I used to catch my train to London every morning throughout the 50s and 60s from either Ilford mainline or Gants Hill stations. It was a fantastic area to be then. I also spent several years working for Phonodisc, right there then in the middle of Iflord. It all looks so very different now. :-(

OMG this brings back memories, I use to live in Ilford, Cranbrook Road went to Valentines High School, Mela's in the park. Man I even applied for a job at Supremo glaze (Worked there for a week was crap didn't even get paid) Oh and Cinaworld, Nandos, Bollywood bowling, Shouts went there every week end.
