  • Bloopers on YouTube

  • HAARP!!!

  • It sounds like something from a fantasy video game, airplane, or supersonic/hypersonic jet.

  • This sound was super loud. My Guess, a very low flying

    hypersonic plane or rocket

that sonic boomed during some testing or crashed maybe this NASA Russian test...

    High-Speed Research -- The Tu-144LL

    A Supersonic Flying Laboratory

    FS-1996-09-18-LaRC

    September 1996-1997

Even though this NASA and Russian tested super sonic was conducted in

    Russia the timing is right.

  • @geraldkrug HOLY SHIT! you must know professor google! =D

  • POTC Kraken?

  • the first seems to be some kind of ship approaching....

  • well, we havent explored everything in oceans yet

  • An alien base hidden in our ocean depths? Probably not. Still cool, nonetheless. Finding the source will no doubt prove interesting, whether biological or geological.

  • MEGANON???

  • Megaladon?

  • wait a minute, some other people seem to think that Cthulhu is infact a water elemental, he has a physical form but completely made out of water.

  • those fools actually think they don't exist XD

  • the reason that they haven't stated icebergs and such as the reason behind the sound is because the sound (the bloop) is very similiar to an animal noise....just that its much louder than any frequency an animal could make. mystery....

  • what made you conclude that it's from Cthulhu? so stupid.. don't you think it's just from the air?

  • @rhutskie14 What air? its underwater. and probbly so far down that air bubbles dont form unless its a massive bubble and then they would rule it out. If it was air, they would of known.

  • Maybe it is from the ice melting and breaking apart at the south pole or large ice bergs crashing into each other under water.

  • Either ice sheets moving over land or gas expulsion from beneath the crust. Gas moving through the earths bowels.

  • sounds like my stomach

  • THX

  • Sounds like something's landing. USO.

  • That's Ruddy Mysterious...lol

  • THE Fallen One...

  • Although I am not fully focused on this idea maybe there are a family group of large and unknown marine animals, probably related to whales. The first sound sort of sounds similar to a whale sound and the second one (the bloop) is just weird. Ik it is a more realistic explanation that these are glaciers moving and other things but maybe they are animals. The Marianas Trench can hold Mount Everest so who knows.

  • NZ has been recording a strange hum for over a decade,it affects parts of Auckland city, its transient, but ahs been reocrded..... google North Shore Hum to read more about it, and hear the hum.

  • Maybe it was a type of whale call. I know only whales or dolphins could make sounds similar to that.

  • i dont no dude but cloverfield monster

  • @Commandok1l you think a megalodon can burp or fart?

  • @Bjack900 dinosaurs only lived on land.

  • actually i beleve the second one.But i think u made a mistake. If the first are reptalyan, the second are the grey,A grey is not suppose to be evil like in your piture.SO SIMPLE!!!

  • its a megaladon

  • In a way Lovecraft was right : we don't understand things of our universe. I'm not thinking that this noise is Cthulhu and that he will reborn in 2012 but maybe if we search new species in that region of south pacific maybe we will find a big big (huge) fish or I'm wrong and I will be eaten by Cthulhu *run for his life*

  • Maybe it's Leviathan that was mentioned in the bible.. or.. more likely chuck norris.

  • @JakeMiller1993 The Leviathan that was mentioned in the Bible was probably a dinosaur.

  • like Cracked said, the bloop sounds like a turd being dropped in to a toilet

  • The first sound has been thought to be linked to a large glacier slowly gliding into the oceans in Antarctica.

The second sound has been thought to be linked to a large iceberg breaking off in Antarctica.

They're not sure, but when they compared the first sound to recordings of moving glaciers on land (or more specifically: large masses of ice grinding on each other) they sound almost exactly similar. Now, because it happens under water, the sound travels much farther then it would on land.

  • What is wrong with all of you stop writing stupid comments on youtube

you guys have no life all you guys do is type nonsense for once ponder about

what's going is that so hard

  • @blackcat576 ur moms a stupid comment

  • its freaking lugia. or at least lets hope its lugia and not other thing

  • a lugia come on dude!!!!!!!! be realistic for once what a stupid comment

  • @blackcat576 dude im joking its obviously cthulu

  • First one was a whale and the bloop a bubble bursting by the mic!

  • I bet its the sounds of lava and tectonic plates, just my opinion but im ready for Cthulu

  • did i do that so loud u heard that?

  • ya you wait.

  • Chuck Norris live here. I tell you.

  • @fslinky07 Hope it was true, but Chuck Norris is the only one who could defeat Cthulhu D: so lets raise our prayers for old Chuck!

  • @fslinky07 Ohhhh :O

  • thats nothing but a blue whale fart!

  • i think ancient marine dinosaurs are living off the coast of South America! XD god wouldn't want to get lost at sea there!

  • who the hell would even take time to make this video of such fake shit.. my god do people have lives..

  • @FastAssJack

    Are you retarded?

  • @FastAssJack umm... this is real, u hear about it all over, even on discovery channel, so don"t go off calling things fake, ok fatdumbassjack

  • @FastAssJack umm... this is real, u hear about it all over, even on discovery channel, so don"t go off calling things fake, ok fatdumbassjack.

  • uh...-confused- my head hurts really bad right now

  • you can only hope to be eaten quickly

  • GODZILLA!!!!!

  • In his house at R'lyeh dead Cthulhu waits dreaming !

  • Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn

    Fear the mighty Cthulhu {:€

  • Its Cthulhu

  • Seems to me fishes can fart too

  • The Bloop sounds like a guy zipping his fly.... O.o

  • @Jonowl wth?

  • @DerekDeluxe at 0:36 it sounds like someone zipping their pants...

  • @Jonowl i donno what kinda pants you wear buddy but here in america our zippers make only 1 noise: zip!

  • @DerekDeluxe I'm from America... and that's what I mean, its sounds like an Effing zipper.

  • @Jonowl no my friend... no.

  • @DerekDeluxe quit being a douche

  • @Jonowl ok.

  • The Selkath don't only live on Manaan.

  • The sound in comparison to the speed makes sense, though. If it's something colossal, the noise it would make would most likely be incredibly slow. Consider the size of the largest animal on earth, the blue whale, and the sounds they make. Long and slow, but whales have a keening edge to their cry. Perhaps that rules out this creature being a whale.

Oh, and we don't know everything about the ocean. We actually know very little. Just saying. (:

  • @cheerupemokid943 they said the source had to be something larger than the blue whale, or so I read.

  • @hulkmeister23 true

  • @cheerupemokid943 the sound bit is sped up 16 times

  • @rapperSkater No shit. When you decrease it to normal speed, it's extremely slow.

  • @cheerupemokid943 I only said it because it didnt seem like people realized this

  • I just Blooped myself.

  • the bloop is some one farting in water the first 1 sound like whale

  • @MrConman666 haha ur so funny

  • Cloverfield! O_o

  • it's a fcking airplane

  • @lambofgodrulzz Oh really? you can pick up an airplanes engine noise on 2 different receivers 3,000 miles apart?

  • @TheRealPtoni seems so.

  • @lambofgodrulzz must be a loud ass airplane then haha

  • First one is a Big Daddy from Bioshock, sorry, had to. But this is crazy stuff.

  • @R3vE4

Who knows perhaps it's the sounds from Rapture.

    :P:P

  • gay

  • OMG it was the cloverfield monster

  • 0_0 WTF is that??

  • Cthulu? Pfft! As if... It's clearly leviathan, the sea monster predicted in the bible (JK). :-)

  • this fuckin gave me nightmares!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • both of the sounds used in this video have been sped up 16x. the quality has suffered greatly. There was a science special from way back the played the sounds untouched. It sounded alot more detailed, almost mechanical. go check it out.

  • There should be like a designated SCIENTIST on every youtube video that would provoke "Scientific" arguments like this.

  • Bermuda triangle? maybe? not really?

    ARE MYSTERIES REAL!?

  • you fail total this video

  • They compared the first sound to the sound of ice calving and they were very, very similar. No idea about the second one though...

  • Its chuck norris

  • This sound is slowed down a lot. The actual sound is far less ominous.

  • @je25ff the actual sound is sped up 16x, in its natural state its inaudible to humans because of the incredibly low frequency, if we herd it from a fairly close distance it would probably rupture a human internally.

  • That first sound sounds like a plane of some kind landing or passing by

  • Dont listen to this it's a real cursed video. If you watch it you will be in serious trouble. You have been warned

  • Captain, Sonar. We have an identified CZ contact bearing, um, thataway, range 25,000,000!

  • @nickgen123 Your favorite videos consist of viral bullshit and cats doing cat things. You are not allowed to express an opinion.

  • the first one is creepy

    the bloop too :-

  • eso pareen sonidos de marikas como el tonto HP q publico este video es tonto malparido

  • So move the f on to another video and stop posting stupid comments.

  • So the sounds are amazingly slow if you play them on normal speed. UHMAZING!

  • jaajajajajajjaaj gays

  • u r laughing cuz u don't know what people is talking about...

  • it's haarp..

  • Obviously the sound of a colony of Alpheidae, also known as Snapping Shrimp. All the bubbles that come out from them clapping their claws make this noise. It travels at 30 feet per second (9.1 m/s) and then pops. It can wake people up on coastal communities. They can white out the sonar of a submarine and deafen the operators through their headphones.

  • Checkout the Wiki page if u dont believe me

  • This sound is sped up sixteen times. I highly doubt a colony of shrimp could create such a low-pitched noise.

  • @cheerupemokid943 How do you know it's sped up 16 times? I'm not trying to argue I'm just curious.

  • @monkeybone444 Uh, the Wikipedia page. And you can just Google it; all the sites tell you the same thing.

  • Interesting, please allow me inform you that this sound was recorded in 1997. It's been reported to be several times louder than any known biological sound, and this included snapping shrimps 190 dB sound which is known since the 1940's, also, this recording is speeded up 16 times, the original one has ultra-low frequencies.

  • @kakashisharingun No, scientists ruled out Snapping Shrimp.

  • i bet its part of the Cloverfield Viral Marketing Compain :D

  • -.-

  • Nah, Those guys just kinda tied it in.

  • No but they used the Bloop sound as the Cloverfield monster's sound.

The sounds you hear here are real though, except they are speeded up sixteen times.

  • irs Cthulhu snoring people. move along.

  • @soljerameelguy

Exactly, the last thing we want to to do is go poking around and pissing the most evil thing in existence off. LOL.

  • @soljerameelguy

bring those boats, Cthulu ain't smashing them into his head himself

  • fake, humans can only hear from 20 to 20000 hertz and yet the graph says that the sound is from 0 to 50 hertz. fake fake fake.

  • feeble human. Its Cthulhu snoring!

  • You know that the fact we can't hear doesn't mean our apparels can't detect, right?

    I hope so.

  • can you guys stop with this zalgo or cthuluthis thing is get really boring

  • OPFER-OPFER-OPFER-OPFER

  • Some scientists think the slowdown is caused by the friction of ice moving over land. "One of the hypotheses on the origin of the sound is moving ice in Antarctica. Sound spectrograms of friction closely resemble the spectrogram of the Slow Down. This suggests the source of the sound could be a friction phenomenon of ice rubbing over land."

So sayeth the wikipedia article, anyway.

  • It was the sound of my dick. And by the way, those who have enough time to type up some unneeded mumbo jumbo science aurgument, must not be spending enough time with their partner. And yes plates are always moving, and also it could be generating the same sound for both the mics, for both are on the same plate. Also, havnt people heard of whales getting lost due to callings being generated from thousands of miles away by an underwater soundtrap?

  • Scientists who found the Bloop said it was much too large to to be created by any animal we know of now. They also said we don't know of any animals who could make a group large enough to make a sound THAT vast from as far away as the sound was picked up up from.

  • And by the way, those who have enough time to type up some unneeded mumbo jumbo science aurgument, must not be spending enough time with their partner.

you notice you just did that, right?

  • Or this:

*Shows a picture of Homer Simpson with no Pants on*

  • This the "Call of Cthulu" check on the H.P Lovecraft's book "Necronomicon" in Wikipedia

  • I found out that this sound was relatively close to a plate boundary. wikipedia said it sounded like friction. well what the hell do you think plates do?

  • Why would it be those pics at the end?? That doesnt make sense...Thats like comic book crap and drawings..

  • @ShawnTP07

It's Cthulu, some fictional undersea monster thing made up by HP Lovecraft. A lot of people think it's real though.

  • ya, but experts have determined that the bloopds wave frequencys can only be made by an animal, but for it to do that, it has to be several times bigger then a blue whale, considering how deep the frequency was. and that it was detected by 2 boat at the exact same time 3,000 miles apart.

wow, cant believe how nerdy that sounded lol

  • It's bloop!!!

  • No, idiot. They don't just lie ON THE PLATE, they BOTH lie on the EDGE OF THE PLATE. That's what i meant.

    ¬¬

  • look at the exact location on google earth, it is literally located in the middle of nowhere, and it isn't near a plate boundary, what could it possibly be. Nobody on the face of this Earth could make me swim in the open water in the middle of the Pacific after this. N-O-B-O-D-Y.

  • Stop acting like you know more than everybody else, because you obviously don't.

BOTH of the coordinates given lie on the Nazca plate, in the South Pacific.

    Look it up.

  • any co-ordinates given are ALWAYS going to lie on a plate genius, the Earth's surface is made up of plates ¬¬

  • HOLY FUCK IT'S CTHULHU.

  • H.P Lovecraft's "Cthulhu" definatly

  • Sliding and grinding tectonic plates.

  • no way man, they didn't record sounds like that when the 2005 tsunami happend, and that is the largest recorded tectonic movement in human history, this would have been much smaller sound, but the fact that it is massive considering that it came from an animal is still creepy. Nobody knows to this day what animal managed to make a noise so big it could be heard ina 5000km radius. That's one big ass fish

  • "no way man, they didn't record sounds like that when the 2005 tsunami happend, and that is the largest recorded tectonic movement in human history"

    ^Not true. At all.

What i meant, by the way, is that both mics could have sat on the edge of the same tectonic plate as it moved. They would therefore both hear it simultaniously.

  • umm, well it was either the first or second

  • Not even close. Krakatoa was the first, Valdivia was second, and the 1964 Alaska Earthquake was third.

  • do you know how slow they move???they weren't sliding and grinding shit...

  • it doesn't matter how "slow" they move.

They still move with ENOUGH FORCE TO GENERATE EARTHQUAKES and volcanic eruptions, now don't they?

    So there.

By the way, plates are sliding and grinding ALL THE TIME, so don't tell me they're not.

  • yeah they only create those things after they have been pushing against one another for a while, and its when they finally reace a point and energy is released from that pressure,so i guess 5inches a year is sliding and grinding XD

  • First off, they move more than 5 inches a year. Second, the distance they move doesn't matter. Because tectonic plates are STILL FUCKING HUGE.

Even if a truly MASSIVE OBJECT only moved 1 inch a year, it would still generate MASSIVE reprecussions and release tons of energy, because it takes TONS of energy to move the massive object in the first place.

    learn2science

  • i love science, but im done talkin bye.......

  • So you gave up your arguement. That must mean that I proved you wrong. Ha.

    That means I win!

    *dances* ;)

  • naww im just tierd of typin arguments on freakin youtube, its boring....so i just stopped

  • Cthulhu.

  • It's Lay

  • Some science team needs to head down to that area and check things out.

  • The problem is and always has been that the oceans are an incredibly enormous place. It is impossible for us to see everything. The only thing scientists have done so far is to look in very small areas. I think people have only been to the bottom of the Mariana Trench a total of 3 times - not enough to really see much.

  • It's leviathan! Where's Hagbard Celine when you need him?

  • Pssh...It's not leviathan.

    IT'S CTHULHU

  • It's a discordian hoax! It's Bob making bubbles in the bathtub again!

  • This is not in real time ?

  • Hey, Yoni89? I want to add something about the Bloop: that version is sped up. It was muuuuuch slower when recorded in real life.

  • When mighty Cthulhu awakens, He shall teach us new kinds of fear. Cthulhu fthagn!

  • well, the first one sound like the cloverfield monster roar, but is from a movie.I dont think can be a monster just like clover

  • The bloop... could be a gigantic air bubble coming up from an underwater cave/vulcano and bursting up to.. I want to say shore but it isn't shore- the top of the water..?

I doubt it would be that loud though...

  • nessie escaped fae scotland have you seen him

  • ctuluhu needs to upgrade quicktime

  • These are super cool, but doesnt anything sound weird once in a while? Like wind blowing over bottles etc

  • Can't this just be an animal inside some sort of rock formation that just so happens to amplify it's call? For reference, have any of you ever shot a gun in an air duct?

  • or a firecracker in a steel trashcan.
