It's funny how people say this is out of context but the words came right out of his own mouth and what really cracks me up is he's on tv denying he ever said this, blah people? hmmm
It is intellectually dishonest to misrepresent what Santorum actually said by only providing PART of his quote in your video title. It's like if I said, "I don't like white people who are members of the KKK" and you quote me as saying, "I don't like white people..."
Wow, Im forty nine years old. Ive been working since I was sixteen years old. I am retired military and currently work for a local police department. Im also a black male. I was to say sorry o Rick Santorum for taking all the with peoples money all these years. But thank you for trying to make our lives better Rick. You are the best.
Santorum is another phony conservative; he voted to raise the debt ceiling numerous times and is a supporter of earmarks; government projects charged to citizens.
Support Ron Paul this election for increased personal liberty and freedom along with a dash of fiscal conservatism.
Properties that are really lacking in America today!
@echosplanet Backtrack from saying What exactly. 1st off the poster TOTALLY and purposely misquoted him. Just took a statement ridiculously out of context. The title of the video is NOT a complete quote. Badgerhits is purposely being deceptive. Anyone with a brain should be able to recognize that he was speaking from the standpoint of being against redistribution of wealth.
@EricSuede I think he would have been ok if he just would have said poor or minority people in general.. to specifically say blacks when the state of Iowa has 85% whites on welfare is kinda crazy or smart if you're trying to get votes in the South.. this will probably help him claim the South..they love stuff like that down here.. I guess i'll be back in the fields if this guy gets elected.. hey what do i know im just another black person on welfare right?.. Lol.. by the way.. i work two jobs
@EricSuede I'm highly curious here on what is being misquoted? The title in fact does fit and of course bcause of youtube I could not fit in the whole quote but he in deed in fact say what he said ...He actually should have said "People" in general but did in fact say "Black People."
@BadgerHits The title is misleading. let's say I made a speech and in it I said "I don't like those white people who molest little boys" . For you to then focus on the first part and present it like it was a complete sentence is misleading. ie. Esuede says " I don't like those white people"
@EricSuede You may agree with him though Eric, just as a lady said "right" and he finished his statement ..Sad, but I guess this is still the world we live in.
@BadgerHits I agree maybe he should've worded it differently as not to single out black people but personally I see what he was trying to say. Again maybe it's just me but I don't think he purposely intended to make a point saying only black people are on foodstamps. His point was to express his stance against redistribution of wealth.
@BadgerHits bottomline Badger, I'm not a die hard Santorum supporter. But I do give people the benefit of doubt. I'm not one of those hyper-sensitive black men who lose their minds and whip out the race card anytime someone non-black says the word "black". People interpret things in different ways, personally I tend to understand what "context" is & i'm not offended. I feel I can discern when someone is being racist or when a person is trying to make a point. I believe Rick was doing the latter.
@EricSuede Again, I could not fit in the whole quote and went with what I had seen in the news, so I guess I am just as guilty as CBS or other news agencies. As for what you said about "I don't like those white people", Eric honestly that would be just as bad if that quote was even "I don't like black people" or "I don't like red people". Consider the source though right, Eric? Wouldn't be half surprising if Fred Phelps said "I don't like Gay people."
@BadgerHits We expect Fred to make a comment like that, again it's sad but we all know that he is a bigot and just a very hateful person but he has many supporters that agree with his stance. Santorum isn't that guy, he's a guy that is running to preside over a nation with many cultures and backgrounds and for him to single out a specific color like Black, White, Red is just wrong and does not show at all about bringing a nation together but just poking blame, in any context of the fact.
@EricSuede you are one ignorant black. He was being being intellectually deceptive and divisive. The fact is 85% of Iowan welfare recipients are white. He was pandering to a crowd of bigoted whites and the Tom that you are cant even see what happened. And i am black but Bahamian and not enslaved by the legacy of slavery that your people carry.
@MrHavana1980 So let me get this straight. I'm ignorant because I choose not to get riled up. That's right I'm supposed to let the press dictate to me that I need to get offended. by the way I truly don't give a damn about your background. I'm allowed to have an opinion as do you. If you choose to act ignorant and get mad cause the NAACP dictates that to you, then so be it. I however have a brain which fortunately makes me able to Reason.
@MrHavana1980 Got the nerve to call me ignorant. How do you think black folk got to the Bahama's. SLAVERY Dumbass. You come from a legacy of slavery as well. Don't think you're special because your ancestors who were slaves just happened to have a shorter boat trip than mine. You don't know me. Calling me a tom. lol Like I said I have a brain. I know what Santorum was trying to say.
@echosplanet He essentially said he would rather teach a man to fish and eat for life. Than give a man a fish and eat just once. Because guaranteed that man will come back every day for another meal. This is exactly what the left wants. Keep you poor so they can exploit you for their gain. What ever happened to personal responsibility ?
Hey, at least there's a hot guy at the beginning of the video :)

He has used this kind of bigotry before. He is a republican using not subtle bigotry to win over republican voters.
