I like bass a lot but the headstage arrow but it's out of my price range. I also have denon ah-d2000's, I was looking at the fiio e10's. what are your thoughts on the two and how do they compare?
You know any amps around the same price up to $300 that have crossfeed? I don't really NEED it, but it would be good if I were mixing some amateur recordings. I almost feel like skipping on the feature and doing an Objective2 or Maverick D1 but I'm not sure.
I can't find the proper Headphones or the External Sound card. I thought the steelseries siberia v2 sound card was perfect as well as the headphones but after a little bit of more research it has changed. I'm all confused.. HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! D,:................ hahahahhahahhaha :D I'm thinking to much into it but at the same time do not want to waste the time and the money on something that wont provide my qualifications. Which is not that much :)
So what should I go for???? The Fiio E6, The Headroom Total Bithead, or the Headstage Arrow? I'm not a audiophile. But I do like bass but at the range to where its good but not throbbing and the highs and mids are balanced so that I can listen to music and enjoy but at the same time hear all that is around me in my video game? I'm a gamer and a music lover and I've been looking into headphones to use and amp so awhile now, and so far I'm leaning on the Audio-Technica ATH-M50 among a few others.
@MultiJohnnyBravo The E7 has a bit more warmth and coloration. This is my preference of listening to music, but the downfall is that you may lose a bit of detail and clarity.
hi, very nice presentation as most of your videos are! anyway, i'm having a doozy choosing between this and NuForce. although this seems appealing me because of the battery option. =(
whats a "dedicated line out"? I have this thing and Sennheiser HD 595 and those headphones need a separate jack in between (cause it won't fit the total bithead jack otherwise). Total bithead is plugged into my computer.
I have a pair of audio-technica ath-m50 headphones. Will these make a noticeable difference on my music? Or will my tiny fiio e5 portable amp work almost as good?
2. If I were to purchase and iPod or a hifi man and want to carry it around with me in my backpack / pocket, is it reasonable for me to get a headphone amp?
3. I want to spend no more than 300 dollars on a headphone amp (potentially). Could you recommend the best headphone amp for that or under that price over all?
First and foremost, I loved the quality of this video and your review. Secondly, I'm very new to the portable audiophile "game" (if you will) and I was wondering if you could help me out with a few questions.
1. Is the sound quality difference between a hifi man and an iPod really incredible / worth the difference between 2 GB and 120 GB?
Great review!!! But I have a question. I have just recently gotten into audio and headphones so im still a little confused with it all. I have the Klipcsh Image S4 ear buds and a zune hd player. The Zune HD does not have Line out so i was curious if it would still sound good if i used this amp with it for portable listening? I also was wondering if it would make my Klipcsh Image S4 sound alot better? Thanks and once again.. Great Video!
Hey man, just stumbled upon your channel here and saw you had the FiiO E7 and the E9. I searched through your uploads and couldn't find a review. I'm really considering purchasing the both of them, so I'm wondering, how do they sound when used together? Thanks in advance bro.
Jheez, I can't seem to decide which amp to choose! This one seems prefect for me, allthough it might seem a bit light when it comes to the bass-amount/punchyness. I am a basshead, so to speak. Any advice? :)
I've been following your unboxing videos. I really like the new in-depth review idea, including the letter grade system you are using. Thanks for the good review. Just like ShinCZ, i'm also curious as to how it would compare to other amp/dac you have reviewed!
Hey Davy. I'm curious. How do you honestly feel it compares to your E7/E9 (curious on how the DAC portion fares more than the amp section), HRT Music Streamer, PA2V2, etc? Not that I'm asking to do a serious A/B, but more of your own gut. I used to own the DT990/600 myself, and currently mainly use the D7000 (which should def have similarities to your D2000).
@ShinCZ I prefer the E7/E9 combo over almost all of my hardware, except for the HM601 and Arrow amp combo. FiiO really outdid themselves with the e9, and using the e7 as the DAC portion really does make it a hard combo to beat. e7/e9 synergy is perfect perfect!
Plus, the e9 can EASILY drive every single headphone that I own with authority. The HRT streamer is great, but is limited to idevices. The pa2v2 has plenty of power for being portable, but does not have the SQ and warmth that I like.

Hello, is this suitable for an AKG K271 Mk.II with an iPhone?
Also, does using the line out output from the iPhone make a big difference?
