I love In The Heights because there is so much raw talent. It's one of the only shows I've seen where the actors sound just as good live, some (like Olga Merediz) sound even better, as they do on the CD. I just saw it yesterday and I was blown away the entire time. I cried three times just in act I just because of how amazing the songs were. As soon as Olga started singing "Calor! Calor! Calor!" tears were streaming down my face. She is amazing at what she does and I'm so happy I saw her live.

absolutely breathtaking. I saw this on Broadway, and there, and here - in fact, EVERY time she sings this song - she sounds EXACTLY the way she does on the soundtrack, if not better. Absolutely flawless. She really should have won a Tony for this! (And Mandy Gonzalez for Nina)

This woman totally steals the show. Of course if you don' t know who she is ( I didn't) you totally believe she's an 80-year-old lady who seems on the bring of a heart attack during this number singing at the top of her long. I had tears running down my eyes. She's amazing. This performance out of dress/make up and set does not even give you an idea of how powerful this performance is. You gotta go go go see this musical

I saw this on Broadway recently. If you get chance to see this performance on stage do so. This 'eleven o'clock number' comes half way through act one(!) and literally makes the hair on the back of your neck stand up. Not only that there's at least 6 numbers in the show with moments as good as this. Truly wonderful.
