  • Man it just makes so much sense now. Really cant wait to get my first vol in the mail. This is what I have been looking for forever. Keep it up man, thanks again.

  • This is truly amazing!! WOW!

  • Are you a man? if so what are you doing with a name like madameve? I can't get past that to try your concept.

  • lol.. its my sisters youtube account and you are not allowed to change the name

  • That is a relief! I thought you were a man but everytime I would look at the name it kinda worried me. Thanks for replying and I am interested in learning more about your concept of learning chords for every note of the scale. Thanks again for clearing that little mystery up!

  • Damn those chords - Beautiful ... man your talking the truth keep preaching my brother

  • can u play the song dont cry-kirk franklin

  • I think you need to play complete progressions and /or songs to show the application of your concept...

  • That has already been done in previous clips.... look at the clip "What a friend we have in Jesus." This is just a different explanation of the concept that was used to create that clip. The complete details are in "Handbook of Gospel Harmony" Volume III

  • I just did another example with Hark the Hearald Angels sing all harmonized on the single melody note... listen the the sweet changes that are possible

  • but thats the hardest part knowing what mood to use and when.

and for freedom of expression, technical practice must still exist. so the old way of learning music as you refer too, i still believe is a must if you wanna be par with some top musicians today, because of the way they play. they gain full use of their ear and and full technical use of their hands. which this course obviously lacks. and these are the hardest bits in music. mood (ear), technique,. keep posting vids. :)

  • i find that i like the harmonizations that some of these show players play, so i nick them and put them in my arsenal.

and if i was a complete beginner trying to approach your course, i think i would be tricked into thinking that my ear doesn't need to be used so much, because i already played piano before i got your course, its helped me.

again its hard to find the right mood with your course, its basically like giving us options, and telling us they all work. just find the ones u like.

  • Thats part of the beauty that they all work....you have to decide for yourself what mood a certain voicing is good for.. I cant decide that for you.. and neither can anyone else....And at least you have options now as opposed to none, or you trying to guess what works..... you can now spend more time on creating and listening to your creations...... enjoy....

  • i still find you need to listen to these show off players, because they show alot of the tricks they have learned through hard practice and following other gospel musicians, and at the same time it trains ure ear when your trying to copy their chords.so i think ure course is great. but im finding it hard to create similar chord progressins to the ones i hear common gospel musicians play.

this course does make u sound very unique though.

  • hey, man

    i have the course.

and the hardest thing im finding. is knowing what chord to play for the right mood.

i kinda know the sound in my head, its just when i choose the chords, it either takes ages for me looking through the different chords, or i end up working out the chord note by note bye ear to what sounds nice. but after all its the mood that u create that defines ure unique sound.so if u learned only 12 chords, u'd only have that mood.

  • yo man, forget that silly organ sound and use piano sounds for once!!! ok thanks!! :D
