How can yamaha fans expect it to be bulletproof even with turbo? It's silly.. Yz250 got possibly the most hp/cc on any natural aspired 4stroke engine.. Doubling this engine don't make me trust it much more.. The 250f is knows for it's close service intervals..

I don't have a Phazer, but i am trying to get one. They look like a lot of fun. I have a 2003 Polaris Pro X 440 Liquid CUSTOM. I have over 5,000 into it of parts. Do you think i will notice a big difference if i can set up a trade with anybody? They look around the same weight, but a totally different style. I don't think a Phazor would be practicle to ramp, either, would it?

um Im not sure the specs of yours, but it is probibly more powerful than the phazer. but as far as jumping them that's what the phazer was made for; Throwing around. the seating position would be much different as well....much higher.

dont do it if you don`t want a gutless sled that looks cool. they run at about 57hp if you go hi up, and with less low end torque than a fan cooled 550. they only have more top speed. I would buy a nytro.. even a used are more reliable than a new hi reving phazer..

@YamahaKodiak915 yes when you run them close to sea level.. when you go high up you will see that they lose a lot of power. All sleds do.. just when you are low on hp from the beginning you will really feel the performance drop.. the info I had on this was from a professional review of phazer..

Kona's got some great points, but it dosnt depend on your size as much as your comfortablity with the sled and the trails. if your just starting out, yeah take it slow at first but dont be afraid to push yourself, sleds can do amazing things! i would recomend this sled to you, it would be great to start on! If you havent allready check out a vid on here, " SH5 Film Trailer " its all about sleds and what they can do check it out, have fun this winter it should be a good one.

12 years old and u got an 08. holy shit lol. anyway yeah its to big and fast for sure. 81lbs. wow ur light. i wouldnt let u go on it. way to big of a sled. its a full sized sled. anyway if u do ride it. ride it damn slow and safe. cause man im 15 and it is still a fast sled. and im a prrty big kid. 5 11  165lbs.

dont listen to jmeat. hes a little shit whoes never rode one. there not tippy and not heavy. its great for smaller people because its really easy to throw around. Awsome sled. i jump it and never bottom it out. i just bought one. i have been riding my buddys alot though. buy a clutch kit and it makes it alot faster, plus and exhaust and danm. trick little sled. im 160lbs 95mph

I have a 500 & would not recomend it for anyone. It is very tippy (even for a dirtbiker!) & likes to roll over & have it's belly scratched lots! Beware when it does tip because it can leak oil out of the engine easy if you don't get it back on it's feet fast enough. I would not recomend it for a smaller woman either, as it is a heavy sled. I would only recomend a Phazer to someone who likes VERY soft suspension and who is not very heavy themselves (bottoms out easy on jumps)

you couldent be more incorrect... wow just wow umm you need to lern how to adjust the suspention, under 500 lbs dry, yes oil can leak out when it tips but that why you shut if off. when you say you have a 500 are you saying you have a phazer?

A 500cc has got enough power for the trails.I have a 1991 polaris indy 500 and the viper in front of me couldnt gain any ground so you wont get left behind on the trails except for the straights ill admit i fall behind on them.Also my 500 only has 60-65 horse power and i can hit 75 on hard packed snowtrails however this has 80hp so i think you'd do fine. I can only say so much but i think its a good sled im looking to buy one too.

I got a '08 GT for my wife, she loves it except for the reverse problem. Here's my pro's: no injection oil, 20 MPG, great suspension, rider forward position, nimble, great fit,finish,smooth throttle response, incredible wind protection (GT only),gd.low end power. Cons: worst reverse in biz, long warm-up, narrow seat and though light for a 4 stroke, heavier than a 600 CC REV but FEELS lighter and that's what counts. A bit top heavy (you sit on top of the crank like all 4 strokes).

Hi Polobaron, thanks for you comment, having the same issue with my 08GT, it almost NEVER goes into reverse unless you lift the rear end and drop it, a real pain when unloading off the trailer, any one else notice this? My dealer says bad design, live with it. Help!

i don't know who made it up that yamaha's weigh to much but they actually are lighter than polaris. polaris dragon 800 wet weight 623p. and yamaha nitro wet weight 599.

you are right my friend to have the same problems with his phazer. and after he got a turbo on it, it is just junk!! 4 break downs last winter... front suspension is crap. tears down real fast. after 2 year it is like a 15 year old Polaris. the phazer with IFS was better. nytro have the same suspension problem, but better engine.

Weve got an 07 phazer and an 07 phazer mountain lite and the only problem weve had is shifting between forward and reverse. Sometimes you have to move the track a little bit to get it to engage. Other than that they are amazing sleds, super fun
