbell for teaching our kids great karate respect & control, kay pckarate
His teaching is nearly as good as your spelling!why would you thank someone for teaching your kids to be a bully and to lack respect for an ancient martial art,if he shows vicious fighting on youtube obviously he must be proud of it.

How dare people refer to pauls lack of control and then themselves use racsim! These people should get some balls and attend one of pauls classes and see how long they last! I have nothing but utter respect for paul and members of his club attend for one reason, as shown, hes the best at what he does! Legal responsibility rests with the Instructor/Coach as to their students capability to participate in a competition Only the aforementioned know the grade and health of the student (any serious medical condition etc). The use of red/blue belts and mitts ensures grade anonimity.A claim can only be made by proving negligenec or lack of duty of care; Any negligence or failure of duty of care lies solely with the instructor/coach on the day for that competitor...Paul Campbell 6th Dan BA(Hons).
