Whenever I tell people about Earthbound as a series they think I'm talking about POKEMON because I tell them what ness and ninten look like they say "Yeah red baseball cap the Pokemon trainer wears that." I say "Come on they don't use Pokemon in Earthbound they use Psi." I give them an example of the moves when I mention PK lifeup they say "Yeah and life-up was a move in pokemon DDDDDDDUUUUUUUUUUUUURRRRRRRR!! " Almost NO ONE bevies me on the series (main exeptions those who got him in Brawl.)

In Jungian psychology, the Anima is the feminine part of the male consciousness. Typically a male's first impression is that of his mother, but this begining archtype is later replaced. Example, Paula eventually takes the place of Ness' anima, or so I believe. Giygas, however, remained a child deep down. It's not for nothing you can see a fetus in the fight with him in Mother 2, whether that was intended or not. The Devil's machine was a womb, of course. Giygas was merely crawling back insice...

@Ilovemariofan He is! Well in legal terms. Giegue is like Maria's son right. And Ness is like Ninten's son (kinda). And Ninten is Maria's son (or grandson I forget).  So Giegue is Ness's...uncle? Great uncle? Something like that.
