  • I have bread my dragons 3 times now. i love the arm wave. I never liked the violence involved in the breeding process, but its totally worth it. I love raising the babies for the month or 2 i have em. and then the bonus is makin money! My dragons are 8 and 6 years old.

  • i just got my bearded dragon, he is a juvenile, he had a previous owner but he had to get rid of it because his wife got pregnant. I was wondering, whenever i get my hand close to him, he puffs up and and shows his beard. i was wondering if that meant that he dosnt like my hand around him. i have held him before at the pet store and he was pretty docile

  • Hey Darth...

I'm not 100% sure, but the fact that he was okay in the pet store and then now is freaking out probably just means that he has to get used to his new environment. He may be acting 'territorial' or something towards this new, unfamiliar environment. Give it a couple weeks... he should probably calm down. :)

  • thanks! im going to try to being near for most of my free time. so it can get used to me

  • @Hipcatkb how long is your female and nice video by the way

  • you might be starteling him or he might not be used to being handled.

  • @darthw111 mine did the same thing ell they was acting weired when i brought mine home they wouldent eat or move but when i asked about it at the pet store they said they are just getting use to there new home so soon they should be fine

  • wonderful video

I have 1 male and 1 female, waiting for a "courtship" like this

    thank you for posting

  • I keep 2 in a 50 gallon tanks mainly for sleeping and bad outside weather outside in the sun I got a cargo crate about 6'long 4' deep and 4'high I converted it into a cage so the sun can get in nicely. I also made multiple levels that they can climb up top for sun or lounge in the shade underneath, they love it in there plenty of room to run around climb and the sun brings out the colors in their skin.

  • great comment! thanks!

  • umm.. i have 2 beardies and over one summer i made a custom tank thats about 90 gallons wich is great for the 2.

  • ow big of a tank do u need for two like that?(Please respond) Very nice vid.

  • Hey! I'm not sure about gallon sizes... I'm sure you can find that info on a beardie website. I only have one right now (Fergie). However, you generally want a tank that is wider than their length (head to tip of tail) and the length should be enough so they can get out of the heat of the heatlamp... so there is a good temp difference. I'm not an expert... but really, they are happiest in the largest tank possible!

  • thats hot

  • thats really interesting.. their great lookin beardies

  • why thank you!

  • dude she doesnt want to breed

  • haha well, it seems obvious at the end.

but she can reject the male if she wants to. Other than species recognition, why is she arm-waving? "Forelimb circumduction" is a sign of submission. Both male and female bearded dragons do it. Males do it when they are outcompeted by a larger, more fit male. Females do it as well for this reason. But during courtship, females do it as a sign of sexual submission.

  • rape

  • That female does not want to breed.

  • So much better than 2 girls, 1 cup!

  • Lol they're so goofy.
