Besides mugham we have also ashug music and bayaty - both are pure Turkic culture formed on the basis of Azerbaijani - Turkic language. The song you listen to is a composition composed to a poem by Medina Gulgun, our poetess. The song form all its beauty thanks to Turkic language its pronunciation rules. This is pure Azerbaijani music - have no doubt in it. Armenians are the ones who always steal form us. They could never imagine that one day we will stop being modest.

Balaban, Tütək ( duduk ) is a traditional woodwind instrument indigenous in Azerbaijan
The balaban has been a common shepherds' musical instrument since ancient times. It is a type of pipe. Mainly as solo instruments in ensembles and orchestras of national instruments. The tutak has a pleasant, soft timbre.
The cylindrical trunk is made of apricot, walnut, mulberry or reed. The trunk is 280-300 mm in length, and 20 mm in diameter.
