a non-carbon based element? Aren't all elements except for... carbon... non-carbon based? I think he means a non-carbon based molecule, or what have you.
mobius is talking technobabble there. "uneven positrons in the 2nd 4th and 9th quadrants" - that doesn't even mean anything
(seriously... how would you define "evenness" of a positron, it's a point particle. and lets disregard the fact that it'd annhilate with electrons to create light. i don't remember any organic components glowing when infected, only the leeched crystals glow in the game).
@5master11111 it still doesn't actually mean anything though, quarks don't have orbital rings, and positrons (and other fermions) do not orbit quarks.
@EzekelFalcon That is the point of technobabble...to sound realistic and important, and act as filler where needed. The first "accurate" description of Tiberium came out with C&C 3.
@andrewames247 i wouldn't say that really, i mean in tib wars they completely ret-conned what tiberium is. turning it from a biological component with mutagenic properties (which yes i know doesn't make sense, but at least offers interesting potentials for story and gameplay), into basically glowing crystaline structures with the properties of "selective" strangelets. and then there's the whole "sonic vibrations destroy tiberium" (which i don't have enough chars to go into why it's bad here)
Because according to the Tiberian Sun game it's too cold, the soil lacks any real nutrients, and the soild that does exist is barried under meters of snow to permit the growth of any tiberium.
Wow bad acting on the scientist. C&C Tiberian Trilogy(Tiberian Sun, Firewall and C&C 3) acting has improved a lot. Gotta love Michael Ironside heck of an actor.

@imlost19,
Lol, they say it's an element and then say it's a life form. Video game scientists are the best.

@EzekelFalcon no, he said "unequal positrons orbiting on the first, second, and ninth quark rings."

Is "eddie" played by the chap who plays BG Sheppard?
danielchen87 2 years ago
According to the credits, Sheppard was played by a guy named Eric Martin, and the "Science Show Host" by a fellow named R.C. Favero.
Sorry for the reply having come so late by the way.

In what game does Mobius die in? I mean, he is still alive in Renegade^^
Razukin 3 years ago
Renegade is set during the first game
Oneworld87 3 years ago
According to the databanks in CnC3, Mobius died in an ion during the 2nd Tiberium War (Tiberian Sun).
FekLeyrTarg 3 years ago
ah that sucks :(

I agree. He was so funny. But I don't accept Tiberium Wars and Kane's Wrath as canon anyways. (even if they're fun)

why isnt there any tib in antartica?
xlonewolf807x 4 years ago
Because according to the Tiberian Sun game it's too cold, the soil lacks any real nutrients, and the soild that does exist is barried under meters of snow to permit the growth of any tiberium.
DrCropes 4 years ago
I think there is, if you look closely to the mountainous region of antartica, there is a small amount of tiberium.
MechaTailsMK2 4 years ago
i really dont understand a word mobius is saying! lol

You aren't supposed too... It's mostly technobabble.
Basicly its not carbon based (All Earth life is carbon based)
It is dangerous to Carbon based life (Duh)

This FMV is depicted in this video -> Good job :-).
I watched the 4 parts of the "C&C Background on the conflict" series. Well done.
How did you extract them from the game? I tried to go through the game folders, but unfortunately the FMVs are neither saved as MPEGs nor AVIS.
GeneralODanO 4 years ago
its inside the games mix file. neither mpg nor avi. but i guess theres tools around the net to extract them. i had one, 8 years ago. =)
RickSnyder 4 years ago
Doing so my self I sarted replaying the C&C games and got lost in good old memories...
Casting back my mind to C&C, Tiberium, KANE and Dr. Mobius, I remembered one FMV in C&C 1 with the latter, which always makes me laugh when seeing it.

All world waits for the groundbreaking C&C sequel due this month.
But while we are waiting it is good to look at what we have witnessed so far in the past decade.
