  • Who recites this? I've been trying to find out.

  • Mohammed (pbuh) never did this... muslims must fallow the prophet and do his sunahs and worship allah... allah said it the prophet lived it and we will fallow it

  • Imagine...such amazing KNOWLEDGE and WISDOM...from a SIXTEEN YEAR OLD. Very impressive...

  • Yeah and we should listen to how to worship Allah from someone called 'gansta4life"

    lol

    What a tool.

  • That's how you know they're real tough and things...a YouTube handle that says they are so down and gangsta. Watch out, he/she might pop a comment in yo ass! LMAO

  • no, but the angels do. the whole world, and everything in it is spinning and whirling. even the neutrons, and protons circle the nucleus in cells.

knowing all this how can you be still?

  • and remember mohammed (pbuh) is the best example of a muslim

  • oohhh, i just firgured out what "pbuh" means, der.

  • this whirling was'nt revealed in the quran or by prophet mohammad (pbuh) then why do some muslims do this???

  • Yes, if the prophet didnt do it why do the sufis? i understand it helps them do dhikr but why?

  • Well(and I personally dont do this)...everybody is allowed to have their own personal way of expression. So long as it is not explicitly breaching any Islamic principles, it is permissible. You would have to be insane at the very least to expect no differences or personal preferences to exist between a people as vast as Muslims today, when there are differences between even two people.

Its not a 'dance' either. Each part of that posture symbolises something significant in relation to God.

  • Let's not make up our mind before we've even acquired the necessary knowledge, understanding and scope of thought required to do so. Even though I dont practice this(simply not my cup of tea), I really enjoy watching it and get a sort of spiritual 'high' just by seeing them. I think sometimes we need to go to these somewhat dramatic extents to 'revitalise' and 'rejuvenate' our spirits- especially in times of such widespread discord as these.

  • Why can't we all praise the God? Why do we have to label ourselves as Muslims,or Jews, or Christians? Surely God didn't create religion, Man did.

It all about money to the clergy(mullah's)....

Mandatory Visitation to Mecca, bring money to the shaykhs, "not God".

  • It's kinda interesting how you're arguing against dancing, as if you're the defender of islam, and yet, you're cursing. That's like driving a hybrid hummer.

  • wat the hell does twirlin have to do with Allah...did prophet mohammed (pbuh) do this shit. u soofies are taring up islam. some one said this dance it thought to b second to the quran...NOTHING IN THE WORLD CAN COMPARE TO THE QURAN!!!! U ARE SOILING THE QURANS NAME!!!!! Allah have mercey upon u. there will b a jihad on muslims. i hope soofies, and especially baha muslims will die. u both have strayed too far. adding ones culture with islam and labling it islam IS HARAM!!!!!

  • Did the prophet (saw) ever swear or wish death upon another muslim. Listen you unintelligent delinquent, I agree, nothing is more glorious than the Holy Quran and I have never suggested otherswise. SUFIS do not suggest otherwise. Your brain capacity will never allow you to understand the complexity of Sufi whirling. So I will not bother explaining it to ignoramous's like you.

  • But I will tell you one thing. Sufis whirl to bring themselves closer to Allah (swt). It is a form of ZIKR. ZIKR is appointed to every muslim. May Allah guide YOUR heart, and bring light to your knowledge. Btw sufism isn't even in my culture. The rest of my family are wahabbis

  • isnt danceing haram. theres other ways to b closer to Allah, like repenting..fasting..doing good deeds..reciting the quran wonderfully. i noe the prophet(pbuh) didnt swear, but read the quran carefully, there is a jihad on currupt muslims, read up on baha muslims they are the most currupt. calling them muslims is a discrace.

  • and this guy rumi..its like they are wershipping him. they read his poems like its the quran!!!!! rumi was twirlin out of grief or sumthing...so u take that and add it to islam!!!!! WTF WTF WTF!!!!!!!

  • Jalaludeen Rumi was Wali and the greatest poet of his time. Astagfirullah how could we ever associate partners with Allah?! Don't accuse us of something which we have never done! No we do not read his poems as the Quran, we take inspiration from his poems, to become closer to Allah. Have you never taken inspiration from anything before?

  • yes THE HOLY QURAN. we as muslims dont need anything else. to say u need sumthing else to inspire u insteed is to say that the quran is week in yer insperation to love Allah.

  • Surely, there is more than one way to God.

Islam is not the only way.

  • It is only when we don't allow others the right to their own path, we breed disharmony. That is not love but self-righteousness. A whole lot of people have died throughout history for the self-righteousness of man. Until we see we are all one race, one people and that is important beyond religion we continue to kill each other.

  • This is not dancing. It is whirling. Whirling is different, Dancing, like haraam dancing such as "grinding" is haraam. How can you deem something haraam when you don't even know what it is. Are you a sheikh, are you a wali?

  • iam not but some things are common sence. Allah didnt say u have to b a sheik or walli or an immam to b a good and smart muslim.

  • And nor did I. But you cannot deem something haraam if you have not studied it. Not when you have any knowledge about it. When you start sayign things are haraam you put yourself in the position of Allah, and that is shirk. Astagfirullah!

  • who do u think was the first person to say wat was haram?? prophet mohammed (pbuh). we need to use our judgement to noe wat is right and wrong. useing the quran and the sunnah as our guide lines.

  • Extremely true, Fasting and repenting are wonderful ways of getting closer to Allah. Thse people are taking themselves out of this world and becoming closer. They are abandoning their inner most desires to meditate. They are in seclusion. How are you so sure they are corrupt how do you know you are not corrupt?

  • i am not currupt becuz i follow thw quran.. does the quran say to twirl?? the quran sets everything out. i understand the reason for the twirting put its kinda absurd to combine it with islam. Allah warned us about changing the religion because of our culture. thats wat the christans did and look at them.
