Rossi's problem isn't the crash any more, it's his age and the Ducati. Stoner could have been challenging for the title after 2007 but the Ducati just sucked and ruined his chances, so we know the bike hasn't been good for years. Stoner was young when he was throwing it about so he could afford to risk pushing on the bike. Rossi's next injury could be his last so he could never afford to push the horrible Ducati like Stoner. I hope Ducati do something because it's boring without Rossi.

I suppose that the people who stand to enrich themselves by the sales of this DVD, fancied that they wouldn't trick many actual racers, or knowledgeable fans of same, into parting with $...so they tailored it to the girlies & gays who have "a thing" going for Rossi...for which this is a overly-worshipful tribute.

@bensagel I ordered the DVD off Amazon from the US. I suppose you could find it somewhere on eBay as well. From the offical website you can order but only inside the US, that's why I got it from Amazon (im in Hong Kong)

And remember, in the middle of all this crap bike setup, he fucking compound fractured his leg last season and still came back and rode the same season. what I meant was, when someone comes off a bike at that speed, they usually end up dead. But not Rossi. He was conscious and most certainly alive - admittedly with a badly broken leg. What I was trying to convey is that I think Rossi's aura of invincibility was enhanced by the accident - he's seems to manage even the most deadly situations. So for me, Rossi surviving something like that seems to make him more invincible, not less (as that commentator was suggesting).

@robertrum I don't really care for Stoner's personality, but he could very well be in contention if he keeps winning like he has. It is a proven fact that no one, including Rossi, has been able to ride the Ducati like Stoner. Even with all the changes tried this year. It's obvious that the Desmo is not the best bike on the grid and the fact that Stoner was able to win on it says a lot about his skill. I want to see Rossi back up front too. It sucks to see him struggling for 6th and 7th place.
No offense intended, but every single one of those riders would lap you time and time again, on any track, anywhere in the world. Hell, you could even be riding one of their bikes and them a production bike and STILL you don't stand a chance.

Stoner is a GOOD rider, but not the best. He crumbles under pressure like the rest who have gone head to head with Vale. Stoner - Laguna, Brno 08. Lorenzo - Brno 10. Then there's Biaggi, Gibernau. Bike racing is so different now that Rossi can't win on a slow bike with just his skill as he did in 2004, now you need to have the quickest bike and the best rider. It's rubbish, 1 rider at the front? Where's the change in winners? Need fighters up there that aren't every week like Simoncelli, RIP.

"Fastest" opens TODAY! 9/20/2011. My 100 cents... These boys are all amazing. I love to have my champion at the beginning of the race, but when it's finished, said and done... they are all my hero's. I'd like to see the TT riders compete against the motogp riders.

@redside707 Simply, because Rossi never really hurt himself when he fell.
He fell, like all other riders, but never really gravely. Pedrosa, as an example, if he falls, he almost always brakes one of his bones.
This one crash changed that, Rossi was hurt really really hard.

@robertrum I don't really care for Stoner's personality, but he could very well be in contention if he keeps winning like he has. It is a proven fact that no one, including Rossi, has been able to ride the Ducati like Stoner. Even with all the changes tried this year. It's obvious that the Desmo is not the best bike on the grid and the fact that Stoner was able to win on it says a lot about his skill. I want to see Rossi back up front too. It sucks to see him struggling for 6th and 7th place.

No offense intended, but every single one of those riders would lap you time and time again, on any track, anywhere in the world. Hell, you could even be riding one of their bikes and them a production bike and STILL you don't stand a chance.
These riders are immeasurably faster than any of us mere mortals.

Stoner is a GOOD rider, but not the best. He crumbles under pressure like the rest who have gone head to head with Vale. Stoner - Laguna, Brno 08. Lorenzo - Brno 10. Then there's Biaggi, Gibernau. Bike racing is so different now that Rossi can't win on a slow bike with just his skill as he did in 2004, now you need to have the quickest bike and the best rider. It's rubbish, 1 rider at the front? Where's the change in winners? Need fighters up there that aren't every week like Simoncelli, RIP.

@jwollman34 Well the Yamaha was always a good bike from the start and had shit loads of money thrown at it. Now he is on a Ducati, he has had more money thrown at that in this season, than Stoner and Hayden have had in the past two years, no? He is on a better bike than Stoner ever was and says that he wasn't riding hard enough. He has had plenty of time to develop that bike and is still losing. Rossi is far from the best.
