  • Thank you for putting this here, I've been trying to get into school for a couple of years now, but since my economic status is not well, I haven't been able to. So I surf the web for free video (I'm a visual learner) tutorials on network+ course. I have the most recent up to date CompTIA book (a good friend helped me out for free), but not having video reference leaves me in the dark. Again thanks alot, and if you know any sites that have the full course, please get into contact with me.

Good video. You should also have included he Physical Layer protocols, such as ADSL, ISDN, SDH, SONET, T-carrier, E-carrier, etc. Also possibly the maximum throughput for the various Layer 1 standards, such as Cat5e 1Gbit/sec. Cat6 is capable of 10Gbit/sec. Also possibly talk about the bariers in the Physical layer such as attenuation and crosstalk.

Thanks, thats a good point. I tried to cover the basics because the assignment only allowed us to talk 8 to 10 minutes. You are right though I only scratched the surface on many aspects of the Physical Layer.

    Thanks.

  • Great video. Length is over 8 minutes. Very good information regarding the physical layer of networking. This presentation covers all the basics of layer 1 with accurate information.
